The problem is with the assumption in the title that the assailant is a Trump supporter.

Would anyone assume under other circumstances that being attacked because you were wearing a MAGA hat means the attacker is a Trump supporter?

And all because a kid didn't take off his hat.

For years we have seen right wingers complain that muslims weren't denouncing their terrorists. Of course the RWCJ doesn't do the same thing now that right wing terrorism is out of control in this country.

It's not even freedom of speech. It's a fucking 13 kid who forgot to take his hat off. Or even if he just didn't want to, what kind of psycho body slams a kid?

And in what world is that behavior not deserving of immediate condemnation?
 
Dude was already under a ten year suspended sentence for assault with a weapon. I'll go out on a limb and say the odds of him going to prison for fracturing the skull of a 13 year old are pretty good.

It was closer to attempted murder than assault, and apparently in Montana it's no big deal since he got a suspended sentence:

Brockway was convicted of a 2010 charge of assault with a weapon, the station reports. In that incident, Brockway pulled up to a parked vehicle, got out and pulled a gun on a family and stated he was going to kill them, according to KPAX. He was sentenced to 10 years with the Montana Department of Corrections, all of which were suspended.​

couldn't happen to a better guy. what's the odds he has a gun or two tucked away someplace as well? are those out on suspended allowed firearms?

Regardless of anything else, it wasn't his kid. He didn't have a right to touch him at all. Go directly to jail.

What conservative grants anyone else the right to touch their kid without permission from a parent?
 
Brockway has been released on his OR, even though he is on court probation. I hope he gets locked up for a long time, but I have my doubts that will happen.
 
Fuckin' Montana, man. It's a pretty neat place in some respects but it's just full of people like that.
