Due to hostile comments directed at me the last couple of days, I've reached the limit of my tolerance for such attacks, and I've concluded that the environment here on Lit. has reached a level of hostility, such that it's time to move on. Following are specific examples of the cause of my departure.

rosylady, you (and many others) are NOT to blame for this decision. As the saying goes, a few rotten apples haruined the bushel (or something like that).

I can't begin to recall everybody who has said this at one point or another; it has been too many to count. Most, if not all, have returned, including myself. You're pissed off, and you might have a right to be (it isn't my place to judge), but there are better ways to deal with it then just to say "I'm leaving."
 
You can't post private messages. You can, however, describe them in minute detail.

Too bad you feel that way. Try a lower sunblock, maybe a 6 or so. Some thicker skin'll come in handy.

Run with it and win, or just run, the choice is yours.
 
Interestingly enough most of the second thread you post there Owlz are people *encouraging* you to write, myself included.

I think while you are away, you should probably take your heart off your sleeve so it won't get dragged into the mud so much.

Why make a big deal out of it? If it isn't working for you then just fade away... come back if you feel like, don't otherwise...

I seriously think the GB should come with a disclaimer when you sign on. If you can't take the heat that is directed at you justly or unjustly, this isn't the place to spend your time.

Don't spend your time trying to please people, Owlz. Do what you want, and take the advice you deem noteworthy. Fuck everyone else.
 
I think he's making the right choice! If, in a thread full of support and compliments, all he can see are the few insults, he's not going to be happy at Lit.
