OOC /Casting Call: The Brotherhood of Mutants

Mutants. We are the next step in mankind's evolution, the next species to hold dominion over the planet. Humanity, however, will not surrender the world quietly. We must take it, as Nature has always demanded of her children. From the ashes of the old world we must rise. This is not a political fad or 'movement.' This is no mere coup. This is not simply evolution. This is REVOLUTION, and we are the Brotherhood of Mutants.

Welcome to the Brotherhood. I'll tell you right now that this is no place for namby-pamby, weak kneed, "can't we all just get along," homo sapien sympathizers. You can take that sap over to the X-Men If you believe that mutant supremacy is part of the natural progression and are fortunate enough to a 'freak,' you've found a new home.

While they've sadly placed themselves on the wrong side of the evolutionary war, Xavier's brats aren't completely stupid. We'll be borrowing their "hub" format for roleplay. Essentially, once the Brotherhood's base of operations opens up, it will stay open. It will be where members enjoy their downtime, interact, and build character. Should anything exciting happen, a mission, something outside headquarters and/or outside of the normal, a separate thread will be made to house the event. This will be the OOC thread for any and all IC threads.

While completely cannon characters are adored, tweaked and/or original characters are welcome. Perhaps you're working from limited knowledge, have always wanted to see a twist to a character, or simply want to streamline a character's history to keep it simple and start fresh. Creativity is applauded.

Sorry, 2 characters per player for the time being. An application does not guarantee acceptance. A good application does. Ankara and I decide what 'good' is and are more than happy to work with you until you have an acceptable application.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Try to share with us your mental picture. Optional if a visual is provided.
PERSONALITY: Not asking for anything extremely deep(though such is welcome), just a few words about what we might expect from your character.
POWERS: There's no such thing as too much detail here. While some powers are impossible to completely define, do your best. Say, if you're a living supercomputer, tell us what you're capable of. Do you have a photographic memory? Can you connect to other computers or the internet? How? Don't be afraid to give away weaknesses either.
HISTORY: What's your character done up til this point? This is a hugely important part of your application, as there are a dozen different versions of any given character and hardly anyone's knowledge is uncompromised. As there's no sample post required, this will test your ability to tell a story as well. Pay attention to other people's histories (seniority rules) and try to keep it to a manageable length.

'REAL' NAME: Quicksilver
'SLAVE' NAME: Pietro Django Maximoff
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: 6'. 175lbs. Blue eyes. Quicksilver cuts an extremely athletic and agile figure, one of the side effects of his mutant gift of speed. Though still young, the stress of life and his always intense demeanor can be seen etched in his face. His hair, white since birth and trait shared with his father, is appropriately windblown. He can almost always be found 'in gear,' wearing specially tailored bodysuits featuring ballistic nylon and kevlar, notes taken from motorcyclists' safety gear.

PERSONALITY: Quicksilver feels the weight of the world on his shoulders, frustrated with his family, future, and how he is no doubt perceived by the people he once called friends, people who for one reason or another did not join him in his quest for mutant supremacy. He knows he's chosen a grim path, but he also believes it's the right one.
Able to think many times faster than the average person, he is quick to move and often impatient with others. This super-awareness fuels a great restlessness in Quicksilver. He seldom jokes anymore. Some part of him is always considering the Brotherhood's next step.

POWERS: Primarily, Quicksilver possesses superhuman speed. He's maintain a steady 200 mph. for several hours. Consequently, his body is especially adapted to the rigors of superspeed. His cardiovascular, respiratory, and digestive systems work with fantastic efficiency. His body does not create fatigue poisons, but rather simply begins to run out of energy after a time. Quicksilver's bones and tendons are super strong. His senses, mind, and reflexes are all suitably adapted to match his speeds.

Quicksilver can press approximately 1,000 lbs., and leg press one ton. With the proper momentum, he can run up vertical surfaces or across water for a few hundred feet. While it's never been confirmed, Quicksilver is widely accepted as the fastest man alive.

HISTORY: Quicksilver and his twin sister, the Scarlet Witch(Wanda), were raised by Django and Marya Maximoff, a gypsy couple. When their powers emerged, the superstitious townspeople formed a mob to deal with the 'demons.' Magneto saved their lives. Indebted, they became a part of the original Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and faced off against the X-Men several times.

After Magneto mysteriously disappeared, the twins travelled to America where they worked to redeem themselves as part of the legendary Avengers. While they'd always been close, new elements of life began to wear at the twins' relationship. The Scarlet Witch fell in love with the Vision and Quicksilver could not hide his disdain for her relationship with the psuedo-human android.

Magneto, a recurring thorn in their sides throughout the years, would eventually be revealed as Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch's biological father. This shocking revelation haunted Quicksilver, setting into motion a series of dubious thoughts. Compelled to know more about his father, the two would have several fateful meetings, each one leaving Quicksilver more and more plagued by his heritage. He'd been raised to believe in equality for all people, but current events and his own blood told him otherwise. So it was that he wrestled with his demons, even as he fought alongside the Avengers.

Eventually, Quicksilver gave a part of himself over to his dark compulsions. Thus began years of hopping the line, from stints alongside his father, back to the Avengers, touting mutant supremacy on his own, and working alongside the X-Men. While is ideals pulls at him, so did his allegiances. His father on one side, his sister on the other... a myriad of allies on either side. For a time, Quicksilver even worked for the U.S. gov't sponsored X-Factor, teaming with notables such as Havok and Multiple Man. To the world, however, he would always be known as (and would always return to being) an Avenger.

