Well, seeing there's at least a few of us, I figured what the hell. What's your favourite anime, and why do you watch it in the first place?

Personally, I like drawings. I had a lot of artist friends growing up and it really made an impact on me, though I can't draw for shite. I watch mainly fantasy based Anime, like "12 Kingdoms" or "Inuyasha" to put me in a more creative mood to write. My favourite Anime thus far is "Shura no Toki", I'm not sure why, it's pretty short (one season I believe) but I enjoy it.

favorite would be a little tough....i like a large variety of anime.

my all time favorites would be Mobile Suits Gundam (the original 1979 series...in fact, the entire Universal Century set), Sailor Moon (yes, i'm a Moonie, or rather, what Jeffinator calls a Moonie Purist), and Record of Lodoss War...i also LOVE Ghost in the Shell: StandAlone Complex...Kusanagi is very meow

Record of Lodoss War, I have that one. It's pretty good. Ghost in the Shell is a great series, very well done. I never did get into Sailor Moon, or DBZ for that matter.. Most of the ones that got popular in north america didn't interest me overly much.. Except Inuyasha, because it's fantasy based.

I've not seen it from the beginning, but I did see the first episode. It's weird, and more geared towards the younger crowd (mid-teen) but it's alright.

*chuckle* Naruto is a fun one, but yeah, the character Naruto himself can get rather annoying. Especially the english voice actor. I read the manga for that one.

yeah, but really, he's played well, just by the wrong voice

Thought I'd give this a bump, see if anyone else wants to join in the conversation.

Here's a bump in the hopes that a new day draws a new crowd :)

Hey, wish I would have noticed this earlier...

I'm kinda picky with anime, but I like Gundam, NOIR, GITS:SAC is great too, Trigun is a classic, and Outlaw Star.

Good choices :)

But again, I must say I mainly stick to the fantasy orientated ones.. however, I like Gantz and Getbackers, and those aren't fantasy. GITS:SAC rocks :D

Another anime thread good! Every time one comes up, I miss it. I used to watch hack. sign, something like that, all the gundam ones... and I still watch Cowboy Bebop, cos I got most of them on tape. miss my cable sigh. Oh, but I drew myself as an anime character a few hours ago....

Oooh, gonna share? :)

.hack sign, it's alright, a bit on the immature side I find, think it loses something in the translation, some of the characters are a bit dense :p but I watch it anyways :D

Yay! Anime!

Ok, here's my list, and I am always looking for more. I don't get into them all, some I find are hard to follow, and I hate that, at least around here, in order to see anything you have to buy it. God, I am too broke to keep that up. The one that got me started was Inuyasha. Don't know why the hell I love it, but boy do I. Then there is: Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Samurai Champloo, Ninja Scroll, Hellsing, Gungrave, Gantz, Initial D, Paranoia Agent, Big O, Witch Hunter Robin, Wolf's Rain, FLCL. To name a few, lol.

Cool! An anime forum. Most of the ones I have liked have been the popular like Sailor Moon, DBZ, etc. Lately my fave animes been Full Metal Alchemist and Hikaru No Go. Still a newbie when it comes to anime and manga for that fact. It's my semi-secret obession

You'll leave DBZ behind before too much longer :p It's not a very well done anime, at only 4 frames per second, it's rather choppy with little to no detail in the movements.

Full Metal Alchemist is one of my favourites, it's got a fun story and spiffy abilities :D Hikaru no Go I've not watched the anime, just read some of the manga.

However, if you like DBZ (probably due to the fighting) you'd enjoy Shura no Toki, Tengo Tenge, Yu Yu Hakusho, Kenshin, X-TV (or the movie).. etc.. They've all got a lot of fighting in them, with a lot better animation.

Hikaru No Go Anime DVDs are just starting to come out now. I got Vol. 1 already. Looking for Volume 2 and Volume 3 comes out in June. I have seen Yu Yu Hakusho, Kenshin and the movies. I liked DBZ mostly for Vegeta. He was such a cool character to me when I was younger. Still respect the guy. Those other two titles you mentioned I might check out.

I've got to say, if it is anime, I will probably watch it. Currently hooked on Bleach, Tenjho Tenge, Divergence Eve, Louie: The Rune Soldier, One Piece, Naruto, and my all time fav, Vandread.

the girls on VanDread are hot...i have a nice picture of Dita in leather pants with no top on <<

Meia is my fav on looks, personally, but Barnette is my fav on personality. A few more anime I like are Evangelion, RahXephon, Samurai Deeper Kyo, Angelic Layer, Samurai X, Kenshin, Mezzo, Bastard :D, Vampire Hunter D, Vampire Princess Miyu, Robotech (classic although Minmei is really annoying), Full Metal Panic and TSR, and Magic Knights Rayearth.

Nice to see a few people posting here :D

I've heard a few people talk about Bleach, I keep meaning to check it out, haven't had a chance yet.
