Attention/Board Whore Mode
These are the posters that post purely for attention. These cats have in most instances have nothing positive to contribute to the board. They post just to get a reply. More times than not, these cats will make an attempt (successful or not) to keep their thread(s) going for several pages with no foreseeable point….just so their username is at or near the top of the page. Many of these cats are loners and their outside activities are scarce at best. The board/computer/internet serves as their only outlet/entertainment/network/association in their daily lives. These are the cats that no matter when you log on you see their name at the bottom of the board. Their daily routine consists of something like this…*wake up, get something to eat, turn on the computer, eat lunch in front of the computer, eat dinner in front of the computer, turn off computer, get 2 hours of sleep, repeat routine.*
Comedy Mode
These are the posters that bring the majority of the laughs to the board. These cats are always cracking on someone about something no matter the situation. Cats like this can take an otherwise serious topic and make a joke out of it and literally have the reader grabbing at his/her side. These cats make/post in the threads where members just sit back and read each response anxiously awaiting a laugh or two. These were the cats in school that were the classroom clowns. The cats that always got sent to the office for disturbing the class.
Co-Signer Mode
These are the posters you see in every other thread posting ish like “exactly” and “word”. These posters seem to never have anything of their own to say. Cats like this tend to post just for the sake of the “post count” or just to take a similar stance with the majority. Many times, these cats are afraid to voice an opinion of their own…feeling that if it clashes with the masses, he/she will fell like an outcast...and not be part of the "board clique" as it were. Whichever way the ship is sailing, these cats will often times climb aboard whether its headed towards an iceberg or not.
Beefer/Instigator Mode
These are the posters that post for the sake of nothing but inciting an argument. In many instances, these cats post topics knowing that they will start an argument and relish in the fact that they can draw other cats into the fray with obviously thin attempts to incite a riot. Beef cats will dispute any topic just for the sake of starting something. Most times these cats are clever and indeed smart with their disturbances. These threads can come in the form of subtleness or overtness...no matter, it always winds up being a 200 page affair. You can look at it like these cats are getting their rocks off by actually making other cats mad on the internet…(insert comment “it ain’t that serious" here).
Intellectual Mode
These cats post topics with substance…whether fakers or not most times these cats bring quality posts to the board. As time goes on, the trend has been that these posts usually get bumped down to the bottom of the page rather quickly in favor of other more important posts. These cats tend to have a lower “post count” because they avoid posting replies such as “lol” and “smh” and actually take the time to put together a well thought out response. This poster is a dying breed.
Business Mode
These are the cats that most of the time are on that business tip. Cats like this tend to post informative links and topics related to investing, starting a business, networking, advertising, marketing and the like. You can go to these cats in a thread or pm and obtain useful advice that may help you in real life…thus you better your chance to increase your $$...and cats can actually understands concepts and apply terms such as liquidity, marketability, net worth, liquid net worth and the like...its not always about ass and tits!
Observer Mode
Cats like…these cats tend to read more than post…make and observation then post a thread. Their post counts tend to be relatively low as they spend their time on the board reading and filtering through the quagmire that permeates the board from time to time. These cats can jump from thread to thread, topic to topic with the ability to post some worthwhile information on a variety of subjects. They tend to make a thread/post and then let that be the end of it…later for the 150 pages of replies and co-signs…these cats see something that needs to be said and say it…the end.
*disclaimer* This thread is not intended to typecast any one poster's posting style but rather just an observation by the author...take it for what its worth.
