Survey OOC and Casting Call

After the discovery of an alien artificial intelligence on the mountainous world Pultoan, the Dracon, Avir, Phibs, and Cane have put together a collaborative research vessel called Survey to explore the depths of unknown space to find more relics of the species that created the A.I.

Dracon- A reptilian species from the desert world of Kerag 2. So far the most technologically advanced species which helped build most of Survey's systems, hull, and shielding. The Dracon look like bipedal lizards, and their scale colors vary depending on the sub-species, which have yet to be documented by even the Dracon themselves.

Avir- An omnivorious avian species from the high-altitude world Petrac. The Avir have a long standing tradition of being some of the greatest pilots and navigators in the known galaxy, and as such they helped with the navigation system of Survey. The Avir have hands and fingers with their wings folding when their arms are closed.

Phibs- Amphibians from the marsh planet of Deckonias, the Phibs have been mostly considered a nuisance in the early years of contact until they proved their worth with their advanced cloning and terraforming technology. Onboard the Survey they put in the matter reconstructors to recycle the wastes the crew produces and turns it into edible food. The Phibs look like big frogs, but pretty skinny when compared to a normal frog.

Cane- Canine-like mammals from Korak, a temperate world. The Cane are relative newcomers onto the galactic scene, but they're relentless in their search for greater knowledge and for being treated equally by the other three species. Survey's defensive and onboard weapons are supplied by the Cane. The Cane look like large, bipedal dogs. The females have at least six breasts and the males have a sheath where their penis is hidden.

Crew members must try to keep equal between the four species. Sex is more than welcomed, but the main purpose of Survey is to explore for new and uninhabited worlds. This is inspired by the other SRP going on, "Unexpected Cargo", despite the fact that I have not participated in it.

This sounds like a very interesting thread... I hope you can get it going and if so, please sign me up for a role, I think head Engineer Nuesk, a dracon, young and eager to prove himself. He's proud of his species and of the ship they've built, for he views Survey as a Draconian ship, downplaying the other species involvement completely. Arrogant and boastful, Nuesk is however a very competent engineer, his encyclopedic knowledge of the ship's system astound even his assistants.

We still have plenty, and I mean plenty, of open spots for the crew! Medical officers, security, we just need all the spots filled, which is a big challenge.

Okay, we're going to have to double to make sure that the RP doesn't get crowded. I just don't have any ideas for another character though.

hey this sounds great, im new, but i wouldn't mind playing a character.

I would be Commander Medas, an Avir, a former pilot, who is happy to be part of the crew, but is uncomfortable around Canes, and as such doesnt always see eye to eye with the captain. He's a joker, with a passion for speed, but also has a serious side which he doesnt like people to see often. His tendancy to complain makes strangers think he is rude, but those who know him, realise he does it as a form of compliment. Though he appears otherwise, he is extremly nervous around females of all species.

also if ur wanting us to double up, i could be Xortil, the phib science officer assigned to the ship, who isnt very happy about being part of the crew,and hates movement of all sorts, prefferring to stay in one place. He respects the captain though, and is constantly thinking of his projects back home, and isnt against doing some unscrupulous unauthorised work in his lab, and has no time for ethic issues.

NiteCrowe asked me to consider joining this thread...before i do, some info would be nice. the AI was created by who exactly, or are you willing to reveal that yet? also, what else CAN you tell us about the verse the thread exists in?

Ah, I was hoping for this sooner or later. The AI's creators won't be revealed until later in the story, story and all of that.

Their section of the galaxy has relatively few habitable worlds, some of the unhabitable ones have been under the process of being terraformed for habitation. So, the Survey mission is just as much of finding new worlds to colonize as it is to find the creators of the AI and whatever else they may have left behind.

I'd like to see if dragonrazor is going to join up. All we need is the navigator and medical officer to officially start the RP. Hmm, I'm going to make it so we only need one assistant in each group, instead of three.

Doubling Up?

Well if we're all doubing up, I could play Skes, the navigator. Skes is a dracon, and like her older brother, eagerly joined the crew of the Survey. While not as arrogant as her brother, Nuesk, Skes does have a very similar personality, taking a good deal of pride in their species and the mission they are on.
