Okay folks second try here:). The concept is the Exiles and their sibling group Weapon X. This thread is the joint OOC thread for both teams. If we get enough interest we'll be putting up two IC threads. One for the Exiles with their struggles to retain their morality while having to make hard choices that could include killing people they hold dear. The Weapon X thread will be for those wanting to play characters willing to do anything to regain their places from their own world. The Weapon X thread won't be for the faint of heart.

Okay so I've rambled a bit here. This is the Marvel Comics' listing on the Exiles and Weapon X.

Exiles.

Weapon X.
http://www.marvel.com/universe/Weapon_X_(Exiles)

Pitch time part two. Imagine getting to play any take on any of the X-Men (The Exiles' members) or anyone else in the Marvel Universe (Primarily confined to Weapon X but give me a reason your choice could be an X-Man and you could be in the Exiles.). Want to play a female X-Men version of Sabretooth? Done. I myself will be running a character in both threads. For the Exiles thread I will be Playing Namora, a blue skinned female SubMariner. For Weapon X I will be playing a female psychotic Captain America. Does this give you all an Idea of the range these threads can take?

Now for the bad. This thread can and will include character deathes. When someone comes up with a new idea they can have their character die to bring in the new one. I'm babbling about this because each team has a membership of six. Because I am running a character in each thread the number of players for any team will be five. If you don't make the list quick enough you get the next opening. Returning layers will go to the end of the line for placement. If you don't make the numbers you can always give me an idea and you can run the NPC in that world you want to.

Exiles Membership

Jubilee (I Am Lust)
Cypher (Armphid)
Corsair (Dragonrazor)
Doctor Octopus (Nightcrowe)
Wardance (Wyldfire)

Weapon X Membership

Dazzler (Lady Aria)
Deadpool (Chronicle Tenko)
Captain America (Wyldfire)
Bloodsabre (Mephistophelily)

Now for my profiles.

Name: Namora
Alias: None
Age: 110 years old
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 170 pounds.
Powers: Amphibious, Strength, toughness, flight, speed,
Appearance: See attachment.
Personality: Namora is A female version of Namor except she is pure Atlantian. Think of all of Namor's ego and overconfidence in a beautiful blue female body. Yep she's going to be a stone cold bitch at times y'all.

See the Wikipedia history of Namora prior to her joining the Exiles for info on her world.

Name: Jill Daniels
Alias: Captain America
Height: 5' 7"
Weight: 150 pounds
Powers: Enhanced strength, agility, toughness, reflexes, and combat skills. She is a marksman with any firearm or thrown weapon. Possesses a saw bladed shield made of an adamantium/Vibranium alloy and four smaller throwing disks of the same alloy.
Appearance: See attachment.
Personality: Jill is an unstable personality with psychotic tendencies choosing to kill where a take down would suffice. She is arrogant in her skills in combat and delights in the harm she causes.
History: Earth 775 was the same as the 616 Earth until during the great depression when the U.S. chose to end the depresion with conquest. They formed an alliance with Japan and Italy and that became known as the Axis. The rest of the worlds governments banded together of the Allies with Germany being the strongest allied forces. In an attemnpt to sway the war the U.S. began a Super Soldier porgram and the original Captain America, Stephanie Rogers, was born. She served her country and had she not been "lost" during a raid in Germany the U.S. might have won World War II. But she was lost and frozen as the 616 Captain was. She was found and awoken in the 1980's. She served her country yet again in it's covert cold war with the Russians who'd entered at the End of World War II to sway the tides of that war to a stalemate. When Stephanie was given an assignment to kill the Kremlin's daughter she refused and was executed for treason.

Jill Daniels had been part of a recent attempt to recreate the Super Soldier project and had been considered a success. The only negative to her "Rebirth" had been a mental instability that provokes episodes of psychotic behavior. She became known as the Patriot and served as a back up for Captain America until her execution. At which time Daniels was offered the identity of Capatain America and the U.S. became feared again.

