which lube do you like??

I was just curious, what is your favorite lube to use???? There are so many out there how do you know for sure? I mean it is a chance to try all sorts of stuff but I just wondered if I get a lot of posts which one would be the most popular??? Maybe you don't even use any but I am just so curious about this......


Please chime in and lets do a little lubrication investigation

In order of preference:

1. Olive oil, (yeah, the one in your kitchen)
2. "Eros", by pjur, better adult outlets or www.pjur.com
3. "Glide", don't have a bottle handy but it's in most adult stores/ catalogues.

I'm not quite sure, I haven't had to get any in awhile. But I did grease my car today after the oil change, 5W30.

We seem to prefer Quaker State products in a nice synthetic blend. The make a nice 10w40. Of course, we occasionally doctor it up with Slick 50.

Anyone else use Slick 50? It saved our asses one time up in Alaska.

Ahhhhh yes the funny folks are out and about tonite.... I mean what do you use for sex between you and your SO or you and your hand or finger or what ever...can we be serious here this is a very scientific study and I will be doing my graduate work on this subject....you know a Ph.D Piled higher & Deeper

Ditto, but with "Duralube", only it was summer in Fla and I lost a lower radiator hose, then drove several miles to the house. Engine never siezed. New hoses and new spark plugs, oh, and new oil with another bottle of Duralube.

(I forgot that on my list above. Sorry.)

Uh, lube? I get my SO so hot and bothered, hence, wet, we don't need any damn lube.

ok, back on track, I was absolutely serious about the olive oil. Got that tip from a massage therapist who didn't use it because it was "too slippery". The old light bulb went on and the rest is (blissful) history.

Good enough, so far. I really had never heard of using olive oil I am hoplessly mid western ya know!!! Strange as it may sound I like hawaian tropic sun tan lotion.....something about the smell of that stuff that just drives me wild, yes it drives me wild crazy nutso over the hill totally out of control I think it might be the smell of the coconut oil I have a lust for coconut meat right out of the shell yummmy

Is this lube for a party of one or a party of two?

I don't think I want olive oil inside of me. Doesn't sound quite right for some reason.

The smart ass sitting next to me wants to know if it has to be "extra virgin" olive oil.

Which lube is best can depend on the intended purpose.

**Olive (or coconut, or any other variety of) oil can be great for massage or hand play. DON'T let it get in the vagina (her self-cleansing mechanism will get messed up and she can easily get an infection), and DON'T let it get near a condom (it will cause the condom to break.)

**Water-based lubes (like Astroglide) are the standard, are easy to find, and are relatively inexpensive. They are also safe to use on/in any body part and with any toy or contraceptive. Astroglide is great for general use, though I find it a bit too thin for anal play or fisting. For those, I have used Slippery Stuff with success; it's a bit thicker, so it provides some cushioning and last longer. For any of the thicker lubes, I stronly recommend getting a pump bottle rather than the squeeze variety-- MUCH easier to use! BTW, KY jelly was not designed as a sexual lubricant.

** Silicone-based lubes are less common and more expensive. They are safe for use in/on any body part and most toys, but often NOT with silicone-based toys. (Double-check your dildos!) Since there's no water to evaporate, these lubes last longer than water-based and do not get sticky/tacky. My gf and I have started using Wet Platinum for our forays into fisting with great success. Her biggest rave was the fact that it doesn't get sticky like AG or Slippery Stuff do when they start to dry out.

Keep your intended usage and safety concerns in mind and then just start experimenting. Buy a small bottle of AG first and try that. Move on to other stuff from there. Enjoy!

Rain Personal Lubricant, Cherry flavour.
