My SO and I had been talking about hair removal for some time. After doing some investigating we decided to purchase the Seiko Cleancut ES412 Personal Shaver. It came with Sween Fordustin Body Powder, Ladyfair Personal Trimmer, and batteries. After looking at lots of pictures and talking alot we decided that she would look the sexiest with a landing strip cut. We used the trimmer to define the strip and take the excess down to stubble (this part went great). Then we applied the powder which is recommended for best results. Next we attempted to remove the stubble using the Cleancut Shaver. Here is where the problem developed. It basically did not cut anything, no matter how she tried to use it (if it did, it was so minor that you couldn't tell a difference). Now my SO is left with a prickly mess and starting to get irritated bumps from all the stubble poking around down there. I have read all the instructions on the manufacturers website and feel like we followed them all to the letter. I feel very bad for suggesting the idea to my SO now. She is going to be very uncomfortable in a couple days when the stubble begins to grow. What can I do to help????

P.S. I have written the company to express my concerns and unhappiness with the shaver. I will let you know what they say.

Theres definately something going wrong here.. because I have used this on my (now ex)-wife MANY MANY MANY times.. and it was the best thing out..

You use the Personal Trimmer to trim the hair down to the shortest stubble you can.
Then you powder the area, and use the Seiko, you have to use circular motions, and keep at it until it's smooth.. You may have to open the top, and clean the foil and blades (by blowing on them) to clean out the hair and stuff often.. Persistance does pay off, as it worked better than anything else we had ever tried.

Also, what we found invaluable, was using a spray on shaver lubricant which you can often get at shaver shops.. this made a HUGE difference to keeping the shaver foil and blade from getting clogged, and blades from blunting quickly.

I adjusted the blade height when I got home and tried the shaver on my face. It did a much better job. My SO will probably give it a try later.

We bought the Seiko too and it's not worth the trouble throw it away and shave in the shower like everyone else.

body bare

it may be that the hair is still too long for it to cut. If it works like the bodybare you first have to cut the hair down to like an eighth of an inch with the supplied trimmers then use the bodybare with powder to finish up. you also have to pull the skin taut enough for it to catch the hairs and it really leaves my puni very soft and smooth, so smooth that i have to wear silk panties for the first few days as not to irritate the skin. google body bare and check it out. it works but takes practice.
