Nope, I like meat of every kind. :D
Had to be the first to make a meat joke.

Damn, forgot to mention I didn't mean that kind of meat. I mean the kind you eat... er well... the kind of meat you put into a sandwhich... I mean... the kind that dribbles juices...

Oh fuck it... You know what I mean.

Vegetarian!

Vegetarian is great, especially with a good pot roast.

Now you've made me hungry again.

Damn.

Well are you?

Do you only eat vegetables - the ones grown in the ground that is rather than the elected representatives of the public.

Or do you feel that 'green' is a sign of food being off?

no...... i still eat what I grow though

I only eat red meat once in awhile...I'd much rather have chicken or fish, but as for being vegetarian....nope...no way...huh uh...

I don't like anything that has to die for me....tis true that plants die for my nutrition...but I have to draw the line somewhere....if I could live on just water...I would.

Peace and happiness to carnivores, herbivores, and omnivores alike.

I am not vegetarian but have had a couple of my adult children and/or their S/O's take up that lifestyle. It's been fun watching the women of my family worry themselves sick over holiday meals in order to accommodate the vegies. Personally I just let them fend for themselves and just make sure we have a couple extra vegetable dishes. That really isn't hard to do at say, Thanksgiving etc. I think the only change I made was to use vegetable broth instead of chicken stock in my dressing. And that was by special request from my son, who really wanted some of Mom's dressing -- of course I made him extra to take back home. When they visit, I usually let them suggest a restaurant or request meal items -- it's really not hard to blend all the philosophies. I just don't want to hear any lectures about animals while I'm chomping down on a beefburger. Thank you very much.

Meat eater here

I love my cow...and chicken, and pork, and many other furry critters. especially when skinned, cleaned and slapped on the Barbque. And go ahead, lecture me about how those were living things. *grins* last time someone did that, I had a HUGE steak cooked rare...and ate it right in front of them. I don't ask you to eat meat, don't give me problems about eating it. :)p

That being said, I also think that anyone who eats meat, should kill and clean one animal that they intend to eat. If you can't stomach that, then you shouldn't eat meat.

Oh, and Veggies? I like them too. Grilled, sauted, raw, in a nice salad? great....for a side dish! :)

Hmmm. No obliagatory 'other'?

I am primarily a vegetarian, but I do love meat - only I am extremely particular about where it comes from. I want to know what kind of feed the animals had, and in what kind of conditions they were raised. If I am dining out, if the staff of the restaurant can't answer my question about from where they source their meats, I will take a vegetarian option.

I never have infused my views on anyone that I'm aware....and on a few occasions when I've gone to others houses...I have eaten what they've served....though I tend to take less of it,I do this so that I do not offend anyone who has prepared the meal.

My body at this point (going on 8 years I think)...really doesn't process animal products that well, as the enzymes aren't there anymore...and I tend to get sick if I eat any animal. I'm sure this could be pointed psychological or physical...but like I said...I don't preach. I understand the desire of those who hunt...or who have an understanding of nature....I am against a person killing an animal just to kill it, or to get a trophy.

Peace and Happiness all.

:)

Well, I remain a member of the minority. I've been a vegetarian for 15 years, though I did start eating certain kinds of fish (no shellfish, though) about 8 years ago.

Yes, it's true - I became a veg. at 12.

I'm mostly satisfied with the reasons that I continue to be a veg. today, though a few regrets...for example, I regret that I refused to eat the chicken served once at a large village dinner in western Nepal. Then again India seemed to confirm my vegetarian ethos, and I had no problem whatsoever sticking to veggies and milk product there.

Yeah, well, I'm a firm believer that carrots scream when you yank them out of the ground!
Lardy milkshakes? That's just gross

I eat vegetarian meat.

Cows eat grass and stuff so therefore to eat them, must be vegetarian as well.
