Alkahest Academy (OOC)

OOC thread for Alkahest Academy thread. Post Char Bios, game q's 'n' such over here. :)


"Nothing Surpasses the Law of Equivalent Exchange." The small plaque hung outside the gates of the Alkahest academy, reminding all of its students the reason they were there. To try and bypass the Law would lead to dire consequences for those foolish enough to attempt it. These consequences came from the alchemy itself... and the Gate. There was no innocence when it came to that Law. Only strict immediate punishment.

The newest students were arriving at the academy, the plaque waiting as usual, bearing that warning. Within those walls resided the future of their alchemy- to strengthen their skills, to find their natural alchemic element. Some would find out what truly resided in them... A path of virtue... or one of darkness.

Alchemic element: still unknown

Vi's father used to be a state alchemist before becoming a professor at the Academy- until he vanished a year ago. Vi had learned her basic alchemy from him, and has enrolled to carry on her lessons- and use the power she gains to try and track down her father.

Not much is known at all about his past but he comes from a well of area. many fine officers have come down through the De-Ansalla line. But mixed heritage questions wether he is one or not.

Diego is a troublemaker aty heart. He's very well behaved in his classes and studious. His natural intelligence shining through. Keeping him in the top few percentile of the class.

But like every student he has his off times. Diego was accepted because of his amazing work in creating phosphorous. Useful. Especially in a military way. His alchemical skills are somewhat rusty his actual practice is flawless though.

It's thought that he takes some inspiration from Roy Mustang the flame alchemist. However he really credits the bomb alchemist. he has a dangerous attitude out of class, and the other students know better than to tempt him.

He wears the long blue coat of military dress. And has rigged a silver watch. burning it through. It does nothing and has no focus But he does enjoy it being there.

Anyway, I'm debating not a big fan of FMA.
 
I don't know much about the storylines going on in the show or in the mangas, but I like the alchemy...
The Rp doesn't follow the show or manga at all, unless someone wants to base their char's background off it.
 
That's why I'm debating, I like alchemy stories just not that particular one...I'll sleep on this one for tonight.

Orphaned at birth, Amadeus was raised by a musician in Central. It was through this man that Deus learned his two great loves in life, alchemy and the blues. Having little money to give the boy a proper education, the musician sent Deus to the Alkahest Academy to learn the incredible science of alchemy and make his fortune.

Deus has developed a way to alter the properties of sound using alchemy. By clapping his hands together, he forms the initial sound, then by using his alchemy to adjust the air around him, he can freely manipulate the soundwaves.

He dresses in a black vest and very baggy black cargo pants, trimmed with silver. His hair is long and usually hangs over his eyes. He is never seen without his silver harmonica adorned with several small transmutation circles, which he sometimes employs in his alchemy.

Bio: Pepper comes from a wealthy family who's women folk are often treated no more than dogs. Made to serve and take orders without a word of protest didn't seem like the life that Pepper wanted. Divorcing her family ties she set out to find her own place in life. As fate would have it, she would learn of latent alchemic abilities but literally unable to decipher what they are. As a result her mentor at the time gave her instructions to attend the Alkehest school to unlock these mysterious and perhaps hone her skill more carefully.

Weight: 160 pounds
Description: black hair, red eyes, always wears black with white gloves

Bio: Feros is sometimes referred to as the Flamemaster. He has a great deal of natural skill with fire in Alchemy. Like some others, he doesn't need a transmutation circle, as it's inscribed on his genetic material. He came to the academy to study other forms of alchemy.

Description: White Hair, Gray eyes, ruddy skin tone
Powers: Has an Alchemic circle over heart, giving Sado the ability to shift the shape of his body on command in any fashion. This includes the ability to change sex if the situation requires it. In academy to train to be a spy.

Bio: Sado is a man (usually;)) who is fairly reserved but apends lots of time around other poeple

If anyone out there might be interested in taking on our Dark Alchemist, send me a pm with what you'd see as a char bio for him.

To give him an extra foot in the academy, I'm bringing someone else in...

Appearance: See pic. She has a transmutation circle tattooed in red on her back.

Claudia has been at the academy for only a few months, but has not made many friends... She has a deep interest in the music department, and can be found in the library for hours on end. A rumor had been circulating that she has ties to the Dark Alchemist, and that the circle seen on her back was created with ink made from his blood. Because of these rumors, she is seen a bit as an outcast from the rest of the students.

Well she's certainly yummy looking. I could see her taking a few over to the dark side with her.

And I left such a short post to close Diego down for a bit and let the others if we were to have Dark peoples play.

But New Day I'm game for that. Though I'd like to give someone else a chance to interact with you. It's highly unlikely that Viv and Diego have ANY classes together.
 
Yeah! Revive this one. We'll give it a fresh start, maybe retool our characters if need be and hells yea.
 
Alrighty. That was more interested people than when I first made the thread.

If you're new, pop up a profile... Use the old ones from myself, CT and Fenix as examples if you need it. If you're old, let me know if you want to keep the same char or swap it for someone new.
Once I get a few profiles, I'll start up Alkahest Year 2.


I'm keeping Vi and Claudia.


If someone wants to be Dark Alchemist, feel free.
Just PM me what you plan of him first.
