Report: Senators and House members meeting to discuss Trump's immediate removal

I think we need to push for his immediate removal on both fronts, 25th Amendment and impeachment.

If they don't...they are Fascists. Maybe people will call these traitors what they are?

It was Pence that ordered the National Guard to be deployed. Trump refused. The process will be quick.

Both Houses are back in session and will complete the Electoral vote count. After that...Trump will be removed

An incentive for Congress to impeach and remove Trump before the end of his term:

The sole benefit that an impeached and convicted President would receive as a former president is Secret Service protection--not the pension, not the stipend for office staff and personal assistants, not the gold-plated health insurance.

The scuttlebutt on the socials is that the articles are in already in motion and they're calling for impeachment on Monday.

I'll believe it when I see it, but it's not a bad thing to look forward to, gotta say! :D

Random thoughts

The cabinet resignations might make it difficult to get a S. 25 majority. Not sure whether stand ins get a vote.

Added benefit could be that Trump might not have time to get his pardons/clemencies through.

Third point is that Biden might prefer Trump to be a festering sore for the GOP rather than give them the excuse of being able to say we (the GOP) saw the light and got rid of him in the end. And they would say so.

Rep. Ilhan Omar has already drawn up the articles of impeachment and delivered them to Pelosi before the Capitol invasion.

If they only put 1/1000th the effort they put into hating Orange man into actually doing the right thing, none of this would be an issue.

But we all know that's not going to happen.
