I mentioned in another thread I’d had a story rejected twice with the snuff/vore reason. This is the link.

https://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=1546908

I have a confession. Although this was the first story submitted by Agiel it’s not my first story because I’ve had 30 plus stories, in various categories, published using another name. With all due respect to those writers who submit in Loving Wives, I would never, under my other name, submit an LW story. However, just for the hell of it, I decided to let my silly sense of humour loose and write the most outrageous and trashy story I could do.

As mentioned in the previous thread the story was rejected twice after which I wrote a pm to Laurel which, after 10 days, had not been responded to. The last two weeks I’ve been incommunicado with no access to the internet. Imagine my surprise when, upon just checking this profile, I discover the story was published 6 days ago. Thank you Laurel. In my pm I did tell her my other name and my reasons. Whether that made any difference who knows. Maybe she’s got a similar sense of humour.

It’s achieved my aim. I couldn’t be more pleased (actually I could) with a terrible rating and with some really horrible comments. Although to my surprise it’s got several favourites and 7.2k openings.

Has anyone else done anything similar with Loving Wives?

No, but now I want to. Oh, my God, is that pen name a reference to Sword of Truth? Also, I’ve seen this sense of humor before! This is beautiful and I am here for all of it. I want part in this.

Is there any woman who combines sex and dominance better than a Mord’Sith? I think I’d happily accept the pain.

Writing a story such as Poison Ivy was very enjoyable and got rid of a temporary block I had with another story. I’d recommend it to anyone with a sense of humour who wouldn’t want to submit in LW using their “respectable” name. I lost count how many times in 22k words I used fuck and cunt.

I learned several years ago the LW crowd has no sense of humor. Between needing to have a brain in your head to understand humor and the inability to stop spewing hate for...for even a breath, they understand nothing.

I put a story up a few years back that was so over the top one mockery of the typical cuck story you'd think they'd have to know it was.

The only comments that got it was parody was a few other authors who read it because it was a contest entry, and they got it.

As for the rest the score is something like a 2.98, with mostly the usual hate and attempts at insults they think are clever.

Mine went under my name because I don't fear my other stories being bombed or them commenting on them.

The motto best taken with the breathing fecal matter that dwells there is wolves don't lose sleep over the opinions of sheep.

No, I have this funny thing about treating LW readers with respect. But you got what you wanted. A lousy score and ugly comments.

Congrats on jumping into the cesspool with them.

Who’s a grumpy old devil today! You may not have the same sense of fun as me, and many don’t, but come on Gordo12 you don’t have to be nasty. Let the sun shine from your heart as much as it does from above.

To be more serious I’ve never in any post (under my other name) referred to Loving Wives as a cesspool, although some do, and as you are a writer who has 14 out of 19 stories in that category I’m surprised you have referred to LW as such. “Congrats on jumping into the cesspool with them.” Really? Is that anyway to talk about your readers?

As it says below, “written tongue in cheek.” So let’s share a smile and be friends. :rose::heart:

I was intrigued, so I have read it. Every word.

I think it is fun. Crude, but fun, but you seemed to have forgotten to include an ending to the story.

It felt to me that you ended mid-stream. I think you need to button it, or add another quick chapter and button it up in that.

I’m glad you enjoyed it and got the idea of it being fun. Crude is only one of the words I was aiming for and I think you got that with the plethora of fuck’s and cunt’s used. I’d hate to have to count them.

I had only intended writing about 8k/10k words but it just ran away from me. By the time I got to the ending I had had enough and didn’t want to carry on just rehashing what I’d previously written. So the rest of her session with Sean, having made my point she’d trapped him completely, I left to the imagination of the reader and also, from how Ivy’s mind worked, what was going to happen regarding the other characters.

Amongst the several comments about me personally these are two of my favourites. The first I accept as a great compliment because that was one of my intentions. .

Couldn’t get past the first page, you have written a female character that makes Cruella de’Ville an angel. This is just horrific.

Sticking a needle into my dick would be less painful than this bullshit! My advice… delete the story and start take up knitting.

I read it, and thought it was a 21st century Chaucerian romp - an unabashed woman fearlessly fucking, getting what she wanted. Sure, targeting quite deliberately the LW "market place" and getting a shit-ton of predictable responses ("Oh no, satire, I don't get that..."). Shooting fish in a barrel, really. I thought immediately of JBJ, the way the muppets would constantly rise and take the bait.

I sorta-kinda sympathise with Gordo, but really, trolls being trolled... it's a laugh.

Every so often somebody arrives in AH and suggests going out and trolling the LW crowd. Great fun! You say you have 30 other stories but you're in here hiding. What's the matter? Were you afraid YOU might pay the price in comments and scores on your other stories?

Just curious, why all the hate towards Loving Wives creators/readers?
(I did not know this was a thing)

I've been curious about the power many other authors here give to Loving Wives. It seems to consume some and scare the crap out of others. I've enjoyed a lot of success with my stories there. The number of "nasty comments" is minuscule in the face of thousands of votes, dozens of comments and ten - twenty thousand views.

Averages are around 1 vote every 15 - 30 views, and 1 comment every 300 views.

I remember one of the contests a while back. Someone was complaining because they only had 24 votes and didn't make the 25 vote qualification. I had over 2300 votes. Now that's feedback.

The recent problems with votes disappearing in our portfolios cost me something like 2000 votes (I know there were worse) It was hardly noticeable in the total votes built up from a couple of years writing there.

