My current threads seem to have dried up, so I will attempt to start a new one.
I am intending this to be an open thread, but if you do post please be committed to the thread.
Initially I will be looking for a minimum of three band members, maybe up to six, though that seems ambitious.
Additionally I imagine there to be other roles as staff supporting the band, fans etc.
Feel free to post a bio to join, including any chosen background / clothing / musical talent etc.
I hope the thread will work, feel free to PM me regarding anything going on in it.

Noticing a gap in the market, Wehstar Productions have directed Gary Hayles to bring together and release to the world a new girl-band to take the pop market by storm. The key to success in pop these days is all around image and advertising. Therefore the women brought together must be suitable to this end. They must work hard, do what it takes to succeed, and be driven with the ambition of the realisation of a life of fame and fortune. To suit the needs of the correct marketing appeal, each girl in the band must have a uniquely strong persona, sex appeal, dancing and vocal abilities.

Gary has held a uniquely worldwide search to find the perfect blend of rising stars for the band. Each being selected individually, the girls have not met each other until now. Having been selected, and signed their initial low value contract with the promise of a likely rapid rise to fame and fortune, they have been given their outfits and sent in to meet each other in Gary's office. He now addresses them for the first time.

"Now then, ladies. Please settle down. I understand that you are all excited to meet each other for the first time. Now as we have discussed individually before, I believe that each of you has it within yourselves to be a star, and the hard work begins now. We must mould you into a synchronised team. We have decided to call your group The Sizzling Sensations. Now starting from my left why don't you all stand up in turn and introduce yourselves.”

"Well I guess i will start. I'm Candy MacIntosh, and I guess I'm the lead singer. I've been singing all my life, and look forward to being in this band with all you." She smiled at the others and sat down in her denim mini and leather jacket.

Candy has experience in singing since she was 5 years old, and loves it. She came to the group through her ex who is one of the lead singers for the main band for the company, and she was spotted at a recording session singing along with their music in the recording booth.

"I suppose I could give it a whirl..." Came the creamy smooth voice. "Names Lolita Jones. Most just call me Lolipop..." she smirked slightly showing the reason behind the nickname as she began sucking on a watermelon flavored blowpop. "Lead guitar and second vocalist are my jobs...though I've been plucking at strings for as long as I can remember." Her smooth voice was rich and sultry as she took seat, a simple cowboy hat, plenty of jewels adorned her neck, wrists and fingers as she took her seat. A cowgirl in the making but with a flair of punk as her black and pink whisps of hair feel in front of her left eye.

Lolita's been playing the guitar since she first set eyes on one. From a young age her parents have supported her love of music and have given her every edge she can. Music schools abound, she got spotted after local concert at her mall, and the rest was history. Her killer solos are to die for and she can keep up with the best of them.

IC: Dante was thirlled when Gary Hayles contacted him through Whstar. he had been hoping to work with the guy for a while now, and this new band sounded like an explosion waiting to happen. Dante had established a pretty good career as an underground hip hop DJ, having won the DMC challenge two years running. He was better known in the business for his producing though, as each record he'd been involved in had gone at least gold. So Gary contacted him about attaching himself to the band, as producer for the album and turntablist on the songs that had a bit more of an "urban" edge to them as he said. Dante sighed, he knew it sold and would pay his bills, but sometimes he hated how commercialized the whole scene had become.

Lolita tipped her hat to Candy upon her introduction. She sat in her chair eyeing the other's of their group curiously. Most all could be seen from her black leather cowboy hat was one silver eye watching and observing contently. Her pink and ebony hair covered her left eye completely but she could see just fine. A perfect layer of mascara covered her eyes, making her thick lashes stand out on her mocha face...an African beauty with some Indian mixed in, there was no doubt she would add a little urban flair where needed but she could rock out just the same.

She didn't know much about this Gary person but it was high end time they got things rolling. Money and fame wait for no man nor woman...she thought.

Gary waited and watched the reactions around the room as the band members introduced themselves. All were eyeing each other curiously, trying to weigh each other up. He had picked women with attitude for the band, and hoped that they would all get along. It would be important that they did, having to spend so much time cooked up together, but it was a risk, them all being so feisty and all.

As they made their way around the room, Dante entered the office and took a seat at the edge of the desk.

"Oh and girls, this is Dante. He'll be helping out with the producing once we get our act together. You all have talent, and we must harness this, by providing the best supporting staff possible. That way you will be able to show the whole world what you can do....just so long as you all keep the right attitude and work hard for fame and fortune..."


OOC: Pleased to see people sign up to this so quick. Just still waiting for at least one more female part before we get going properly if that's OK.

Dante raised his hand in greetings. "Hi ladies, I understood there were supposed to be three of you though?" He raised a questioning eyebrown towards Gary. "Ah well maybe someone's just running late. I wanted a chance to introduce myself and tell you how excited I am to be working on this album. I've heard a bit of demo from all of you, and I think it'll sound great once we get it all right and get everything put together. I've worked with a bunch of groups like this before so I just wanted to come down and introduce myself earlier to get a feel for the chemisty between everyone, though I guess we'll have to wait a bit to meet the third." He smiled.

