On candystripe legs the spiderman comes

Was listening to this track and had an idea for a role play. I’m looking to start some sort of thread about an otherworldly creature that lives under the beds of young women and only comes out at night to molest them (you know, the usual). Think about the stories you used to get told as a kid about the bogey man etc and you get the idea. Course he’s not interested in scaring the life out of kids, he’s only interested in sucking the essence from young women (I’m thinking 18-22 years old).
I’ll be playing the “bogey man”, I’m picturing him as a spooky kinda character, with maybe unearthly features involved (just a possibility, to use a clichéd example you can think a slimy elongated tongue, or tentacles or something hideous like that). If that's not your thing then at the very least he'll look like one scarey mofo. I’m thinking he’s a sort of psychic vampire that doesn’t feed on blood, but feeds on the emotions of his victims. Stronger emotions like fear, hate and lust lend him more strength. And in the morning he is gone, leaving his victims emotionally drained but otherwise unharmed. He only slips into the physical realm to feed before slinking away into the shadows, back under the bed where he shifts out of our realm.
I honestly don’t know how much mileage this sort of thread would have, but I just thought I’d air the idea and see if anyone was interested in playing. I’m looking for a female lead to play the poor young woman our candyman comes looking for. I’m thinking modern day setting, cynical family who don’t believe her when she tells them about this candyman type character.(he leaves no physical traces on her body for proof etc).
It’s only a loose idea at the moment, so I don’t necessarily expect to start the IC thread straight away if I get any interest. I’d be happy to discuss any ideas others have about the premise and see if we can come up with something enjoyable to play together. If you’re interested just PM me or post here.
Again, looking for LITERATE writers who enjoy writing detailed posts with reasonably correct grammar and punctuation etc.
