This comes from a member who have posted her pictures here on Lit. Unfortunately she've had a bad experience with it, and would like to make all the posters here concider a few things, before posting pics. She have pm'ed me this to post:

Hello,

For quite a while now a certain person (who claims to have seen me on literotica) has been hacking into my computer. I finally caught him in the act not too long ago and had a conversation with him. He says not only is he obsessed with my pictures, but he's also stalking me in real life. Now here's the kicker, I have no idea who he is.

Be careful while befriending one of your "fans." Take extra precaution when including personal information such as e-mail and possibly even your first name. If the person is insidious enough, he/she will find a way to track you. This person, I believe, was someone I spoke to outside of literotica who may have sent me an attachment and/or file with a hidden key logger.

I notice some of us like to show our faces. That of course is the prerogative of the poster, but it's also a sure way to be immediately identified by someone with horrid intentions. Just keep that in mind at all times.

I understand the thrill of opening yourself to others in such an intimate way. It's fun for everyone involved. Just keep yourself safe and informed. I would hate to see the same happen to another innocent thread starter.

I have pmed ShyGuy to ask him to make this a sticky to warn others of what has happened to one of their own. Thanks for your time. Have fun, but keep safe!

I've added this to the "Threads to read for the members who frequent the "Amateur Pic Feedback" forum" sticky, so there isn't a big need to keep bumping it.

Someone asked me once if I was paranoid because I told him I wouldn't post a picture of myself and I replied that if the danger is real then it isn't paranoia. He replied that there is no reason to be cautious until the danger presents itself.

I figured it would futile to point out that quite often waiting for the danger to present itself when the Internet is involved can be fatal.

re a few thoughts

hi ! i'm a new member here and aftew reading your advice about posting! pics! i was wondering if you're problem is still ongoing or has it been sorted out. thanks! for the advice! anyway.

This persons problem is a perfect example of why you should never open attachments or except files from people you don't really know. Also shows why you should run a good software firewall, antivirus and trojan cleaner programs.

Sure its nice to trust people, befriend them and have fun, but you first have to be safe and take care of #1 = YOU

Stay Safe :)

I agree you should keep your personal info personal, some of us how ever cannot blur our faces because we model on the internet with different sites so our faces are shown no matter what , no one wants to pay for a faceless pic. Just becareful and never except any attachments from someone you do not know
