Lately the idea of cutting a design into my skin has started to appeal to me. I don't want to kill myself or even hurt myself, well not real bad, the idea just sounds interesting. Anybody know of a website or an actual local where they discuss scarrifacation?
 
BMEzine is pretty much the gold standard for body modification of any kind on the web; unfortunately, in recent months alot of it has turned into a pay site. On the up side, I believe the FAQs are still in the free access section.

I'd give this move some longgg hard thought before actually touching your skin, Kain. Question your motives, look at what you're actually going for--if you do decided to go down that path, by all means do it safely. There are some nasty little bugs on your skin that can leave you with at the least a rotten looking cut, at the worst, necrotizing fasciaitis (loss of the limb the cut is on, and possibly your life).

Well...I can say I've just been scarred. Wasn't me though...those nasty Dr's. I'm at home recovering now. :rose: You can always go that route Dr.s love to do that to you. Plus, they give you pain meds too.

Yeah, I was planning on having someone else either do it or assist. I am well aware of the risks, and I don't want to cause an infection. I though about branding as well, but there are no places around here that do it.

Maybe a test cutting may not be a bad idea either to check how your skin deals with it. Due to a skin problem, we put off the idea of branding for now, but may revisit it in the future. For now we have stuck with a possession cutting which was done after an initial test run, and also plan to make a small cutting for each year of marriage....not the conventional anniversary present, but we are not that conventional anyway. While I may not chose to do something like this to myself, I will ALWAYS support someone else's right to his or her own kink. You might want to remember that little statement Maxell46. In regards to the scarring, I actually have a scar on my right bicep. It was done when I was younger, it is part of the reason I want a new one. I want it covered up or altered, I am not proud of it.

There are just TO many subjects that irk me/make me wonder what on earth are folks thinking!
