I'm actually surprised it stayed here as long as if did. The whole notion IS/WAS politics for Christ's sake. It will require an act of congress, right? All Champ did was point to the 500 lb gorilla that was sitting in the corner from the very first post.

It's far from sociological when it entails the government dipping their hands into the wallets of the taxpayers to "payoff" agitators. Once the government is involved it's political.

Actually, there isn't much American men (here) seem to be able to discuss at all without losing their shit.

Furthermore, to be blunt, of course replies would be biased, the board is like 90% or more Boomer Generation Men of the Caucasian Persuasion, a significant number who lean conservative (yet play around on a porn board).

Perhaps the original OP himself is also miffed about politics being relegated to the Politics Board.

His persona strives for the aloof Bill Murray image, but that doesn't really fool anybody.

I didnt think it was party-political, no more than a discussion about abortion or space travel need be.

To the left everything is political. Bring up a societal discussion and they'll have a law in mind to 'fix' the problem, real or imagined.

That may be true. However, not all us old codgers of the Boomer Generation, of the Caucasian Persuasion, skew rightward in their political and cultural outlook. In fact some of us are downright progressive! Just sayin'.. ;)
