So much for all the spelling tests we ever had....

SHeesh, I actually read it staright through. My only problem was "phenomenal."

And yet people still bitch at me for my bad spelling- claiming that it makes me 'hard to read'

well fcuk tehm!

But it never mentions the fact that you need to know the words and spellings in the first place. This just demonstrates that the brain uses short cuts for lots of tasks.

But it does also explain why typoes are easily missed.

Phenomenal is badly used in this example as the first letter-noise is ph, not p, which is why you have to think about that one. If it was PHONMEENAL, it'd be easier. It doesn't help as well that they got the letters wrong for phenomenal, presumably trying to spell it phenomanal. Glad they didn't waste time on those spelling tests, eh?

It's interesting overall though.

Still, there might be confusion:

pnies - pines or penis?

daeinl - daniel or denial?

Yes - I read through but I did think phenommenal was paranormal...so much for New Yorkers not using their R's,huh?

My difisanctent sllems of pnies

Daeinl in the linos den.

It's all in the centoxt!

I saw it a few months ago, cool isn’t it?

It only works for site readers, those who don’t really look at the letters but only the shape of the word. Like someone else said, it’s one of the minds little shortcuts.