Daniels was "Unhinged" from time by the timebrokers, being told that if she didn't serve with Weapon X her world would have lost World War II and would have become a Nation torn apart as the spoils of war.

So come one come all have fun saving universes or killing classic characters as you need to. But please, I would like for a basic understanding of english to be a requirement. No offense is meant in this but it makes it easier for the other players. The Time Brokers are waiting.

Awesome, well I've always been partial to Wade. And deadpool is Weapon X to the core. Cheerfully Amoral, decidedly crazy, and you just can't kill him, (though I'm sure we can find a way) Wade is extra crispy handfuls of viagra style fun.

I'll get a Bio up soon but I'll stake him, and as an Exile, I'm kind of leaning towards Maxx Comics version of Hyperion, Mark Milton.

I'll think on Exiles and get a bio up for both soon.

But Wade in Weapon X most definetly.

lol. Give us the Bio on your dear Deadpool and we'll get you on the list for Weapon X hun. And as to two character groupings depending on the turn out we'll let it happen but if we get a surge of players it'll be one apiece.

Wade

Alright for the weapon X side, we'll pull Wade Wilson also known as Deadpool out of the works. I know, I know I've played him a few times but I really like him. He's just so awesome. However we'll be adding a few twists to this particular Wade rewriting back story, appearance, and general mannerisms.

Name: Major Wade Wilson: Deadpool
Appearance: http://images.wikia.com/marveldatabase/images/0/0d/Ultimatedeadpool.jpg
Height: 6'2
Weight: 210
Eyes: Blue
Hair: None

Bio: Wade comes from Earth 1867, in which History went along up to the war of 1812. Instead of agreeing to the peace and keeping the treaty, in 1814 rogue agents and some of the first mutants killed Andrew Jackson in the battle of New Orleans. Enraged that the American army was still fighthing after a ratified Treaty of Ghent Canadian Militia and Indian Natives Broke lines and slaughtered down the 13 united states leaving little behind. After that point America was a tabby cat while British rule of the Canadian Dominon slackened considerably. Western U.S. still became the Western U.S. but the eastern board became part of Canada.

In World War two the attack on the American Pearl Harbour became a disaster for both fronts and after the dust cleared, there was a Joint and unified North American Republic. Which was the strongest and largest nation in the world.

Unable to support it's massive size Canada was a pendulous Giant while the smaller and slightly Humbled Untied States was easily able to make key suggestions, and the unification of the two great War powers created a juggernaut that none in the world could hope to withstand. The Appearance of a Captain America (Weapon I) and the subsequent Supersoldier program produced Top Assassins that few could hope to match. Soon most of the world was under control of NAR.

Department H set up and began a severe training and washout program for those with few chances. Major Wade Wilson was a volunteer to the program. After the success of Project: Wolverine (Weapon X) a Healing Factor was artificially enhanced to be used in further Weapon Projects. The project was a success in a small way. While Major Wilson was gifted with an extraordinary healing ability, which he could use to regenerate from even a spatter of blood, the continuous regenerating feeling twisted his thought processes and brain, making him unstable at best, Obsessive/Compulsive at least.

Kept in a black bag Major Wilson was primarily used as a Hitman, and travelled using his death as cover in bodybags. Over time the guessing game of how he would die to escape authorities this time and what face he would die in gave him the cruel nickname of Deadpool. Breaking away from the organization he underwent extensive training from several other rogue agents from the Weapon Project, Colonel Creed also known as Sabretooth and the reclusive Foreigner. Here his personality meshed and for a brief time he was home in one of the most successful assasination rackets known to the free world.

After a botched asasination on Magneto and needing a place to run Wade found himself in the crossroads and handily accepted the jobs that no one else would from the Timebroker.

Powers and Abilities:
Regenerative healing factor, From even a few blood spatters Deadpool can come back to life.
Superhuman strength, speed, endurance and agility,
Expert marksman and swordsman,
Highly Trained Covert Op able to retune his voice and change appearance in a matter of seconds,
Psychic immunity,
Master martial artist and tactician,
Instantaneous reflexes.

Style: Wade is a dark humourist with a bleak outlook. After meeting Death so many times the prospect of living is hard and he throws himself into work with military efficiency. An Obsessive/Compulsive Wade keeps everything just so, from details of a mission to members of a squad to only putting 16 bullets in each of his 17 round clips. About the only time Wade seems Cheerful is when he's fighting or killing, and even then it's only enough to make him seem laid back, most fights not really challenging him.

Weapons: Wade usually carries a selection into battle with him but is rarely found without at least 4 Long Knives and Bowie, A Broad sword, 2 Custom made Ingrams (Or the redevelopment and higher made model), 2 AR-24's that each hold 16 bullets in a clip rather than 17. He says it is easier to count. An assortment of 8 grenades usually smoke fragmentation, and high explosive and a few cubes of plastique, with Detonation caps.

He is also partial to the use of the Mc-Millan TAC-50 and polishes his own in his spare time. It's named Theresa.

He was recruited when it was revealed to him by the Timebrokers that Magento would destroy the entire world if he remained.

working on it now...just doing some research (with the helpful input of CT)

Corsair
Name: Major Christopher Summers
Known Surviving Family: Scott Summers (Cyclops), Alexander Summers (Havok) Affiliations: Former US Air Force Pilot, Former captain of the Starjammers Age: 35 (age altered for my amusement, you’ll see why)
Height: 6 ft. 3in.
Weight: 175 lbs.
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Brown
Strength Level: Corsair possesses the normal human strength of a man of his age, height, and build who engages in intensive regular exercise.
Known Superhuman Powers: None
Abilities: Before being taken to the Shi’ar Galaxy, Major Christopher Summers was already a superb pilot, and thanks to his military training, skilled at the use of various weapons and at hand-to-hand combat. As Corsair, he has made himself into a brilliant starship pilot. He has also greatly improved his skills at hand-to-hand combat, and has mastered the use of various Shi’ar weapons. Corsair has also become a highly accomplished swordsman.
History: (note, this is an alternate version of Corsair, from a timestream where he and his family was kidnapped ten years earlier, and Scott and Alex both end up being Shi’ar soldiers. Aside from that, it happened exactly as in the normal continuity for him.) Christopher Summers was a test pilot for the US Air Force. Ten years ago, he was flying his family home from Alaska where they were on vacation, when they were attacked by an alien spacecraft. The Aliens, called Shiar, were sent to acquire a human specimen. The Shi’ar, aboard the craft, pursued Summers’ plane to prevent his making their presence on Earth known. The Shi’ar craft fired on Summers’ plane, a rebuilt DeHaviland Mosquito, made of wood, causing it to burst into flame. They were kidnapped, and taken back to the Shi’ar Empire. Christopher was separated from his family and imprisoned. He broke free and discovered the corrupt Shi’ar emperor D’ken attempting to rape Katherine Anne. D’ken responded to this interruption by murdering Katherine Anne before Summers’ eyes, and then ordering Summers sent to the slave pits, where criminals and political prisoners were held.
While working in the mining camp, Christopher witnessed the guards mercilessly beating a feline-like female. He stepped in, trying to get them to stop, but was then beaten himself. The woman was taken to the holding cells and Christopher huddled up in a corner, ashamed of himself. A little while later, Raza and Ch'od passed by and asked Christopher for the whereabouts of their comrade Hepzibah. Unfortunately, Chris was too afraid to answer. After they had left, Chris felt guilty and went to the guards' quarters, starting a fight after killing one of them. Surrounded on all sides, Christopher's cause seemed hopeless when Raza and Ch'od jumped in. After getting past the guards, they freed the cat-woman and snuck on board a Shi'ar starship. Christopher used his pilot call-sign, Corsair. Naming Christopher their Captain, they became the Starjammers, a group of space pirates rebelling against D'Ken's leadership.
(major change in the history)
Corsair and Hepzibah became lovers, and he led the Starjammers up to the day Hepzibah was killed in battle. He asked his crew to return him to Earth, and they reluctantly agreed. They set him down on his homeworld, but after they left, he realized something was different. He didn’t know it yet, but on their way to Earth, the Starjammers had taken the ship through a sort of wormhole which led them into an alternate version of their universe, one in which Corsair was dead, and his sons were not agents of the Shi’ar. Additionally, an additional ten years had passed in this universe, leaving his sons close to his age.

After finding himself in this alternate world, he was coerced into joinin the Exiles by a force that claimed to be able to remove him from the time stream before the kidnapping of his family by the Shi'ar. (ct asked me to add that)

okay, here's what i've got so far...any recommended changes?

Jumping from world to world, putting right what once went wrong, what's not to like? Alternate universes can be a lot of fun, after all. Here's my proposed character, please let me know if it's acceptable or needs altered. I do have other ideas, so if this one is entirely unappealing, just let me know.

Cypher

Name: Douglas "Doug" Ramsey
Height: Variable, 5'10" in human form.
Weight: Variable, 170lbs. in human form
Eyes: Variable, normally blue shot through with gold wiring
Hair: Variable, normally blond
Appearance: Cypher is a slender young man in his early 20's, with straight short cut blond hair and rather plain facial features. His originally Caucasoid skin is now a pale yellow, shot through with patterns that resemble circuits. He wears a costume similar to the one he wore as a New Mutant, expect in blue and yellow rather than black.

History: Cypher is from Earth-1360, an Earth which followed the normal path of history until a few years ago. While rescuing Elizabeth "Psylocke" Braddock from Mojo, Cypher and the techno-organic (T-O) alien Warlock underwent a "soulmerge" that fused them into one being made of Warlock's substance, with Doug's personality and intellect, and both their powers. The two were able to liberate Psylocke, but Doug was infected with the transmode virus that Warlock carried. The infection lay dormant for months, until the New Mutants found themselves in battle with agents of anit-mutant group The Right, led by a mad scientist called the Ani-Mator. At the climax of the fight, the insane geneticist pulled a gun on Rahne Sinclair (Wolfsbane). Doug shoved her out of the way, taking the bullet meant for her. The lethal shock to his system kicked the virus into activation. In agony and confused as his body transformed into T-O material, Doug lashed out at the Ani-Mator, accidentally killing him, his soldiers, and many of the twisted genuis's helpless creations.

Though he had survived near-death, his friends were horrified at the carnage he had unleashed during his transformation. They became increasingly aloof from him, leaving him behind when they fled the school and Magneto. Hurt by their abandonment, guilt-stricken, and mourning the apparent loss of Betsy Braddock, Doug was approached by Emma Frost to join the Hellions. As a Hellion, he clashed with his former friends and the X-Men on several occasions, often reining in his more brutal teammates and acting as a conscience to the young super villain team. Upon hearing of Warlock's death, Doug traveled to reunite with his former teammates, becoming part of the newly formed X-Force team.

He was still with X-Force when the Phalanx attacked Earth is a sudden blitzkrieg attack. It was revealed that most of Earth's heroes (notably the X-Men, Avengers, and Fantastic Four) had already been captured by the Phalanx and dopplegangers put into their place. Without those groups to oppose them, The Phalanx was able to kill millions and absorb even more into their collective. The remaining heroes struck in two directions, one group heading to keep the Phalanx from making contact with the alien race that spawned them, the other to try and rescue those heroes the T-O menace had already taken. Doug was with the team that went to knock out the Phalanx's attempt to summon more of their kind via the Babel Spire, a machine that warped time and space to allow for direct communication. After a costly fight, Doug threw himself into the transmission beam of the device. In contact with every Phalanx unit on the planet, he hacked them to commit suicide after destroying their devices. Unfortunately, Doug was still within the spire when it was destroyed, but rather than perish, the disruption of space/time ended up throwing him out of his universe. Floating in the void between universes, the Timebroker came to him with an offer...

Powers and Abilites:

Superhuman strength, toughness, stamina, and senses.

Techno-Organic Shape Shifting: Cypher's body is made of T-O material powered by the life energy he has absorbed. He can shape shift his body into almost any form imaginable as well as increase and decrease his mass, construct weapons, sensors, engines, and other complex machines from his own body. He can use this shifting to increase his strength and durability by adding muscle mass or armor. Cypher can exist in a solid state or a semi-solid state in which he can stretch and flex to an incredible degree without losing any strength. These powers are limited by the amount of energy Cypher has absorbed through use of the transmode virus, and using them drains energy from him. He can mimic people but not under close inspection, as all of his forms are shot through with circuits and wires.

Transmode Virus: Cypher can infect any organic material with the same virus that transformed him. If left unchecked, the virus will eventually change the material into T-O the way he was. However, Cypher can change the virus's effect to transform organic material into a fragile crystal that he can then drain of life, absorbing that energy into himself. This is his means of sustenance, as well as the power source for his T-O abilites. Using the virus this way on a living being will kill it.

Omni-Linguistics: Cypher's mutant power is the ability to intuitively understand and translate any form of communication, be it written, spoken or non-verbal, and regardless of whether the origin of the language was human, computer or even completely alien. This power is not related to his intellect, but allows him to make leaps of comprehension that he could probably not explain to anyone else, but which were invariably accurate. He is able to translate the language of a long dead species or decode complex ciphers, without any common terms of reference, within a matter of hours.

i completely forgot about a weapon x profile...i'll look tomorrow and see what i can come up with

He he he Put up as profile fer me ta pick over, an please please understand I want your individual take on the characterplease ArchAngel has a bit of non this thread history with the Exiles at least. And do you want to put him in The Exiles or Weapon X? I AA male or female? Does he have any other powers besides the wings? Put all of that in your profile. If you make me giggle and I like the take you're in.

To let you know folks C_T and I sat around at one point posting a Deadpool/Captain America bantering fight:D. These threads are about the action but some of it is the inter character interactions. Hell to me the interpersonal stuff is more impotant than the combat stuff. But that's really what got C-T on the list.

Would Jubilee be acceptable?

Let's see a Bio so I can see your take on Jubilee.

And folks, I know my Captain America character is out there from the norm but this is the sort of thing I'm looking for in this thread. I am probably going to see about ten Wolverine profile that will never see play. Probably a few of Sabretooth.

But don't assume an out of the way "What If" characters will get past me. I'm wanting a personal choice for the character that comes purely from you. Point it out to me the way C_T did with Deadpool In his mentioning that Wade wasn't horriblly disfurgured when he got his powers. That sort of thing. Hell I MIGHT allow the Hulk if the story was right and made me giggle.

Mmm. Jubilee. Nothing like chinese mall rat in the morning.

No seriously I do like the bitchy little princess that she is and I think she could make a great character, she's really underrated and I'd really like to see her.

Hell I MIGHT allow the Hulk if the story was right and made me giggle.

so is there any problem with my Corsair?

A quick bump up the threads to let the late night crowd know we are still recruiting for the thread. Weapon X still needs one or two more members and the Exiles need 3 or four as well.

So post up this is your chance to make the X man or women of your dreams. Always wanted to see Cyclops as the threat he should have been, make him so, Wanted to see St. John "Pyro" Allerdyce as a drag queen? here's the chance. Or Colossus the hero of the opressed people.
Take your pick and write your world. Then save or destroy countless others.

Ability to project pyrotechnic energy plasmoids,
Concussive blasts,
Ability to evade the detection of telepaths,
Ability to explosively charge objects
Gymnastic abilities

Jubilee was sent to an orphanage, but she ran away and hid in a Hollywood shopping mall, stealing food to survive. She first discovered her mutant power to generate blinding and explosive energy "fireworks" while running away from mall security. The stress of running away from the security guards caused Jubilee to emit a large light energy blast while in a back alley. This completely disoriented the men and allowed the frightened young girl to escape. Upon learning about her mutant ability to create fireworks, she realized she could earn money by using her powers to entertain customers in the mall.

Frustrated with the young girl's rebellious nature and powerful light-shows, the mall security hired mutant hunters known as the M-Squad to capture her. Jubilee held her own by blasting the M-Squad's energy tractor beams, but she was eventually caught by them. She was rescued by X-Men members Dazzler, Psylocke, Rogue, and Storm, who happened to be shopping at the mall. Curious, she tracked them for a while and later followed them into a portal.

She found herself in the X-Men's temporary base, deep in the Australian outback. She stayed in hiding until the X-Men had abandoned the base, and their enemies the Reavers had captured Wolverine. While living in the underground base, the mutant known as Gateway, who created the portal to the Hollywood mall, was the only being aware of Jubilee's existence. During her stay in the base she stole food and borrowed clothes from several of the X-Men to create a makeshift costume for herself. She was also attacked by a cybernetic dog, and was forced to use her powers in self defense by blowing up the beast. This was the first time Jubilee knew her powers could do real damage, although a later retcon had her first manifestation causing destruction on a similar scale.

While sneaking around the caverns in the outback base, Jubilee was startled to find Wolverine hung up on a cross and near death. Jubilation helped Wolverine get down from the cross, and nurtured him back to health. Afterward, she teamed with Wolverine on several of his missions throughout the world. During this time she held her own against the Hand and blew up a section of the Mandarin's castle with her powers when she, Wolverine, and Psylocke were the supervillain's prisoners.

Jubilee and Wolverine grew a close father-daughter relationship with one another. Jubilee needed the guidance of a parent, while Wolverine needed the peace and joy of a child. Due to this relationship, Jubilee is referred to as Wolverine's unofficial sidekick. The duo teamed up to take down Sentinels, fight Omega Red, Sabretooth, Sauron, and even seek revenge on Reno and Molokai for the murder of her parents.

Wolverine brought Jubilee to Professor Xavier, who welcomed the girl with open arms. Jubilee found a home with the X-Men, and even joined the X-Men Blue Team. She aided her fellow mutants in battles against Mondo, The Shi'Ar Empire, and the Brood, among others. She grew close bonds with many of the team members, including Beast, Professor Xavier (whom she took rollerblading when he briefly had the use of his legs) and Illyana Rasputin. Jubilee mourned the loss of Illyana with the rest of the X-Men, especially Jean Grey.

Feeling that she needed a rest from the stresses at the mansion, Jubilee volunteered to join a new group of teenage mutants known as Generation X. The team was led by both Banshee and Emma Frost, and was comprised mainly of Jubilee, Husk, Synch, M, Chamber, Skin, and Penance.

Both Banshee and Emma Frost educated the teenagers in school subjects as well as combat and field skills. Jubilee and the other mutant teens honed their unique abilities and occasionally battled minions such as the Juggernaut, Omega Red, and their arch-rival Emplate. Time after time, Jubilee used her experience with the X-Men to help her teammates outsmart their enemies. On more than one occasion, Jubilee was solely responsible for the defeat of Emplate. She used her sarcasm when Emplate siphoned her powers so that he would become enraged enough to not have control over them, causing him to blast himself with Jubilee's energy blasts. During the team's last encounter with Emplate, Jubilee blew up Proudstar Hall in order to defeat him. Her teammates survived the massive explosion, because Iceman covered them with an ice shield.

During her stay in the Massachusetts's Academy, Jubilee was kidnapped and held hostage by Bastion during Operation: Zero Tolerance. She managed to resist his mental probes for a good amount of time, hiding valuable information on the X-Men. Jubilee staged an escape early on after being kidnapped, literally knocking several armed soldiers unconscious with a large plasma volley. She eventually escaped with the help of Bastion's assistant Daria.

Unlike the known Jubilee of Marvel, this young lady has no qualms with killing people. Especially after being captured by Bastion. I think I'll leave the rest as a surprise.
