Calling All Ladies...(Casting/Recruit)

Heather's Bedroom.

The floor is covered wall to wall in a thick plush deep blue carpet. The walls and ceiling are a pale blue. The Dresser, vanity, armouare, desk, and desk's chair are of a dark oak of colonial style. The bed is a california king canopy bed of brass. The bed is covered with a blue comforter with brown floral prints on it. The sheets are royal blue satin. At the head of the bed is an artfully arranged pile of pillows of varying size. The canopy is covered with royal blue gauze. Near the walk in closet is a three sided full length dressing mirror. Set in a corner are a pair of comfortable chairs with a small dark oak colonial style table between them. The curtains are also royal blue and are thick and heavy velvet. On either side of the bed are bedside tables matching the rest of the furniture. on these are oil lamps with blue oil filling them.

Personality: Izumi is bright and charming with all the reserve of her culture's tradition, outwardly at the least. With moving from the confines of her country and indeed her people she has learned to be more free and her own woman. Izumi has discovered things about herself that would have shocked her in her previous life bt now she revels in them, all behind the quiet serene facade of her public face.
Bio: Izumi Oita was the youngest daughter and second to the last child of Hiro Oita and his wife. Two sons, older and younger then herself were seen as the future of the family while Izumi was seen more as a liability. When an opportunity came for her to be bartered away as a nanny to a wealthy relative, the family did so eagerly.
The change was to be good for everyone, the cousin had a nanny, the family had one less mouth to feed and Izumi would be exposed to culture and education by watching and tending to the family. This worked for many years, letting the young girl grow and learn.
Coming into womanhood the family no longer needed her services, so with a modest sum and the family's best wishes Izumi set out on her own. She traveled and learned a great many things about herself and the world.
Weary and worn she traveled, finally finding herself at the door of Chahaya Latjuba. Izumi worked as a housemaid for barely one week before her talents were discovered. Now she has her own career and friends in the other girls. Izumi will often paint nails, fix hair and offer other beauty services to the others as a means of socializing, she is still reserved and it helps break the ice.

Mist not to sound out of place, but all the other girls seem to have put more effort in their character while it seems you have only slapped together some things. I want to make sure we all have some consistency and background, so please try to put more into your character like the other girls.

And today I will be putting up the thread. Anyone else that wishes to contribute may do so, simply wait til the thread is up before asking me. Interviews will be held in this thread to keep the clutter from the other thread.

Also this thread is set in modern times, just the girls take on their own traditions and such. So don't fret if you were molding your girl off of a more modern appeal. Its all good in the hood.

Oh and the teepee thing...hmm... We can possibly stick a teepee further back in the garden where it will be on its own. But like the others I still need everyone to show me what your place of business is like.

Lily that means the kitchen/dinning room weeeeee... wondering what it will be in there. And here comes my post for the poolhouse villa.

Poolhouse Villa (Chahaya)

The Pat-Mase Villa in honor of her Bali background, Chahaya always wanted a piece of Bali to come with her to the States. Here it was in the form of a private pool house villa sitated in the Paterre Garden. Because the weather is always warm, the villa was sitated in a thicket of exotic foliage to keep a romantic and private allure like a home away from home. Often found here, Chahaya has fashioned this 'theme' to fit her Indonesian background with a Bali appeal.

The villa was fashioned as a mini home; private in all aspects but also functional for clients and the other girls alike. Stocked with all the necessities of the main house, the Pat-Mase Villa was definately the themed fantasy to be had.

The villa has been designed for relaxation and etertainment and proved optimum enjoyment of the tropical foliage and the private setting. Pefectally sitated and turned for an unforgettable sunset and sunrise. The villa with its high natural alang alang grass ceiling, the tall supporting coconut columns and the cool cream terrazzo paved floors is the very essence of tropical living. Overhead ceiling fans and gentle summer breezes keep everyone coll and the ample lounge area seating assures that there is room for everyone to relax.

The lounge has a music system with surround sound speakers in the ceiling. The 3 meter antique wood dinning table in the separate dinning area for 12 makes for easy and elegant dinning. A seperate air conditioned indoor study has a television unit complee with VCD or DVD and video systems. A second upstairs casual open living area also has a television unit with VCD, video and video game systems as well as a billard table for the enjoyment of guests.

The grounds are beautifully grasseda nd maintained. The swimming pool is lined with green stone with a white Palimanan stone surround. A small pound with fish is situated just under a bridge on the outside of the villa being the only entrance to the pool within. The pool is situated both indoors and out, a small poolside bar part of the indoor pool area. The pool is constantly heated 24-7.

Five rooms make up this tropical paradise away from the main house as each unit is air-conditioned all with en-suite bathrooms. The villa has been designed with a master and study bedroom bungalow on ground level, two seperate guest bungalows and a seperate wing with two ground elvel bedrooms and living area upstairs with glass sliding doors. All bedrooms have a surrounding view of the tropical foliage with large glass sliding doors also with split air conditioning units as well as overhead ceiliing fans.

Each room has a custom made oversided king canopy bed with built in wardrobes. Often overlooked in tropical settings each room have quality curtains for need of extra privacy. Each room interiors have been tastefully furnished with a balance of modern rattan and collected antique furniture and artifacts.

