South Indian Ocean, 0800 Hours...

The Nimitz-class carrier, George H. W. Bush, trudged through the open sea, it's objective Japan for some routine maintenance. Mac smiled as they walked to the galley. "So what do you have planned for today Winter? I was going to probably just do some reading, and just relax. I hate that we're down for repairs, but it is nice to have some time off. Boy this is getting interesting around here, just a year ago, we wouldn't have been able to walk around as undressed as we are, even tho I don't think anyone's complaining about your clothing." "I have no idea. I'm bored out of my mind right now...maybe I'll do the same as you, just chill." She said with a sigh, wiping some sweat off her forehead. "Though with this heat, that seems impossible."

He grinned thinking about that night. That was one of the few times he thought he wasn't going to make it back to the ship.

"Damn, your birds nav systems are down too?" She looked concern, as if it was a family member or something. "I'd be going crazy if that happened to mine."

"That's what happened that night, it went down, and that's why I needed the help to get her home. She will be all right tho, the head mechanic is working on them now, should be up and running again by the morning." He smiled and looked at her with a appreciative look.

"Good to hear, your no good to me grounded." She said with a grin, jabbing him playfully in the ribs with her elbow.

Mac

"So are you going to go to the reunion next year? Can you believe it's been 2 years since we got done with Top Gun." He grinned at her and reached out grabbing her to tickle her.
