needleplay...whats the buzz?

I had my first experience with needleplay this week, Having no previous interest, (the opportunity was there and being an experimental and brave lass...)I am now curious to know more about it. Can anyone offer any experiences, like do you do it often and what it does for you? How did you learn the skill,or how did you find someone to do it? Even history, anatomy and physiology. Is it purely for the endorphin rush? I am still undecided to whether I would go there again, it was so intensely strange. Completely cured a hangover tho, L&L, LCG

Thanks folks, Until now I had no real urge to explore needle play,being more of a "whip me /spank me kinda gal". I have some permanent piercings and got that sharp buzz, but this was so different.The total spontainaity made the scene so very more surreal, despite the clinical surroundings.
And it developed like slow choreography, a methodical but beautifully intricate dance. The piercer was very skilled and professional, and (obviously) enthusiastic.Once he started, I had no option but to follow it through to the end( ok i am a sub slut), He used a lot of "Vocal Local" and I felt very safe.
Now I just want to know more.Esp from those on the "sharp end of the stick".
This is so typical of me tho, curiosity in hindsight.

what happens if I do this...

I don't see much except safety stuff in the links posted. They also seem to focus on subcutaneous piercing, perhaps of the decorative sort (interesting patterns).


I can't find 'needle' anything in the library (under "N"). But probably I'm missing something.

No, I don't think it's just 'endorphin' rush, though that's part of it.

It's not exactly clear to me what you want to know, except 'why is it so", meaning erotic, I guess, and that is not easy to answer for any kink. Maybe you can clarify.

As to the library, I've just recently collected all the "Play Piercing" threads under the category Piercing and Body Modification, they probably deserve a cross-ref to Techniques as well. I'll get around to it, when work allows.

I'm a pretty avid piercer and piercee. It's not a big time D/s thing for me, I don't really do much power play when I pierce. It's more ritualistic, it's more "pure" sadomasochism. I don't know why this activity invites that mindset so much for me, but it does.

Personally, maybe endorphins aren't the only thing, but they are the major thing! There's nothing else that gets a person so high so fast. I've never been a giggler when I bottom. Pierce me and I giggle, go figure.

The physical reactions are really usually intense, the endorphins tend to "spike." People pass out easily and it's not an "I'm afraid of needles/blood" passing out, it's literally becoming chemically overwhelmed quickly.

Neat weird bodily tricks, that's what I dig about piercing.

LCG is busy for at least another week and will attend to this thread when she is free.

From what I know and observed she is looking for anything to help expand her understanding of the practice and experience of play piercing. She has experienced 100 30g needles in various body tissues. Not just subc. shallow piercing but more perpendicular like acupuncture. She understands permanent piercing also.

J from PE let me share that any pierce either shallow subc in a pattern or not is more than just decorative. Steel in the body is very intense , in the mind and in the senses. 100 is well...LCG may tell us. As it turns out her experince was a patterned one but so much more also.

If you have anything to share J we(all readers) would be glad of to absorb the information. I am not sure though that anybody expects an explanation of the kink, kinked we are and kinked we accept ourselves, expansion of the experience is more the goal.

To find the few posts about "piercing" here I used the search function J, mind you I knew the stuff was there so knew to look.

Hey enthusiasts, I had another needleplay last week, above the belt only this time but 25 and 23 gauge needles, plus 4 large custom made spikes through my entire breasts, which I was then picked up by. The endorphin charge was pretty incredible, I did a bit of pain research....about the nervous system and function of the hypothalumus, and how pain is experianced at a physiological level and the body's responses to stimuli.
I still think my attraction is purely for the stimulation (ie the actual pain inflicted). The piercer was very attentive and gave me a lot of vocal local, but after a while I just wanted to lie back and internalise what I was experiencing.Not dancing with a partner, just selfishly focus on the pure sensation.I'm not even in it for the visual,I didn't really want to see, just want the body tricks as Netzach said, I guess.
Thanks for the links, lots of safety and "art", as an enthusiast of body art I enjoyed them a lot.But still not what I am looking for....
