I created the app that powers the CHYOO website. I had a close look at the CHYOO forums and managed to glean a lot of good ideas/suggestions. Some of these ideas I had in mind when I coded the app (but set aside due to sheer laziness). Others had me smacking my forehead wondering, "Why the **** didn't I think of that?".
In any case your excellent feedback has piqued my interest, and inspired me to draft a todo list for a revamped version. What I'd like from you is a top 5 (or top-any-number) list of features you'd like to see in a new version.
There are two features you can bypass:
1. Story Breakdown -- a threaded list that allows editors/readers/writers to jump directly to specific areas of the story
2. Link Backs -- facility for editors/writers to link options back to previously written threads
These are two things that should've appeared in the first incarnation, and have me weeping big salty tears of regret. They would both appear in a new version, guaranteed.
Notice I'm using the conditional tense, ie. "would". I'm a busy little nerd and a project of this nature offers very little material rewards. As such the earliest I'd be able to tackle it is in 2 - 3 months, and a lot of things can happen in that timeframe.
That does, however, give you more time to contribute your wish lists, which in turn gives me more ideas to implement (and later take all the credit for).
