Othello City the sign had once read when the paint was fresh long ago.
It was a city with great hopes when created. A community that would grow and become a model for all others, a leader in industry and humanity.
It started right enough. Set beside a river it had access to the sea, the railroad was easily coaxed into placing it's iron tracks as well, elctricity and running water was brought into the borders even at the turn of the century.
It grew. And Grew. And GREW.
And somewhere in all the growth the ideals were lost, greed replaced compassion, sin replaced sympathy.
Now in present day the letters had faded along with the hopes, and some resident in ironic humor had lifted a hand to alter the sign to a more fitting description.
Hell City

It's in this modern day setting our story plays itself out. In the midst of all the modern conveniences and the "great" knowledge humanity had aquired.
