This is a PM I received this morning:

"Hi, it's XXXXXX. Very sorry to say that XXXXX died Mon. 31st Oct. Halloween. Was he having a laugh? I looked after him at his home for a couple of months but the pain became too much and he spent the last few days in the hospice. Cancer. Nasty way to go. I'm clearing his flat at the moment and will unplug now. I'm having his computer but I don't know when or if I'll get on the Internet. You still have my address I hope. If you're ever in London again you have a place to stay. I'm very sad. We've been friends for twenty years. Would you please post the news for me. "

This is all the information I have. I will try to contact this person in regards of PP man when I get back later on today. I am sitting here right now with tears swelling in my eyes. He truly was a gentle soul who loved to stir others thoughts. He loved to watch how others woudl react. For those who met him you know that his heart was in the right place. For those who trolled him well nuff said there.

May he rest in peace! My heart goes out to him and his family, friends, and those he called family.

I seldom agree with Don, but Peeps WAS an original, and true to himself, I think - always.

NOW it comes out, the logic behind the pain-wracked drunk posts... it was that Crab, knawing at him, body & soul.

I respectfully agree with Jimi's post.

RIP PP Man. I didnt know you well at all, but am saddened by the news and would feel the same if ANYONE from this little community were to fall prey to the same.

Thanks. He was an irascible Old Bugger, but could be very eloquent when he chose - and we pm'ed a bit on various issues... after the point I had "caught" him a couple of times just doing stuff for "shock and awe".

I just said to another Litster in a PM... "You gotta KNOW, he sitting there laughing his ARSE off at us, right now" (from whatever Spiritual Realm he inhabits). ;)

I've said it many times, I liked peeps. He would have made a good neighbor. Disliking someone because you don't agree with them is stupid. He responded to personal attacks with class.
 
My heart goes out to his family, friends, and associates. He was a man with strong convictions, and I admired his tenacity. Having just been through this with my mother, I hope his suffering was minimal like hers was. Fair well my worthy, and respected adversary.
 
If this is true, then God rest his soul. He was good for a laugh and behind the incoherent postings, there was a real person there, and none of us probably knew him. It sounds like his last days were dreadful and I don't wish that one anyone. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those who really knew him and really miss him. RIP my fellow pervert, RIP.
