A mischievous smile twisted on Sadie's lips, and she could not keep herself from responding, "Mais oui, Madame, je comprends bien! Je ne peut pas utiliser le mot AND en conversation pour l'heure prochaine... merci, Maitresse." She delivered this last, pressing a kiss to Mistress Janella's boots, to show that she was teasing. Hoping that a little fun was permitted from time to time.
She nearly purred of her own accord, feeling the Domme's gentle stroking of her hair, and was only too willing to comply when given permission. She let her tongue roll like a kitten's happy purr (French lessons were good for something, then!), to let Mistress Janella know that she understood.
But at her prompting to explain the tattooed collar, Sadie's lips tightened into a rather humorless smile, and she stopped purring. "That was a mistake, Mistress," she answered quietly. "Last summer, Master Gio put a steel collar, with a lock, on one of his other girls, aan - so I was jealous. I thought I was ready for a permanent collar - I'd been with him longer."
She lowered her head at the memory. "So I went to the tattoo parlour without him, an - t-to ask them to give me the most permanent collar I could think of. It was painful, Mistress - it took much longer than I thought it would...but I kept thinking, I was doing it for Gio, he would be so surprised."
Sadie's eyes stung with tears, but she blinked them away. None fell, and she took some comfort in that. "He...his face was terrible when he saw it, Mistress. He wasn't angry - but he wasn't pleased, like I thought he would be. He looked - hurt. And - oops, sorry - um...well, he just took me in his arms an- to ask what I had done..." She looked up at Mistress Janella with a strange little smile. "He was hurt for me - he wasn't ready to collar me like that. He couldn't accept such a gesture - not yet. So it means nothing."
She cleared her throat, glancing around to make sure no one but Mistress Janella was listening to her story. "So. No other markings of submission, Mistress."
OOC: I tried your challenge, Stegral - tried not to use the word "and" in my post - but it's impossible! I'm way too addicted to the word! Just on another note, to any readers - I have no idea how safe a tattoo around the throat is, so please don't try this at home.
