One Guinness coming right up Vandal.

As I draw the Guinness leaving an inch of head I pass it to my old friend.

So tell me what have you been up to…….Still Writing?

Of course. I'm currently on the A Joining of Shattered Lives with SweetP, And I just started A.M.P.E. You should take a look. Unfortunately, we're out of male roles, but you can still take a look.

You?

But of course Vandal I am as ever addicted to writing here. Ah, Sweetp a good friend but we seem not to be able to write together. So I do not rather keep a friend .

Been a long time sense she stopped by the Inn. I do miss those days every now and then. However, nothing is as constant as change Vandal

There was once a Sheik who called into his court a Sufi wise man.
"What can I do for you, Sheik?" the Sufi asked.
"You are wise, Sufi. And as such, I wish to have some of your wisdom to carry with me for all of my days."
"My wisdom is for the world, Sheik," the Sufi replied, his curiosity aroused. "But you must be seeking a specific wisdom. What is it you are searching for?"
"I have come to a height in the bounty of my kingdom previously unacheived, but I do not wish to be brought low by arrogance. Is there a wisdom you can impart to me that shall stunt my ego without sending me into dispair?"
The Sufi thought about the Sheik's words for a moment, and then looked up to him, saying, "I shall return to you in one moon's turn with what you seek."
One month passed and the Sufi returned, bearing a simple ring of the finest silver. He presented it to the Sheik and said only, "May this serve you until Allah brings you home to him, my friend." And as the Sufi left, the Sheik looked down upon the ring and read the inscription engraved there. It said, simply, This too shall pass.

Very true Vandal all things pass in time or as I try to remember ;

Life is an adventure to be lived not a problem to be solved.

Typical Georgia July....

comes in like a hurricane, goes out like a sauna

Ain't it lovely? Georgians can buy sparklers for the 4th of July now, new law, just passed.....I swear

Actually, there's quite a fireworks display in the sky tonight as I type and it's pouring to boot. Guess I'd better sign off.

Goodnight Moon,

VoJo

*pouts* I missed my 4th Fireworks cause I was so exhausted from work. Oh well... There's always next year.

Just dropping in to say hi. :)

Vandal I do hope to see you this evening if our schedules permit old friend.

Night how goes it? Things are well here or as well as can be expected reasonably. Work is consuming most of my time these days and I miss the relaxing company and good fellowship of the Inn.

~ she was stretched out on the couch.. and smiles at Night and CG~

Mmmm 2 handsome men to keep me company... yessss.. dreams do come true...
hehe

CG work is being a huge pain in the ass for me right now.. But it will only be for a few months and I've endured worse.

Hello Ambrosia..

I need to go now friends but it's good to see everyone..

Night it was good to see you. I wish you could stay.

Ambrosia, I am afraid you may be down to one unless you can coax Night to stay.

BTW posted our thread.

Chere hope that you enjoy it. I fear your young Miss is quite excited and confused right about now.

Rubbing the sleep from my eyes I stumble down from my loft high up in the loft of the Inn the sweet seductive aroma of fresh brewed coffee calling to me.

Thanks Phoo Ming I really need this, this morning.

Settling in my old leather chair by the hearth I contemplate a very busy day at work.

*Slips into the Inn and sits on sofa with a heavy sigh*

Just watching TV about the explosions in London ...
So far, no one I know seems to have been hurt/killed, though there are those I know of who are well, but still trapped in the city and unable to get home ...

Such a sad contrast to the Olympic celebrations yesterday.

Such mindless violence is beyond my understanding no matter what the cause...

I just got back from the story on MSN and I find it very interesting that this happened the day after the investigation into Karl Rove's involvement in the blown cover of a CIA agent was announced.

Mari I am so very, very sorry that your friends have been put in harms way. I know it is not much but my prayers are with you, your friends as well as mine and all the Londoners. My heart is near to breaking as I remember my days in South Central London when I was a kid. If I can do anything just drop me a line.

I heard a really inspirational speech from Ken Livingstone, the mayor of London. He addressed the purpetrators of this crime and said you won't win. People come everyday through the open ports and airports to become Londoners, because they wanted to be free and pursue their dreams. People like the terrorists were trying to tell them how to think and they didn't want that, they wanted to be free.

They could kill as many people as they liked they wouldn't stop London being free.

Very Churchillian sentiments, a rousing battle cry of freedom. Good man.

Also, we're celebrating 60 years since the end of the war in Europe. We're used to bombs - these "people" (scum, cowards) don't realise we've suffered much much worse and it only makes us stronger. After that - the IRA didn't win - no one defeats the heart of democracy.

They have already lost.

Here, Here Chris so true.

We have once again been reminded that freedom comes at a high price, and men of conscious will pay the price and extract a terrible vengeance from those that lurk in the darkness and shadows to strike women and children.

It seems the cowards never realize that the “Soft Democracies” should never be aroused, for once aroused they a fearsome enemy.
