OOC:This is an attempt at pumping life back into an old thread that i quite enjoyed. Props go to Beco for the intro. This is a free post, feel free to add characters and join in the fun. Lets keep it alive this time. eh?
Denton Hall, an 8 story high-rise dorm sits at the very edge of the campus of the Pacific University. This old coed dorm, part of a three building Quad, readies for the start of the Spring Semester at PU, and was just renovated over the summer. The building now has a built in swimming pool, and entertainment room which has a pool table, piano, table tennis, foozball. Parents hug their children, new roommates are introduced, and senior residents greet their old friends as school is starting up for the semester in late August. The start of this semester finds the third floor in bit of a transitional phase. More then half of the hall’s residents have either graduated or have found other housing off campus. Senior residents, familiar with the routine, anxiously await their new residents and roommates. The long cinderblock hallways are crowded this afternoon as freshman finds their way and unpack their things. The third floor of Denton Hall houses about 100 students from all walks of life, with girls on one side and boys on the other separated by the elevator lobby and the game room. Each dorm room houses two students with the exception of those senior residents lucky enough to have their own single rooms. Only three days before classes officially begin…
Carrying his basket full of clothes, and a backpack loaded with computer peripherals, Marcus walks to the beginning of the hall, next to the game roomand finds his room by the stairs.
Marcus DiNofrio, 22 years old and weighing 150, Italian-American, black hair usually spiked in the front and very light blue eyes. He came from a small town over in cold Vermont, less than 800 population.
His 5’11 slim frame and his smooth sense of humor made him a favorite at beer bashes and house parties, too bad he had never been to one in his life.
He was going to buckle down this semester, he wouldn’t let his parents down, still they worried about the temptation of college life without a girlfriend on their young son and the new experiences he might encounter.
He turned on his laptop and started playing some music loudly while he was unpacking his things.
