Heh, by reading Vare and daisee's post I ain't sending any more either!!! Actually those storms came from the SE. Chicago and that area got hammered and then up into SW MI on a line towards Detroit. LOTS of red in the radar picture denoting severe weather. I do hope and pray all are safe and well. :rose:

Hot here again today with mid-80's. I'm going to the beach!!! :)
 
I was in a watch till 8 last night and that was it -- got a little rain and nothing else -- i live close enough to the lake I dont usually get them cause they dont have enough ground to get running ;)
 
Mornin all... hope you all weathered the strom last night without problems..... me, I went to the movies...... when I came out, it was all over......... ;)
 
Good Afternoon, MI....well...while we did get some rain and high winds and a little bit of lightening...the storm was pretty much a bust here..atleast it waited til my daughter's open house was done with <which went well by the way...and thanks to the duck for being at my side for it>.........my a/c is definitely out..needs freon..or so maintenance tells me..but atleast it's not as fucking hot as it was yesterday...nice breeze blowing in the windows while I try to get my apartment back in some order after having my parents here for a week.......

The duck and I went geo-caching yesterday, late afternoon.........we actually found our first cache!.......we're gonna read more up about it so we know exactly what to do but this is definitely something we are going to do more of! If ya don't know what it is...it's a treasure hunt of sorts....read up on it on the web and get out there and try it! I'm definitely hooked! and what a better way to spend some wonderful outdoor time with the one ya love! :)

Moosie, Ive read about that geo-caching and always wanted to try it. Sounds like fun, especially if you like the outdoors. Anything good in the one you found? lol
 
So how was everyones weekend?

I caught a movie Sunday and Saturday I hung out with some friends.

What did everyone do this weekend?

I drove down to Kentucky Saturday...drove home on Sunday...then played hide and seek with a tornado lol

Roze... you'd have loved to have been here... stormed like crazy... I could have used someone to hold me...

I hate storms... and the boy was 20 minutes away with a storm between us... *sigh*

Stormed like hell down here

Hey I am in SW corner MI in the South Bend area and we had tornado's or funnel clouds but we just got the snot beat out of us. Even had a gentleman pass away because of his roof blowing on him. The storms seemed to explode on us though was crazy to watch on the weather sites on here that have live doppler. Anyway enough of that. Like I said I am down from most of you but am single and no friends with benefits if you get my drift. Would like to meet some new ones if you would like to talk shoot me a message but please be patient I don't get on here all the time. Thanks

Define good ??

We didn't take anything or really check it all out. It was our first attempt so we were just trying to find the thing. I think we are going to give it another go this weekend.

SEE damn it i love storms and we coulda cuddled and everything and not had to share with Cog ;) ... unless of course we ended up with Beasties in bed with us then well hell that would have been fine too :heart: --

Moo said theirs was nice too the stood on the porch and watched it :catroar: as all the chickens watched from the house ( her mom and dad and everyone else)

Actually it was kind of lame....no lightning or thunder to speak of, just lot's of rain. The most interesting part was all the raccoons that came out raiding afterwards.

Boomers, rain and possible severe stuff on the way. Here in Milw. now. Yea, it's cooling off a bit. Nappy time!!! ;)

Hmmmm, maybe they could smell stuff better with it being pinned to the ground by the humidity? Interesting. This is bad, I haven't had a line in the water yet this year. Slipping. Not sure I could cast lefty though anyhow..... :confused:

Went out tonight for a couple of hours......

2 walleyes

2 Sheephead

6 rock bass

5 silver bass

1 goby

and about 30 white perch, damn things got annoying after awhile.

Probably went North towards Ludington or Manistee...was headed NE from here.
I wished and huffed and puffed. Lungs don't work that good anymore to change the direction though!!! :eek: Sorry babe. ;)

Well the white perch are voracious. I think the alewive population in Lake Michigan is at an all time low. The intruders may just destroy the fishery like overfishing and the lamprey did years ago. But with no reversal of it. The Zebra mussells are taking the bottom of the food chain. Not good.

I need to get out next week and do some casting off the North pier. Want to grill a Brown. ;)

My dad has been telling me about this for *years*.
Sounds like fun, but neither of us have done it yet,
but he keeps *talking* about it.

I think the only thing you need to do, is find your cashe and sign off on the "logbook".
