Hey there Red, having received the compliment of being noticed by another literotican how can I not offer to join your thread. As you've read Beauty, you know that I write longish posts and even during sex scenes (which Beauty is firmly "rooted" within, if you'll forgive the pun) I still include inner workings, plans, indications of the future plot, etc. I am also fully capable of writing a long story without any sex at all. Finally, I write male AND female characters, so if you need a prince, a fairy sexmother, an ugly sister or evil stepmother (and if they are sexual with Cinders then I assume that they are assaultive in their sexuality), I'd love to join you.

Of course, given the nature of the storyline, only Cinderella is a constant character. The family are only in the beginning and end, the fairy godmother is a brief appearance, the prince doesn't appear until about half-way through. So it may also be that you only want one or two players to control all characters but the lead so that you have a consistent set of writers. I'm happy to be one of those writers too, I have no need for any of my characters to be present throughout a thread.

Either way, or indeed if you'd rather I not be part of your storyline (for instance, if you need rapid turnaround), then it might be worthwhile for you to expand on how you'd like the story to play out.

I don't need to be Cinderella, so if someone else would like to do that, that's okay. I'm partial to playing a side character.

Also... though the Prince appears half way through, that is in the "non-erotic" Cinderella. Not ours. The Prince's story (his life at the castle and such) can still be played out as Cinderella's story is.

How cruel the step-family is will also be up to the writers. If you want incest, then you'll have to okay it will the writers playing that part. I don't have issues either way, so incest if I were a step or Cinderella isn't going to be a problem for me to write. *shrugs* It's all a fantasy anyway.

I've read both of your writings prior to this idea, so there is no reason for you to think you're not welcomed. I'm glad you're interested. NPCs are also workable between us if more folks aren't interested.

It sounds like, with three of us, we have enough to kick this baby off whenever you want - though we will need to divvy up characters before doing so I guess. I am happy to take any chars, and hop aboard at any point. I may be a little slower this week simply because we're facing a gratwriting deadline of Monday morning and there is a ton of work to do to try and pull in a 3/4 million for the agency we're working for. RL priorities first, I'm afraid. That said, I still seem able to throw a post or two together a day - helps me relax.

I know Tseranc may be interested too. He was on for a short spell last night and I mentioned this OOC. He asked for a link, got it and then said he'd read the thread today. So if he says yes, then I think it would be good to keep it at 4 unless 2 more show up today. Then it can run with 6.

A few things I like to get done with before starting though is setting ground rules, nothing big mind you but mainly how you both feel about people "gently" moving your characters.

I've written with Tseranc so much in the past couple years that I know when it is safe to move him or advance the action. I've not written with either of you so I don't know your thoughts or opinions on that.

I wouldn't be talking giant moves or personality changing stuff, but simple things, like the character turning their head to look at the other or to look at an object or another person. I really need to know about moving characters during sex scenes - are you okay with it or not.

Also if there is a problem and its a personal conflict between writers, I'd greatly appreciate that being done behind the OOC and behind the thread in PMs. Either PM me and I'll moderate (if possible) or handle it yourself in PMs. I hate airing dirty laundry in public. I've done it, believe me, but someone really has to piss me off to do it.

I'll put the IC thread up later on this afternoon. I'm in a lot of SRPs and I write stories as well, so I'm not expecting everyone to post every single day and have this story advance quickly. I enjoy laid back threads simply because you get, in my opinion, a better story because folks have time to comprehend the scene and then move on. That's not to say that if I'm online at the same time as a co-writer and we just happen to click with the characters and the scene at that time I won't post one after another with them. I will.

You know... I'm drinking Mt. Dew right now... it makes me ramble.

Hey Red, a response to your questions etc:

Moving my character: I have no objection to it - I do it myself to a small extent. As I often write control threads (whether victim or villain) it becomes necessary. All I ask is that if I feel someone has done something that I feel goes against the character they be willing to change it. In years of writing I have seldom if ever seen that happen. Rather I have sometimes seen things phrased in such a way that inspires me to deepen a character by exploring an as-yet unconsidered angle.

With regard to conflict between writers, I generally feel this is due to a case of one not realizing the false assumptions being made about the other. When I realize I've done this I do PM the other author (or if a case of assuming about the group as a whole in a group thread, I use the ooc). A polite message and question as to where to go generally suffices to resolve any issues. Case in point, in Bloody Pirates I had initially perceived my character as stern-controlling/dominant instead of stern-romantic lead. Talking to my fellow writer cleared up what she was looking for and I swapped thigns around slightly. It's a much better thread the way she wanted it.

Thanks for the response, I greatly appreciate it. Sometimes it is necessary to move another in small degrees, otherwise we are stuck with a few lines and I hate it when I have to do that. I've done it. I'll admit to it, but I cringe when I do.