Sooo, my little jab: Those that can...do! Those that can't...write in the easy categories :D;)

So the issue is that it is a very popular genre, and people who don't write in it are annoyed by how much attention it gets? (Which I understand, i'm just trying to figure out whats going on)

No, Incest gets a LOT more attention and views than LW. There's a small group of readers that make terrible comments daily. And vote stories down. They don't like the stories but strangely read them all, usually before anyone else.

It seems to stampede everyone despite the fact the other stats blow those few people out of the water. Hell, when you get 6 lousy comments and 40 favs you're really going to run for the door?

Some people can't take someone being nasty.

I think the answer to the question you asked is that it's a category where a lot of men who have felt themselves to have been burned badly in real life by the same scenarios that arise in Loving Wives congregate to refight their battles and to keep ripping the Band-Aids off the wounds. This gives them a venue to continue nursing their grievances without having to write a check. For the readers who complain about the stories this doesn't do much to make them move on with life. For those who want to read the story without being assailed with a lot of crazy backlash, it intrudes on their reading pleasure. For the writers of the story, they have to put up with a lot of crap and downvoting that quite often isn't giving their story a fair assessment.

I agree that trolling the trolls in this category only dirties up the room for authors trying to explore real-life issues in their stories. I haven't avoided writing to the category in various account names when a plotline occurs to me, but I don't have high expectations on the rating and comments when I do.

There is no hate towards Loving Wives creators/readers, Vail_Indigo. There are many great stories by great writers in that category and there are many genuine readers who read, enjoy and score the stories highly.

Unfortunately, their is a section of the readership who are not interested in reading a good story and giving it a 4 or 5. They enjoy making their anonymous scathing, and worse, comments and frequently exercise their opportunity to destroy the score of the story.

It’s laughter and derision towards these trolls that is what you get from comments in AH not anything to do with the writers and readers.

I agree I think that reflects a lot of what underlies LW. But it is only a small proportion of those people. The vast majority aren't like that.

20,000 views. 6 ugly comments, 2000 votes averaging between 4&5. You can delete the comments and the site sweeps their lousy votes.

This whole LW thing is much ado about nothing.

BTW 10-20,000 views in LW use to be a good two days. I've noticed lately that 30-40,00 is not uncommon now. It appears the readership has doubled. :D

Some of these folks aren't trolls. A lot of them have experienced real-life deep hurt and hardship from being in the situations the stories depict and they just can't rise above having been laid low by the experience. Intentionally poking them with a stick isn't really rising even to their level, I don't think, and it puts those trying to write seriously to the category in a war zone.

Yet you still fail to acknowledge that you hid your portfolio from the blowback that others are having to take for your little fun enterprise.

Yep!

I wonder what it would be like if I wrote a lesbian story in Loving Wives. I suspect a lot of confused feelings.

It wouldn't go down well. We call them category hoppers. Some writers come looking for the readership but fail to realize they're there for specific stories. You'd get a lot of flack for it.

Interesting. Unsurprisingly, only cis-het relationships have wives. I mean, I get it, that this is what the category is intended for, but they should really rename it. But, obvs, I have a vested interest.

Renaming has been brought up thousands of times. The site refuses. This is the category description:

Married extra-marital fun: swinging, sharing & more.

Readers are in there screaming because there's no LOVING wife in the story. New authors write about the wonderful sex they had with their wives the night before. Wrong category. Flaming ahead. Health-conscious people advise us time and time again how many are going to die from STDs. It goes on and on. There are so many subgroups in there it was doomed to be a flaming mess. Which I believe the site likes. Controversy is your best advertisement for drawing people.

Back when I read Wizard’s First Rule was when a dark demon was born. And now here we are.

No, seriously, I could see that being a kind of catharsis, where you can get it out of your system, be as crude as you like, and not have to care. I’m glad it got rid of the writer’s block you had, at any rate :).

Really? While you were having your tongue-in-cheek fun whipping up the crowd into a frenzy did you stop to consider what effect it might have on other authors that day. Comments? Scores? From a bunch of riled-up readers.

You see tongue-in-cheek. I see someone shitting in my living room.

What's the matter? Were you afraid YOU might pay the price in comments and scores on your other stories?)

“Whipping up the crowd into a frenzy?” The only person I see here in a frenzy is you. “The effect on other authors?” You seem to be the only one affected.

“I see someone shitting in MY living room?” I think that comment is very revealing. So LW is Gordo12’s domain?

I don’t want to blow my own trumpet (I don’t really mean that ) but 80% of my stories have that red icon against them not 25%. Do you think that’s a little harsh? Okay. I apologise. :)

“Were you afraid YOU might pay the price?” No. If I’d set out to write a “quality” LW story I’d have published it with the rest of my stories. But that wasn’t the case. I deliberately set out to write a story so bad a decent writer wouldn’t have had anything to do with it. But you’ve taken it personally.

Actually I now think publishing in a different name was a good idea. Judging by your reaction I think all my stories would by now have been hit. What does that say about you?

It says nothing about me. I'm here in the open, in your face. My portfolio exposed, not yours.

It's you cowering in the shadows letting the others take the flak. Come back when you have the guts to man up about who you are. Although I see the commenters over there think they can out you.

I just wanted to drop in and say that I have no idea what's going on here.

Having no idea what’s going on is something we all feel many times with life in general, especially as we get older. I realise you may be joking but, if not, the interchange of comments is because Gordo12, as a committed writer of Loving Wives stories, has taken offence to a story I’ve written as a joke. He seems to think it was aimed at him personally, which it wasn’t, as in his earlier comment “shitting in my living room.”