Candy

candy looked at the other three in the room and smiled. "Sounds like this is going to be some group. It will be fun working with you Lolita, I hope we can be friends quickly. Dante, I think you have worked with my exes band before, I look forward to working with you also." She was looking at them with a grin, and thought that this could be one interesting group at least.

Dante had to admit he was pretty impressed with the ladies Gary had found. He knew they would be lookers, most female musicians had to be he noted sadly, but these ladies were in a different category. Dante was finding it hard to focus on what Gary was saying, his eyes being drawn to Candy's exposed thighs just below her mini or Lolita's curvaceous body and mysterious face. Don't get any bad ideas he had to keep reminding himself, this is a big deal and you're not going to blow it.
He shook himself out of dreamland as Candy said his name. "Your exe's band? Oh you mean Plague Masters? Yeah metal is definetly not my style at all, but it's just proof I can make anyone sound good, even a bunch of prima donnas." He chuckled slightly. "Just kidding."

Candy

Candy grinned at that. "Yah I know what you mean Dante, they were a bunch of Prima Donna's weren't they?" She knew that he was kidding, and talking about them, but she would turn it on him as a joke. "Glad to have you with us on this." She winked at him with a wicked smile.

Watching as Candy grinned, winked and smiled, Gary felt more than happy that his chosen lead singer had that little something extra, an edge that would set her aside in the industry. His head told him this, but also his involuntarily twitching cock as the outfit she wore pushed his buttons: he had a 'thing' for leather, and for denim, that he was sure was not unique in this world.

Not thinking properly, he stood up to speak, then upon realising it had been days since his last conquest and a semi was building in his pants, Gary moved around the back of the girls so as not to leave himself in an embarassing position. His attention caught by Lolita's quirky hat as much as anything else, from behind he reached for her shoulders, to give a little friendly massage. Having spent most of his life in Britain, touching somebody like that seemed somehow unnatural, but he was trying his best to get past any cultural divide. Somebody who he didn't entirely trust, but whose advise he thought best to follow said that touch like this puts unfamiliar people at ease.

"The point is that we are all...very good...at what we do. You girls have everything it takes to make it out there, just trust in the people who know the business, who helped others find fame and fortune before...and we're laughing."

As he spoke his words of encouragement and advice, Gary had to fight hard against his inner nature not to allow his hands to slide down Lolita's body as he considered how seductive 'Lolipop' could be, and just how well she could play somebody's strings.

"In a short while we'll be heading down for your first practice session. We have a Limo due shortly to take us there from the office."

Lolita twirled her sucker in her mouth crossing her legs as she took in the guys. They seemed a bit nervous but then this was the first time they'd met so it was natural. She too was nervous, but most who didn't know her would never know that sucking on a blowpop was a nervous habit that put her at ease. The hat she wore seemingly on a constant was to hide secret stares and long gazes in places people would otherwise find uncomfortable for a girl to be looking. Lolita didn't care.

She had a sixth sense about people, getting to know them by observing, stalking and pouncing when they least expected it. Besides she didn't need to be in the lime light so much as Candy did. The lead singer had to have a presence a voice. Lolita was only second vocalist but being a guitarist often meant mysteria, intrigue... and when you put it in a full lengthy catsuit of shorts with a wide open back strung up with lace well it interested people.

She shivered slightly at the touch on her shoulder and looked over hers at Gary. Charming gent, he seemed to be something comforting about that. Dante was down to earth, an easy guy to get along with. Also comforting...

Another rub down of Gary's hand along her exposed back made her shiver again, she continued to work at her sucker, the excited tension just wouldn't let up. "Any idea when our third wheel rolls through?" Loli asked she twirled her sucker in time with her question as she directed it to Gary who was standing behind her. That one visible eye winked at him as she waited for an answer.

ooc: going to be at work now just thought I'd catch up.

"In a short while we'll be heading down for your first practice session. We have a Limo due shortly to take us there from the office."

"Speaking of which I should probably head over there now and make sure everything's ready. I'll meet you three, and hopefully the other member of the band, over there in about half and hour." He smiled as he stood up, adjusting the Afro-pick in his hair before turning and striding out of the door. It felt good to be working again.

Loli sighed inwardly god she wanted to get at her guitar and strum a few lines or something. Where was the last chic anyway? With a tender growl, though hardly audible she stood to her feet to stretch. "This ought to be fun. Cant' wait to get things going..." her rich voice carried across the room as she eyed both Gary and Candy.

Candy

Candy smiled and stood stretching herself, straitening out her skirt out. "Shall we head down to the limo then. Now that's the way to travel, in style, the only way for us, right Lolita?" She smiled at the other girl, wondering what was going to happen when they got to the studio.

Gary

Noticing the girls' eagerness both to get to work and to sample the new lifestyle going he knew it was time to make tracks.Unsure exactly what was going on with the late arrivals, Gary decided that it was probably best for someone from the office to arrange for them later.

"OK then, into the elevator, down to the ground floor, then into the limo. If there are any paparrazi outside trying to get a first glimpse at you, just smile sweet and get in the vehicle."

