He had the best quote from Hannah and Her Sisters: "You see the whole culture. Nazis, deodorant salesmen, wrestlers, beauty contests, a talk show. Can you imagine the level of a mind that watches wrestling? But the worst are the fundamentalist preachers. Third grade con men telling the poor suckers that watch them that they speak with Jesus, and to please send in money. Money, money, money! If Jesus came back and saw what's going on in his name, he'd never stop throwing up."

it's meant to be a rainy few days so it's been an in and out day today :)

It's been a week, maybe more since I've been off my property or seen another person face to face.

The 61 miles on the bicycle today are as many as I've done since November. My damn caboose and my quadriceps are complaining. It could be (a lot) worse. Before I started riding throughout the winter, the first several bicycle rides of the spring were sheer agony. I've been astounded to discover how rapidly I lose my seat. It only takes a three-four week hiatus.

It was an absolutely gorgeous day with a 30°F temperature swing from the 43° of the morning (almost winter-like) to the mid-afternoon's 72°. There wasn't a cloud in the sky all day long.

Now I've got to go out and play three sets of platform tennis.

The day will be a net calorie burner.

I'm supposed to go somewhere tomorrow that I was supposed to go to last Friday but didn't. I'm not sure I want to go tomorrow either.

Like a deer caught in headlights...

"When in fear
or in doubt,
run in circles,
scream and shout."
