Hey Shankara,


Here's my only tattoo, gotten at about the same time I got my hood piercing (no pics except from when it was really, really swollen so won't show those). Both an act of self-reclamation after spending years in a loveless and sexless relationship. The tattoo is a commitment to myself, my writing, to personal wholeness. It is a W done in the style of illuminated text. Opened up rather than boxed, it is surrounded by leaves and small berry-like dots that represent creativity, fecundity...

Would eventually like to have multiple tattoes that run down my spine. The next one - statement "My body blooms health" done at the base of my spine over my ganglia (where herpes lies dormant) in a stylized version of Japanese Kanji and Hiragana, bound by rose stems with thorns ending at the bottom in a "v" shape, at the top with a rose...

P.S., I figured it out :D

still working on how it imbed a photo, I see (or rather I don't see - hee hee)

I'll try to give a longer answer about how to do that in a day or so. Then I can see had good I am at visualizing from your description.

edit - wow, great tattoo. Got it done in the City?
