what's the most romantic song?

I'm not sure why I'm starting this thread.... I'm definitely not in a romantic mood. well, I am, but the object of my affections has her eyes on another. it kills me to know that I'm barely an afterthought to her anymore and that the most amazing days of my life apparently meant nothing to her.

but still, it's that time of year..... the time everyone is supposed to be thinking of getting romantic with the one they love..... and there's a part of me that can't help wishing and hoping.

so...

I've seen a thread about what songs to shake your ass to. there's a thread about what songs get you in the mood. I suppose that can be taken in a romantic context, but I took it to mean what music gets you hot and in the mood to do the nasty. which definitely ain't a bad thing - I like to do the nasty, too.

but.... this is pure romance.....

what one song would you play for your true love to let them know how you feel about them? what song would let them know that you love them so? what song would do to say you'll always be true? what song tells them that you can't or don't want to live without them?

mine is let me be the one by rik emmett. I may be the only one on this board that's ever heard it, rik ain't exactly a household name. I dunno how I'd feel about it if I wasn't such a big fan of rik's music, but he's been one of my idols ever since his days as singer/guitarist for the band Triumph. it's the most romantic song I can think of, and if I ever get married it's the one song that I know will get played at the ceremony.

that's a good one, too... I thought about learning how to play it at one time, because the girl I referred to was heavy into metallica and that's one of the songs by them I like. I never got around to it, but I don't think it would have mattered.... except it might have ended things sooner. lol.

oh my god!!! I was going to say the exact same thing!!
it used to be my "stock' song when making a mixed CD for my current paramour..

i even wanted it to be my weddng song at one time.