Issues and problems will arise but they can usually be handled quickly as long as people don't let them fester. I did and that's why I blew up publicly instead of privately. I'm human though (but don't tell anyone, it'll blow my cover.)

Oh, before I forget... We don't have to have 3 step sisters. We can have step-brothers or a step-father. Remember this is our version not Disney's.

Hey, as the person with multiple personality disorder said to his shrink: I could be just about anybody. Seriously though I agree with you. Major part, minor part, ultimately you seldom know which is which when you start writing a thread of more than 1-on-1. For instance, someone takes Prince Charming and someone Cinders... those people then seldom contribute while players for the Fairy Godfather and Evil Stepmother do and end up interacting... the storyline then becomes a background story of the conflict between the two. As I see it we need volunteers for at least the following:

1) Evil Stepmother/father
2) Ugly Stepsister/brother number 1
3) Ugly Stepsister/brother number 2
4) Cinderella/Cinderandrew
5) Prince/Princess Gormless (I mean REALLY can't you tell a size 12 foot doesn't go into a size 2 slipper?)
6) Fairy Godmother/father

I think I left all parts open to either gender as per your suggestion.

Now that's a tough one...
Cinderella would be lots of fun and I wouldn't mind having a bash at her...if you don't want to yourself...

Am fine with character moves as long as it's nothing too huge or, as you said, character changing...

Am flying home to Mr Brit tomorrow *cue insane amounts of giggling and bounding about* so will be out of action for a day or so but should be back online by Saturday night (UK time )

Would you believe I hadn't even thought of the Fairy Godparent. *snickers*

I definitely want a female Cinderella, call me wimpy but I really don't want it to change that much! lol... So Brit's our Cindy. w00t!

Let's see who else bites before I decide if I want to be a step-something, or a Godmother, unless you, BadForm, have a notion of who you'd like to be. I have no qualms with you taking the role of the Prince if you'd like, or the Fairy Godfather if you'd rather.

I've seen your writing and have always thought it would be fun to be in a thread with you. You aren't going to disappoint me. It takes a lot to do that and I just don't see that happening.

Enjoy your time with Mr Brit. I figure we'll get the post started sometime today. If you're not able to when we do, no worries, the role will wait and so will the thread. We all have real lives you know... though judging by my post count it may look like I don't.

Hi all I would love to be one of the evil step sister, I have not had a chance to play a bad girl yet, well atleast not a evil one, most on this stran know my writing so if it is okay i would like to join.

Hi there. I've glanced through your writing. This story will be written in third person point of view, not first, which is what you seem familiar with or it is what you happen to do the most of (granted I didn't look through every prior post). Is that going to be an issue for you? (or anyone for that matter).

I guess you can call me a stickler, but it really distracts (me) from the story if you're reading in third and then suddenly your in first person. I'd ask you to edit if you switched to first.

You're posts aren't long, but they aren't as short as I've seen on Lit either. Since I've not written with you before I'll ask those that have to PM me if they have qualms about you coming onboard. I'll not let anyone know what is said behind the privacy of my PM, so if there are personal conflicts they'll remain private.

Also... to everyone. I Hate OOC in a thread. We have an OOC so we can use it. Please try to remember to keep the OOC out of the thread and come here to post if you need to. If you accidentally forget, I'll ask you to edit. I'm not a bitch, honest. I just like clean stories that don't distract, believe it or not, if it is a good story, I'll go back and read it over again off and on as the thread progresses and folks do read along with us.

Okay, now that you've seen a part of my anal retentive side (something I didn't know I had till a friend pointed it out to me. ) I do hope I haven't scared you off.

HI Red, not prob you did not scare me off, I can write in third person I did in a few threads, it is just right now I am in so many one on ones that it is not plausable to write in thrid, as to the length of my posts I tend to write the same length as those I post with, I don't mind you checking with the other authors about me as i am in threads with both BadForm and Poohlive at the moment.

As a step-sister are you adverse to writing Incest? Or rape? This question goes for everyone. So please make sure if there is some act you're not willing to write, we all know it, so we don't write a scene in. Any type of play that you'll cringe at and will refuse? Anal?

There will be no brown/golden showers, so no worries there. Some folks are into that. . . I'm not one of them.

Hey Red, I have been in just about every type of role play so far, there is nothing i am adverse too. I am however mindfull of the other authors likes and dislikes and since i have written threads with most, I don't think there well be any lack of imagenation on this thread, I can't wait to see where this all goes.

let me know when you want me to post my bio, do you have any preferences for age, looks, or behavoirs, just let me know so I can work them in.

Everyone can post a bio as soon as they are ready. If we pick up a 6th player that's cool, if not that is okay too.

As far as age, just the legal Lit age is required.

You honestly don't even have to be an ugly step-sister, you just have to be mean to poor ol' Cindy. Unless, later you decide you like her after all and you have an attack of pity.

Am assuming young Cindy will be the youngest...so will probably make her 18/19...if that's ok with everyone?
