Greetings, faithful authors and readers!
From Chyoo 1 to Chyoo 2, through the Time Of No Approvals, to the Time Of Author Moderators, I've finally reached 400 threads approved.
Though it feels a little funny calling them threads... they're really more like pages.
My first thread is Let Kelly down easy and investigate the apartment in JonGrey's Apartment 3G.
My 400th approved thread (401st overall) is Jane Stockman in Imhotep's Weekend In An All Girls Dorm.
My 1 long-pending thread is Go for quick yardage with a pass in 4th Quarter of the Superbowl.
My stories are, in order of creation:
Office Morale (20 threads by me). A corporate branch office is surprisingly productive, so the home office sends a junior exec who discovers the secret -- morning and evening sex breaks. Safe sex, of course. Or else!
In From The Snow (18 threads by me). A married couple (black man and white woman) rescue stranded automobile travelers on a snowy mountain pass. Things tend to happen ofter they get warmed back up.
Get Me To The Church On Time (23 threads by me) A comic romp around the misadventures with a marriage across class boundaries. (The bisexual men and incest themes in some threads may not be to everyone's taste).
When The Cat's Away (118 threads by me) Idle college students Gary and Lil are left at home during summer break while their parents are away on a cruise. Gary struggles to be faithful to his girlfriend, while Lil has finally said good riddance to her bad boyfriend. (The bisexual men and incest themes in some threads may not be to everyone's taste).
(No new stories during the Time of No Approvals)
Port Call (11 threads by me) -- Sailors of the age of wooden ships go for a port call. Check it out.
That gives 190 threads to my own 5 stories, and 210 to 38 others. Total threads for my 5 stories add up to 348, so I've received 158 for the 210 I've given. These ratios are actually more even than I expected.
Give threads to others : Receive threads from others is about 4:3.
Threads for self : Threads for others is about 1:1.
As an author, I consider myself good on sensual detail, decent on scenes, passable on characters (and maybe they talk too much), and weak on plot, particularly across multiple threads.
Three cheers for the readers and writers of Chyoo!
