In this category, please nominate the writer who affected you the most in 2020. Whose stories did you seek out and enjoy? Who made laugh/cry/etc.? Whose body of work most had an effect on you or your writing (if you're an author) this year?

Author must be an active Literotica author (meaning their account is still currently on Literotica – it has not been removed or cancelled) who submitted stories during the year 2020 (and those submissions must still be on the site).

One nomination per member, please. If multiple nominations are made by a member, only the first listed will count.

Please note that posts containing trolling, name-calling, and/or other forms of negativity will be removed. If you don't enjoy contests, that's fine - you are free to not participate. Please do not ruin everyone else's fun. :rose:

Thank you to all participants - readers and authors alike!

M8dOvGlaz

I would like to nominate M8dOvGlaz

Her stories are not only stuffed with lovely characters, greatly varying sexy scenes, are one hell of excellent examples about 'build-up', but she also inspired, motivated and helped others to write and put their works on this very website.

Thank you!

I would like to nominate Bookwormmom.

Her beautiful character development makes every story she writes enjoyable to read. Her characters are relatable and believable. By the time you finish the story, you are best friends with them and wish you could invite them over for a cook-out.

HDK is one of the Lit Original Gangstas. He has been posting stories since 2004 and is still going strong. He is two-time winner of "Best Novel," as well as other contest wins. With 191 stories posted, and 2020 being his most active year in the last several, HDK remains extremely influential. Not just for his writing. He gives his help to other writers who ask him to read stories with a view to improvement, he mentors new writers and gives his support for any good idea on the site. If being influential means influencing other writers, there is no one who does that more than HDK.

I nominate GeorgeAnderson for his influence on the LW section in 2020. Almost everyone wrote a version of his February story.

I nominate Bebop3 for Most Influential Writer. He made some serious waves this year with Hop on the Bus, one of the highest-rated stories in the romance category, and has written countless stories in his Montauk series that are all extremely well-received. Bebop3 is talented and often lends a hand to new writers. He mentors and betas for writers, and is an overall good inspiration to new writers just starting out. 66 stories!

Check out his submissions here:

George Anderson. He has inspired me to begin writing in 2020.

I love her work, and I can’t tell you how many other authors give credit to her for either helping or inspiring their work.

Her work is the best, and she is often mentioned as inspiration for other great authors.

HDK is the man

An OG from way back, Harddaysknight still contributes great stuff to this site. His comments are incredibly helpful to authors, if they actually pay attention.

I would like to nominate chasten https://www.literotica.com/stories/memberpage.php?uid=1094074&page=submissions

He gives each story the right tone and the styles vary seamlessly

In A COUPLE OF BARS: THE LIEUTENANT you can feel the jaded military veteran telling his story.

In PIE THIEF the old folk tale style suits this beautiful and touching story perfectly and it did make me cry.

The THE CORNER TABLE AT MICKEY'S series he captures the female POV in a realistic way.

On top of producing his own stories he is a profiled editor and beta reader with a real eye for small changes that help develop another writers work before publication. How he finds the energy and time I have no idea but I’m very grateful for it.

GeorgeAnderson

I second or third (I've lost count) the GeorgeAnderson nomination. It's had more works inspired by it than any I've run across.

GabTheWriter

I would like to nominate GabTheWriter.

Her stories are original, slightly dark and twisted, and hot as hell. The they have unique characters that you hate and love, sometimes simultaneously, and excellent world building. She’s always trying new and unique methods of story telling, like introducing a Choose Your Own Adventure format, and multiple viewpoints from different domes of the end of civilization and how man deals with a removal of societal norms. All in all, she’s stellar and amazing and her stories have managed to help me get through this never ending pandemic with most of my sanity intact.

For a specific story to nominate, I’m going with Going Home. I have read that one over and over again and I’m not sure why, but it resonates with me. I think the horror and fright and the realism that it could happen make it so much more REAL to me. I pay attention now more in box stores to people, does she look scared, is he intimidating her, does he need help, than ever before. It also reminds me to look beyond the physical and not judge on an appearance. And it’s a great commentary on commercialism and consumerism in our culture.

I nominate Bebop3. His stories carry a depth and resonance for me, and he's a prolific and varied writer. He's a mentor to new writers. He writes well, and is constantly looking to improve - and is happy to pass those tips on.

stickygirl

I don't know if this is allowed. However, I would like to nominate stickygirl, not only for her stories, but also for her thread. Her stories are written exquisitely, with well crafted Characters, and compelling plots. More than that, She has a thread designed to educate and counsel the people regarding LGBTQ community. It is a thread that permits anyone to ask what may otherwise be taboo questions in a safe judgment free setting.

Yukonnights

His use of POV, emotional insight, and his generous help as a volunteer editor and enthusiastic support for other writers... he is a treasure, an amazing resource, and a great influence.

Bebop3

I'll go with Bebop3. He's put out a lot this last year that has influenced a lot of people.

For Family Reunion: Mother’s Day alone, but her wide range of stories keep me interested and have helped me explore topics i had never considered. Plus, she has a new story every week it seems.

Silkstockingslover

She did a wonderful job with all of our stories, but Daddy, Daughter Date Days, is one of my favorite.
