The voice challenge submissions for the week of 04/26/05 are now closed. Below is a list of participants in order of submission (not really, ;) I'm fluffy, not dumb). Please use this thread to make your guess cards.

I'll swear that #7 is mine. It has that resonance of my darkfic (which filled my two previous Voice entries) and the inexplicably cruel thing happening to really nice people. Whoever did do that one, good job.

I’m supposed to post the author/stories, and tell you all who won; however, if it’s okay with everyone (and even if it’s not okay, I’m making an executive decision :D) I’m going to wait until morning to allow certain parties of the UK Meet-up contingent (EL, please make your guesses!) a chance to play.

Plus, I’m sick and I’m going to bed now. :(

:) Apparently, very few people here knew how dark my stories can be. Cool.

Of course, for the next challenge, I'm fucked. But that's okay.

I'm darker than Samandiriel! Woo hoo! :nana:
 
Should have listened to myself. I knew that #4 wasn't English, but I convinced myself that The Earl might be playing very, very clever on that one.

I'm amazed. It's the first time no one has guessed me. Evidently I write like Samandriel and The Earl writes like me. That's not bad company to be in.

(And I am off to taunt the SO, who said, of the entry, "Anyone who's read 'Meer Kass' will know that's you immediately." Fear my giant space crows.)

So, let me get this straight:

Samandiriel wrote the nice, heartwarming story, where everything turned out beautifully, the work which makes you feel so much better about human nature.

English Lady wrote the dark fiction (usually my territory) of excruciatingly horrible things happening to very nice people.

I'm not buying it. At all.

Well, the butterfly *does* get eaten by a sparrow ...

For me, it really was EL's style that got me. I didn't know Samandriel's well enough to go for anything but quirky SOH, but EL's style is pretty consistant.

Mine, evidently, went on vacation. It amuses me deeply, as this one was written in great haste with no effort of any sort to try new voices or topics. I thought it was going to be another "obvious to everyone."

What on earth DO I know?
