I'm a sucker for a man in uniform, I'll admit it. I'd love to have a military man to chat/cam with, preferably between the ages of 35 and 45 (give or take a couple of years). I'm honestly just looking for a sweet, intelligent, witty, not-ugly guy friend right now, though I'm open to what could happen down the road. ;)

I guess I should tell y'all about myself. I live in the SE United States (read: Southern Belle). I'm happily married, but I love to play online. I have wavy brown hair and brown eyes on a fairly short, curvy body. If intelligent, confident women don't scare you, then we will definitely get along great.

Update (18 March 2007) - I've begun to notice a sweet gentleman (former Navy) named DiamondJim (AKA "Jimmy" when I'm posting or writing about him) who was there all along, since before Dusky and I even met in person, just waiting for me to take my eyes off of Dusky long enough to notice him standing there smiling at me. I finally did, and except for being a bit outside the age range, he's exactly what I was looking for when I started this thread. Soft kiss...

Update (23 April 2007) - DiamondJim and I have seen each other a couple of times in the six weeks we've been together. In one weekend of talking and sharing, we agreed that the past needs to stay firmly in the past, and we pretty spontaneously made a lifelong commitment to each other. It took us a long time to find each other, and this is it for both of us.

Update (12 June 2007) - We're averaging once a month with seeing each other. We've dealt with flails and put out fires, which made US stronger as a couple. After one particularly bad flail, he told me to watch "The Goodbye Girl." It's an excellent movie, and I finally get it. It doesn't matter how men may've treated me before, he's here and he's different, and he'll treat me with only the utmost love, respect and patience. Someone PMed me tonight that DJ is the "luckiest man on the earth." It was a sweet thought, but I have to say that I'm the luckiest one - Lady, that is.

Update (19 July 2007) - It's a forever thing. We solidified our relationship further while we spent a few days in DC together. What more is there to say? When you find a LOVE that's so perfect, so beautiful, so right, so OUTFUCKINGSTANDING, there's no need for anything else. We had agape before we fell in love; now it's that agape which underscores our romantic love for each other. I Cor. 13 says, "Agape never fails," and of faith, hope and love (agape), love is the greatest of these. Thanks to Jimmy, I now also have a renewed faith in myself, him and US, as well as hope in the beautiful future we'll create together for ourselves.

You're fairly young for being "former" already. I know there's a story there. Care to share it? Feel free to PM me if you want.

I guess...

Delighted to meet you, Tex. I'm glad to know I'm not the only Southerner in the country who was born and raised in the South. Our area's got such an influx of Northerners now! There's not much sexier than a handsome man with that hot Southern drawl.

Looking for a few good men - or at least one :)

I'm a United States Marine. :)

Tyler... First of all, thank you. I don't take for granted the sacrifices you're having to make to serve so far from home. I've encountered a few guys over in the ME, all but one of whom has come home (one's still deployed). I'll do whatever I can to keep your, um, morale raised. ;)

Huney, their ain't nuthin' sexier than listening to a southern woman talk. I was in Amsterdam in a bar and damn near had an orgasm when I heard this Lady from Mississippi start talking behind me. She was just talking and it was hot . . . . we ended up going to dinner and man that made miss home . . .

I'll have to let you hear my voice sometime. I don't know what it is, but today, my accent's been much deeper than usual!

Hey Diamond Girl

I'm a US Marine as well. I just got back from Iraq a few weeks ago after being injured. Would love to chat some time. Pm me and tell me about yourself.

30yr old coasty did search and rescue and environmental cleanup. wouldn't even be here except someone from the military needs to represent the branch of the military that actually performs a service for our country.

Welcome to my thread, darling! Coast Guard is absolutely no less honorable than any of the other branches. I know y'all don't get much media play, but what you do is incredibly admirable. Are you still in the CG? Would love to talk to you more!
