Is it too early to be thinking of, and planning for, Valentine's Day already? Especially since I don't have boyfriend or a date?

I know exactly what I want to do, I even went today and reserved the jacuzzi suite. Now all I gotta do is find a date :D

Any of you making plans yet??

I'll be your date. Now all I gotta do is get a plane. I don't have any plans, except staying at home, alone, grumbling how Valentine's Day sucks ass.

usually it does....

i was married for 10yrs and we never once celebrated v-day. now that i think abt it, i dont believe i've ever had a valentine's date. but i have had some very nice valentine's days hangin out with good friends ;)

"Life is like a box of chocolates..."

PS... even if I dont get me a date for v-day I am still gonna enjoy that jacuzzi suite :D including candles, incense, wine, and good foods. it'll be a "I Love Me" kind of night.

The stores think it's time. I can't believe they had the Valentines stuff up on January 5th...

I have what I need for that holiday right here at home. We just use what we've got. ;)

I don't think its ever too early to start planning for V-day. I understand what you are talking about with respect to being in a relationship where your partner has no interest in celebrating V-day. For some reason, romance seems to be seriously lacking out there. During college, there was an entire bunch of girls (of which I was one) who used to celebrate V-day by doing girly stuff together...we'd cut class that day, get manicures, go shopping, go out for a really great dinner and then end up the night with a couple of bottles of wine and some really great chick movies.

(however...I like your jacuzzi suite idea too...hope you have tons of fun for V-day this year)

Diablogrl, that is such an awesome ideal! I might think about planning something like that for next yr. Even if most of my g-friends are married or have b-friends it is still something we can do during the day and would be great preperations for the evening ahead. :p

awww you know... you have always been so sweet to me, even when you first came to this board and was so sarcastic haha i'd luv a v-day card honey *smoochies*

Throw in a pizza or two and you've got yourself a date! :rose:

you know, I was including pizza in that "good foods" category :D

now all you gotta do is decide, pizza hut, dominos, or little ceasars ;)

Now, if that wine is white, you got yourself a double date. In a sense.

I'm not sure what I will be doing on Valentine's day. I'm used to not doing anything on Valentine's Day since in the 11 years I was with my ex, we celebrated maybe 3 times. I'm dating someone now though, so I'm hoping that has changed. We shall see. *sigh*

I hope everyone here has an especially wonderful Valentine's Day.

Anything but Pizza Hut is good for me. :D

Now, let's talk about where and when..... *smirks*

wOw

just my luck - 2 valentine's dates and both of them thousands of miles from me ;)

well atleast its nice to know I have options hehe

Nah, no plans here either thus far. It wouldn't kill me if I didn't have any plans this year either. Most years go like that for me and I've gotten accustomed to it. :)

But perhaps I can recommend a poetry-writing venture to pass the evening?

Nope...not at all...I'm going to be up at the very start of V-day...on the road...driving...then getting in a plane...and flying...and then sitting on a beach in cuba and drinking :D Yeahhhhh V-Day :D lol

If you are open-minded, and don't mind three for valentine's, I can say it would be quite romantic and possibly even kinky... You know where to find Me. And I'm not thousands of miles away...

Cheers

My boyfriend made plans for Valentine's Day about three months ago. It is never too early to make romantic plans for anything.

Kitten,

Unfortunately, I'm the kind of guy that starts thinking about Valentine's Day on Feb. 13th, wishing that it was at least Feb 1st.

But that's just the thing about love, isn't it? If you're in love with someone, then you don't need a 'special day' for yourselves; and when you're not, it's kind of an obligation acknowledging your 'so-called' partner.

Kitten,

I was going to ask for the pleasure of a date with you, on Valentine's Day'. I was even going to throw in the hot tub and white sandy beaches; I do appreciate the acknowledgement of the pizza though.

Unfortunately, I won't be home. I'm still over here in the Netherlands, and won't be back till May. Maybe next year???
:rose:
