Lost Island OOC (Open)

I’m a big fan of the show Lost and have always wondered what it would be like to be stranded on an island so I decided to find out. This RP is about some folk trapped on an island after their luxury liner crashes. From there they have to survive with little more than their wits. Only a few suitcases have washed up on shore, most other items are floating in the ocean nearby. People have to survive the island and each other while finding time for some intimate relationships in between.

The Island:

Large and with a unique mix of palm tree and pine forests. There is a mountain in the center but for the most part it’s beach open field and forest.

For the survival skills below put down any skills your character might have that would help the group survive. Also make mention if your character would be a good leader the group will need someone.

Name: Evangeline Chamberlain

Appearance: Lean and fit, blonde hair, blue eyes. 5’9”, 110lbs.

Personality: Cheery, fun-loving and friendly. She loves to meet new people. Far from smart she’s passed through life on her tennis skill and her drop dead gorgeousness. Impressionable and easily manipulated by those smarter than her.

Occupation: Tennis Player

Survival Skills: Can make a fire, no other skills.

Marital Status: Single (Unless someone wants to play my husband or wife. PM me if you do and we can work something out.

age: early 20's

description: muscular, hard and tough, he is what some would call white trash. He is blue collar, and has worked for everything he has. He has dark hair and blue eyes.
6'0" 180 lbs

personality: somewhat sarcastic, a bit rough around the edges, tries to be respectful to the ladies, but things usually don't go the way he wishes

survival skills: he can hunt fish, make a fire, set traps, skin and clean an animal, train animals, and do some basic farming. (he grew up in a farming town in the back woods)


He is deffinately not a leader type, he was merely on the ship, to do some of the heavy lifting, the crew needed an extra hand, and he knew the captain, so got himself a job.

Don't need to know lost, the books you've read will be enough. Just people stranded on an island, actually it's good that you haven't seen lost cuz it has supernatural stuff happen. I'm not making this supernatural so much as a lord of the flies sorta deal. Nice app. As soon as we get a couple more people I'll make an IC thread and set the stage. Thanks for joining.

Lani stands at a rather unimposing 5'5", and has side parted long brown hair that just about grazes her shoulders. She's fit and relatively toned although a few months of not working out has started to take its tole on her form. Her eyes are large, ever so slightly japanese in heritage and a hugely expressive sky blue.

Personality:
While the fun loving, partying type, she has grown up in the lap of luxury, thus being able to buy a ride on the liner without much trouble, and has a big rich girl complex. She can get pretty hysterical sometimes, but altogether kind others. Although, she has a tendacy to find it fun imposing on others relationships, messing around with them for fun, etc. naturally its going to be a big trouble for her to adjust to the island. She would also think of herself as a Leader but in reality has none of the qualities of one, being far to selfish and such, for her own good.

Occupation:
Does rich girl count
never worked a day in her life, hasn't had any need to.

Survival Skills:
beyond her manipulative ways, none.

Marital Status:
Single, and bi

Hey y'all let's not get hasty about starting a new thread. Hasn't been so long since I last checked in. If you're all ready to start I am. Tris has a tumbled mass of deep red curls that fall down just past her shoulders, and deep green eyes that seem to sparkle with a hidden humor behind her glasses.

While making a solemn and perhaps shy first impression on people, Tris’s quiet appearance hides an individual with a quick wit, a penchant for sarcasm, and a cynical sense of humor. Tris is clever, creative and resourceful- a definate whizz in the kitchen. While she is defiantly a daydreamer, and can sometimes not notice things right in front of her face cause she is inside her own head.

Cooking (she can whip up anything out of practically nothing), camping, fishing, good sense of direction- basic girl guilds stuff.

Survival Skills:
Spent her grad year and placement doing research into the cultural aspects of some tribes native to South America
-so while in theory she has seen a lot of how people survive, the practical tests have yet to come.
However, she can fish, cook, and do some rather basic woodcraft from her experience while studying.

Structural Engineer (listed this first so I could embellish in personality)


Personality:
Quiet and reserved often deep in thought, he is often shy around unfamiliar people and often hangs around in the background doing his own thing. He has a very dry sence of humor and often makes bad/in poor taste jokes at awkward moments. He is always willing to lend help and advice to those that assume leadership positions. While he tends to not want to be in charge, he takes initiative without orders and often can convince others to help with things that need done.

At work, with 5 years experience he has become a workaholic at his company, designing anywhere from complex and efficient buildings to simplifying everyday building systems. Mainly working in the office, he spent most of his nights and weekends as a weekend warrior acquiring basic building skills


Survival Skills:
Spent most vacations of his childhood and into college camping, and hiking. Learning the basics of the surviving in the woods. With a great sence of direction he rarely would get lost even without a map.


Marital Status: Single. He was on the crusie to spend a month off after completing a large project that gave his company a large bonus. After recieveing a substansial portion of that bonus his boss told him to take some time off because he deserved it.

Decisive and persuasive, but will do whatever it takes to get things her way, if necessary. Her deep beauty gives off a mysterious air about her, which she tries to disarm by giving a facade of optimisim and happiness.

Occupation: Porn Actress / Waitress

Survival Skills: Father taught her to fish before he passed away when she was five

Marital Status: Single, but has an 18-year-old son who was also onboard the liner.

By the way no need to wait for acceptance just post your app and start and no you didn't mess anything up my post would have been identical.

What would anyone think of having a couple NPCs that anyone can use to get this moving.
