OOC and Casting Call - University of Translyvania

Never done a casting call before. Basically, it's a university / monster setup. Looking for good writers (there'll hopefully be a nice comedic undertone to the thread) and interesting characters. No super 900 year old vampires with ninja swords -this is the real(ish) world, and a university.

Basically, we need a key group of misfits who live together in a rambling old mansion outside of town, and then maybe some normals and professors and so on.

Possible monster characters I'd like to see, you'll have to develop them yourselves (feel free to come up with your own):

Frank Stein - on a football scholarship
A greek exchange student who is a Siren, except has a really whiny annoying voice
X Stoker (frat / sorority president or sports star or something who has a famous great uncle)
the partially invisible person
an incompetent witch

I'm not reall sure where this will go (I suspect there will be the usual university type stuff, then maybe some more interesting stuff will start happening , no not just that you pervert, I mean tensions between the Castle and the squeaky clean frat / sorority, classic college misfit movie stuff, only with amusing monsters.

My Character:


Phil Dorian (Fido to his friends) is a 21 year old Junior at UT. He has an athletic build (he's on the university Ultimate Frisbee team), mid length light brown hair, nice teeth, and soulful brown eyes. He majors in History, likes long walks on the beach, playing frisbee, and cars (especially chasing them down the street). See, Phil isn't your normal college junior, when the moon is full, or at other inappropriate times, he tends to turn into what looks quite like a large 1 or 2 year old german shepherd / husky.

Phil lives in Castle Dracula (not it's real name), a run down old southern mansion building on the outskirts of town. He shares it with an undefined number of other "special" UT students. It's something like a unisex equivalent of Animal House, only with a doggie door.

So, UT is now accepting enrolments, human and otherwise, for the 2006 spring semester.

Thalakos VonElric

His long white hair cascades down over his face, shoulders, and back stopping about the top of his arse. The gaze from his black eyes with electric blue pupils that seem to glow softly, is calming and reassuring, as is his soft yet dominating voice. A collar with a celtic cross clasp of pure silver adorns his neck.

Vlad E. M. Paler

A mature student, very mature as it happens. He has recently finished a 144 step program to wean him away from bodily fluids so to speak, it started around 1896 or so. He is now clean and his minders hope he can live in society more or less normally.

He is fairly tall and is somewhat handsome in a dark, forbidding greasy sort of way. He now takes in only tomatoe juice flavoured with Beef Boullionand it seems to do the trick. He is unfortunatly rather twitchy though, and a tad high strung. One unforseen side effect from his treatments is a severely enhanced libido, he is a walking hormone.

Vlad wants to study architecture and civil engineering for some reason and has been recomended to this fraternity for obvious reasons.

Eden

That was the only name she chose to go by. Her last name was Samuels, but not many people knew that. Eden perferred that people did not associate her with her well known last name. She hated that her father had contributed so much to the college, that the library and the administration buildings were named after him.. Hell even the cafeteria was named after him.

Eden was an enigma, keeping mostly to herself. An outcast, in grade school, high school, and now here. Was no wonder tho that this was the case, considering that she had managed to kill her best friend... accidently of course...but she was dead none the less. Eden still had not mastered her powers, but she was trying. That explosion had happened back when she was all of 12 years old. How was she to know that entering puberty would send her hormones raging and in turn increase her powers 100 x...

She hadn't meant to hurt anyone. At lease her Father and her friend's parents understood... sort of...

Eden's Father was a normal, red blooded american guy, who happened to father a child with a witch. Eden was their daughter. She was a witch thru and thru, but unfortunately, her mother was gone, she raised by her Father, and he being a mere mortal human, she never had the chance to learn how to harness her powers. She was learning now, but it was not always easy...

Eden wants to be a chemistry teacher, and is majoring in chemistry, biology, and anything else science related..

"Itth in your blood" they all said as the watched him pack up his surgical instruments, before heading off to polish his natural talents in the Mad-Med program at Transylvania University.

Igor didn't relish the thought of spending more time around cadavers, he just wanted to tread the boards, secretly enrolling in acting classes when he registered for the semester.

"Yeth, itth in my blood, and my head and in athorted platheth all over my body." he sighed. Igor's family tended to recycle useful pieces of anatomy, always looking to upgrade. For if not self-made, they tended to be self-improved men.

"Thankfully thomewhere along the way father dithcovered a knack for plathtic thurgery or I would have become jutht another thcar covered monthrothity like the retht of the family."

Ok, I've been a bad boy and let the signup thread slip a bit (I blame real life, and the fact I suck).

Dawn Dedrick is a pallid, sleepy thing who tends to be a little spaced out most of the time. She's gotten into college on a modeling scholarship, so she tends to act a little brainless at times. Because of her model-diet, she tends to be a little pale and rather gaunt. Don't let the blood-red lipstick deter, it's part of the territory with models! Needless to say, she's got a hunger for flesh! No, not like that... I mean, what model isn't a little sex-crazed?

hello all i just wanted to say what FUN i am having posting with you all.
i seem to learn something new each day. of course i have made some very nice friends from here. and i thank you all for giving me a chance and being so kind. your all the greatest.

hello again. i am afriad that since this thread seems to have died well eithor its dead , forgotten or just a very very very slow moving thread. lol not sure which one. i am going to have to drop this one. i loved getting to post a little and i really did LOVE the idea. i think that i would have really had fun playing my little wierd witch if you guys decide to start it back up let me know.