Gary took the opportunity to check out the rear end view again as the girls walked out the room.

"Gotcha cheif..." Lolita said chrunching down on the blowplop she winked to Gary tipping her hat and headed for the exit blowing bubbles all the way. She waited for the others to get on the elevator before heading down to the bottom floor.

Just as warned, the Paparrazi were all over them. Lolita wasn't much on the talkative side to begin with and could just about see how most of her live interviews would go. Winks a few licks from her sucker of the day, perhaps a tip of her hat, a chuckle here and there then that's a wrap. She chuckled at the thought which brought a charming smile to her glossy lips as cameras flashed about them. She nodded as per usual keeping her good side at the camera no sense being shot for the first time and looking like a scared rabbit.

Slipping into the limo she looked around whistling charmingly. "Oh yeah... I could get used to this little number." she drawled leaning back she blew another popping it shortly after. Lolita was a country girl at heart, having grew up in the country side when her folks moved into the city she picked up her first guitar and the rest was as they say history. Seeing a limo now was something she never thought she'd have the pleasure, but here it was and she was ever thankful.

Candy

Candy smiled as she swayed her hips for the bossman, and got into the elevator. "So Paparazzi will be out there, we know that, so we just smile and act nice, got it, no problem." She smiled as they got out of the elevator, and waved to the paparazzi and press smiling her bright pearly whites at them and got into the Limo without showing the press anything that they could get good money for the shot of. "Wow this is great, it's better than any that I have ridden in with the other band." She went to the mini bar. "You want anything Lolita? Bottled Water, juice soda beer?"

Dante sighed as he saw all the photographers waiting outside to get their first glimpse at the next wonder from Wehstar Productions. It was funny to him because no one even noticed him as he walked out the front door to his car. He was the weight behind six of Wehstar's biggest bands, but no one knew who he was. Oh well, that was fine with him. Let other people deal with the problems that come with celebrity, Dante was just glad to get his check and be able to put his creative touches on things.

He drove to the studio and introduced himself to everyone. He liked to know everyone, down to the person who had the job of bringing water to the stars. Dante was a people person, and knew that no company could operate without all the cogs in order. After meeting everyone he got the gear together for the two ladies coming, hoping their third would show up soon...

Jill hustled down to the studio, she had called asking to interview here rather then the other place. She had a gig playing at a local pub and had too many requests just to leave. Tips paid her rent and she had been short a bit. Now the money was tuck in the pocket of her tight jeans. She figured if they didn't want her she had plenty of places that liked her hot piano style.

She walked in and asked where Dante was and a good looking guy was pointed out to her. She became all business as she approached him.

"Dante, I'm Jill Rivers, sorry I'm late but my gig ran longer then expected. I play piano in several local pubs, you see"

She held out her hand to him.

Dantes turned when he heard his name, looking to see who was calling him out. He turned and smiled. Must be the third member he thought to himself and had his suspicion confirmed as she introduced herself as Jill Rivers. Gary had told him he had scouted this girl in a local club and that she was something of a piano prodigy, he assumed she could sing as well or Gary wouldn't have bothered, as for dancing, anyone can be taught that, though admittedly Dante was no choreographer. She also satisfied another important quality in the band, she was as gorgeous as the other two.

"Ah Jill, glad you could make it, I'm Dante, as you know, and I'll be producing this record. I got here a bit early, Gary and the other girls are still on their way so he'll be the one you need to talk to once he gets here. Until then can I get you anything? Water? Danish?"

Jill's long blonde hair bounced about as she shook her head no. Her black eyes looked around at the studio. She was a tall girl about 5' 7" weighing in at 125 lbs. Her body was what guys call stacked but all she really cared about was her music.

"How about a piano, you have one of those"

Dante chuckled. "Just want to jump right in then eh? I like that." He clapped her on the back. "Let me show you to where we'll be doing the work, so you can get a feel for your instrument. You play anything besides piano?" He asked as they walked down the hall. "I don't know what's taking Gary and them so long, hopefully they'll be here soon, I'm sure everyone is just dying to meet you." He absently picked at his afro with the pick as they walked to the studio.

Jane Fields

Talking to the guys in our group, one of them told me about a new all girl band called the Sizzling Sensations that was forming. He had heard they had a singer and a keyboard and guitar, but so far no drummer.

I needed a gig, and after getting the directions, went to check it out, but the fellow Gary who was putting it together wasnt available, but a fellow named Dante was, and I heard a very good piano player running her fingers up and down the keys, so guessed I was in the right place.

"Hey I heard you're putting together a group. Need a drummer"?

"Hmmmm I'm not sure. It's not really my call. I'm just a producer here. Gary is the one handling all the casting and what not. I thought he had everyone he needed, but maybe once he gets here you can talk him into it." Dante shrugged. He hadn't heard of this girl so he figured there she probably didn't have much of a chance of impressing Gary, even if she looked the part. There was always the chance though, and she had enough ambition to seek them out so he'd let Gary make the decision. "Anyway if you want to follow me back this way, we're just waiting on Gary and the other two, you can make your case to him."
