I asked MissT to copy or move, so it's up to her. I mentioned in the PM that WriterDom had given permission in the thread, so she'll probably look in here (hi, MissT!) and see your note too.catalina_francisco said:Perhaps a copy to GLBT board is better than a shift as I think it a subject many would find of interest here also.

Not sure. But it sounds right.
addition: Make that sub straight men. I have heard that some sub gay men also have Daddy's.

A good friend of mine, an extremely fem lesbian who is TERRIFIED of men to the point that I am about her only male friend, stays exclusively with "gender benders", women who've basically assumed male roles 24/7, get addressed as "Sir" or "Daddy", dress as men, etc etc
I've always wondered at the psyche that would male her seek partners (Dominant ones no less) who ape that which she fears the most
James G 5 answered this very well by mentioning gender play. There is plenty involved with being a butch, whether or not she has a biological dick is totally unrelated. (Many would also be insulted by the implication that "Mommy" is more appropriate.)Johnny Mayberry said:Wouldn't a 'parental' lesbian be a 'Mommy'? Butch or not, she still doesn't have a penis.

Do dykes who prefer butch women have a secret desire to be with men? Maybe, but maybe not - it depends on the individual. Do all butch women live fully as men? No way - it depends on the individual. Can two butch women have a Daddy/boi relationship? Sure. What's most important is to use the term preferred by the person, not what you think they should be called based on societal "norms."
From a personal standpoint, it's nobody's business what my Daddy has under those briefs. We have a Daddy/girl relationship, and that's what's important. (Anybody inferring that I am stating my Daddy is a butch woman is picking up something I am not implying. What I'm stating is that it doesn't matter, and I'm not telling.)

Well put!D's mariposa said:Depends on how the parental lesbian self identifies. (Try saying that three times fast!) Some lesbians identify more as male than female so you get a Daddy instead of a Mommy. They're all just luscious.

It's got to be at least as stupid as when biological men do it.
Isn't all of this stuff pretty silly if you take a big step back from it?
Sometimes I do that, I think to myself when A co-worker asks "what are you doing tonight" what I'd sound like if I were honest, and it's really good comedy.

Just like when you imagine telling the guys at the breakroom at work what you did last weekend. "Me and my best girl went to see a movie, then I took her home, tied her up, and shoved a corn cob up her ass'...sounds pretty silly too, oh well.

Dustygrrl said:I guess it's not any different than when a Dom/Domme likes to do forced feminization. At least in some ways. In the lesbian and gay community we are really glued down to our roles unfortunately. And as far as a Daddy goes it's not like we are the ones that are stereotyped as being Butch.
I enjoy playing a Daddy, I like being nurturing at the same time as being truly wicked to my girl. It's a role that fits me well. I'm a gender bender now, though I've not allowed myself to be until recently because of family concerns.
Let me take a stab at this. My girl doesn't like men. She isn't afraid of them though. She was seriously neglected by her alcoholic parents while growing up. I'd wanted to try the Daddy role instead of just Dominant (I won't say Domme because I see myself as Dom) and slipped nicely into the Daddy role. It turned into a big mind fuck that night and she fell in love with the role. I think the issue is that she is getting the nurturing she needs from what she see's to be a male counterpart without actually being with a male. If that makes sense?
Sorry for rambling, I just got up and about to wobble out the door to go to work lol
