Mid year last year was a bad old time, broken wrists to name but two.
Lou beat me up good and proper of my failing to submit and now... I just don't have the umph to finish it. I'm like that marathon runner who dropped out, not Paula, the other one.

Awww, don't feel bad, babe...I know life gets in the way sometimes, but I couldn't give Lauren a hard time without dragging you in there too.

I offered to write your chapter. It would have been good, but I can't recall any of my research now, and quite right, the umph to write, let alone read.
Perhaps? And this is just a suggestion. It should be dropped? Or maybe
to make t easy for all who were involved .... a wrap up party ceremony scene befitting a porn film ... each of us writing a 200 - 400 word thingy, with a seguay last paragraph for the next person? 
Edit to add: started by Lauren of course. I do believe she had something in mind