Raindance was raised on the Cherokee Reservation outside Oklahoma City. She was the youngest of three sisters. Her mother was the medicine woman, and while Raindance showed some signs of her mother's talents, her oldest sister would be the one to be trained. Raindance spent most of her time at the knee of her mother's father, tending to his needs as he aged, and soaking in his stories of younger days. She knew many of them were just stories, as her people had not hunted buffalo in a century, but her grandfather could no longer tell the difference between fact and fiction, and she honored him with her silence. He had been injured in a farming accident, and needed constant care from the time he was in his late 40's, so Raindance did not spend much time with her peers. This made her feel akward when she was around them. When she was 23, her grandfather died, leaving her with no real place or function in the tribe. Her mother quickly arranged a marraige with an older man, a 46 year old who had lost his first wife in childbirth. No one in the tribe knew that her new husband had a penchant for beating his young bride. Rain began avoiding her peers even more as the bruises became harder to disguise. One night, Rain's husband came home falling down drunk and proceeded to rape her. He then passed out, throwing his leg off the side of the bed and knocking a chair over. The wool shawl hanging on the back of the chair fell into the fire place. Rain lay there and watched it burn, thinking that at last her misery would end. 'But wait,' she thought, 'I have heard it said that an accident can be an unhappy woman's best friend.' She got out of the bed, snuck out the door, and ran. And she kept running. From town to town, she sold her body to survive, and life was still better than it had been, for it was her own. Finally she ended up here, where she was accepted, and even loved, by the othe women. A family at last.

teepee- 20' radius. firepit in center with kettle of hot water always hanging from spit. to the right of entrance is a large pile of animal furs. a small shelf contains jars of massage oils and incenses to be thrown on the fire. to the left, a few trunks containing personal items.

Good time to announce this. I will be going away as well. The date has completely snuck up on me.

I'll be going home for the holiday (American Thanksgiving for my friends in other countries) Trying to sneak a lap top but not sure how successful I will be with that. Since my family is in a small northern farming community that's about all the computer connection I have a chance of getting.

Aside from AIM possibly on my cell. PM me if you want that.

So I'll be gone from Friday 17th through Sunday the 26th.

My RP partners have rights to move my characters as needed or arrange convienent comas, what have you.

Gonna be hard not seeing you guys on a near daily basis though.

Kandi loves to cook... even more to get praises for it. Whenever Madame asks for a grand meal to be served, Kandi is always ready to please! Whether just food for herself and the other girls, or a full out party menu, Kandi likes to make everything nice. She always keeps her kitchen nice and clean, just in case she gets people coming in to try a few samples before dinner...
She changes the decor of the dining room and nook with the seasons and holidays- or just when she feels like a change.

Anyone is welcome to come sleep in the pool house hell we may have slumber parties or all nighters and such but being that it is Chahaya's spot its best that its left to the guests and the girls return to their rooms.

I sent you an email of the floor plans and posted I was getting it hosted by Tseranc and I would write something up after I got home from my In-laws. I'm home from my In-laws and will be writing something up now.

Izumi's spaces

The attic was a large dusty storage space, but the instant she saw it Izumi fell in love with it. Lower ceilings were not bother for her, the bare wooden floors were a welcome change from the tiles and carpets of the rest of the house. When she was given this room she dove into the task of making it her own with a passion. Now, much like the girl herself, the room is far more complex then it appears and with many a secret at every turn.

Bare open floor space was divided up with shoji screens , forming the wide space into many smaller rooms. A tea room set nearest the widow overlooking the ground. Morning sun streams through to pool golden on the hand carved low tea table.

Tatami mats cover the interiors of the smaller rooms, each having it's own theme of decoration. Scrolls of water falls in the bathing room, herons and reeds in another. Each section appealing to the simple sensibility and elegance of her culture. A vase stands by the main door just off the stair way, filled with cherry blossoms or other flora of the season. All the decor is minimal and clean. Natural woods blending with raw silks and soft lighting.


Izumi's bedroom is on the second floor, her windos facing the same view as her tea room above. She took longer in decorating it as it is a more personal expresion of her nature. Colors, fanrics and styles all displaying the taste for rich texture and depth that she has. Her bathroom continues to refelct her styles. This particular bed room chosen for the generous size of the bath .

Don owns Sonnema Construction. Mostly a Canadian based company they build everything from roads to skyscrapers. Don built the business from the ground up getting his first job with bird construction when he was 14, doing Flagman. he worked hard and has experience in almost every part of his business. He has an M.B.A. (Master of Business Administration), and his MArch I (3 year after Ed master's in Architecture). He married the first girl he dated and slept with and produced no children. He has two anyay.

However controlling his business and balancing his family life took it's toll and his wife left him almost 15 years ago. He attempted to throw himself back into his work and the company has flourished. But lately he wishes his life had been more simple and he had had, a simpler life than he currently has. This ha begun to affect his business and one of his executives has reccomended and his board agrees that he take a vacation.

Reccomended to the Moulin Rouge, Don is weary of what he is being offered, but sees it as a way to get back to the teeange and formative years he skipped. Or at least a way to talk to someone about it. Since all those Shrinks keep prescribing him drugs.

Physically he is in fine health though he looks hard as a result of hard work for the majority of his life. His body has lost some of the tone it used to have but he is perfect condition. His hair is slowly going gray but he has learned to accept that.

Now I'm not sure how the Application process works. I assume Post a Bio, Pick a girl, and then Kuu (Or your Girl) will approve you. But what do I know. Still First client up.