In recent days, Pietro has taken a another grim turn. Mutants face a new wave of concern bordering on hysteria, and it's more than Quicksilver can stand. His people need protection. They need a leader, though no fitting mutant seems willing to step up. So it is that he leaves the Avengers behind yet again. Lofty goals in mind, he sets out to reform the Brotherhood of Mutants...

Secret

'REAL' NAME: Secret
'SLAVE' NAME: Jenny marshal

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Secret’s most striking feature is her purple eyes, which seem to illuminate when she feels under threat. Her body is slim and petite not strong looking in the slightest. Her pale skin is accentuated by her long naturally black hair with shocks of orange at the front. She hasn’t quite got to grips with the whole mutant thing yet and still dresses like a human, black jeans, an orange tank and DM boots

PERSONALITY: Secret is highly intelligent. She has always been heavily interested in biochemistry and molecular biology, how DNA and certain chemicals map out what an individual will be like and how it can be altered. Insecure but very inquisitive, she has only recently discovered that what made her seem out of place for so long was that she was a mutant and is only starting to come to terms with her powers.

POWERS: Secrets ablility to become invisible, undetectable by any being she has previously encountered (though she has only been in contact with a small number of other mutants) and ability to pause time, the best she has managed so far is two minutes though her powers are growing,

HISTORY: Secret was ‘orphaned’ as a baby and spent the first 15 years of her life growing up in a children’s home in central London (UK). For as long as she can remember she has been picked on because of her lack of height and unusual eyes. After she had been beaten up and cowered in the corner sobbing she never could understand why the other kids still bitched about her like she wasn’t there she never realised that she had become invisible. Secret grew to hate everyone around her, how they took joy in attacking someone smaller than themselves and how she never could be in control of her own life.

On the eve of her 16th birthday she received a phone call – her 1st ever- from someone claiming to have known her parents. The Russian accent wished her a happy birthday, told her to have hope and that she would soon have the chance to start a new life, she had many questions but the phone hung up before she could ask them. She had always wondered who her parents were, where she had come from. With little worldy knowledge but nothing to lose she escaped from the children’s home for good to track down this mystery person. She decided to go to the only place she could think of that Russian people might go, the nearby orthodox church.
While sitting inside watching the small number of people kneeling silently and others coming and going, wondering who to approach for information someone came and sat beside her. A man with a long black coat. He told her that she was ready to learn all the secrets her parents had kept from her by abandoning her in the orphanage. His accent revealed that he was the mystery caller.

She went with him to an underground club full of interesting characters where she was told that she was a mutant. He told her to refer to him as stinger, everyone seemed to in the club. During the months that she stayed with master she worked on improving her powers and learning about the complications of being a mutant. She was told stories of the brotherhood, a dying group of ‘evil’ mutants and was warned that they were trouble – hellbent on making mutants further outcasts of society. She considered these mutants to be unbelievably stupid! “With all this power we could rid society of humans and then we would never need worry about being outcasts again”. With her mind firmly made up that her destiny was with more like minded individuals Secret silently escaped the underground club, left stinger behind and set out to find the one known as Quicksilver.
 
'REAL' NAME: Reanimator
'SLAVE' NAME: Frank Waters
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: A slighty-built man, he has wiery muscles, and is slightly stronger than he first appears. He has unkept shoulder-length hair and a wiery beard. His grey eyes nearly always seem to be wild and staring. He stands at approxomatly 6 foot tall
PERSONALITY: Reanimator is quite quiet in person, and tends to avoid confrontation. However, when his powers are in operation, he can become quite sadistic, and enjoys spreading fear and pain.
POWERS: He can animate the dead! Not the long-dead, of course, and to get anything out of the cadaver, it has to be complete and 'fresh'. He can control up to about 5 cadavers at once, but it is a strain on his mental resources, and he cannot get them to do much. If he concentrates on just one cadaver, however, he can utilise it as effectivly as his own body (as long as it is complete!). He can utilise it's senses if he concentrates. When controlling a cadaver, he must concentrate, and is compleatly vulnerable
HISTORY: Reanimator, then known as Frank Waters, was born into a middle-class English family, and could have been considered to have a good life while young. He did do some stupid things, but was always set straight and told about the importance of the law. However, something he never stopped doing was torturing the little insects that would fly through his window - pulling off wings and legs, before sticking it somewhere dark to die slowly.

Everything started to change when his powers surfaced. Living next to a cemetry, he often walked through it and, when a headache flared up, as they were more and more regularly, it was followed by a series of screams from the local chapel. With his headache still flaring, he approached and saw people running in all directions. Peering round and into the chapel, he saw why. There was supposed to be a funeral service that day, and it looked like the old, dead lady didn't want to stay dead! The strangest thing, however, was that Frank found that he could seemingly control it. Once his headache passed, the corpse lost all semblace of animation, and collapsed.

He tried to keep his secret for the next 10 years. He started to look down on regular people. They had no power over anything. He had power over the dead, and thus, in his mind, that made him better. As the law had always been important, he started to twist it in his own mind to fit his own ideals. The law of the land, became the law of power. After all, what does it matter if a dead man robs a bank? The law cannot punish a corpse! And so what if he recived the stolen goods? Who would convict him of recieving stolen goods from a corpse? Also, Halloeen became a real hoot!

He was finding it more and more troublesome to hide his true demeanor, and had been hearing about a "Brotherhood of 'evil' mutants" in the states. Aquireing some more finances, he set off from the UK in search of those who shared his view of "Us powered, and them unpowered"

'SLAVE' NAME: Tanya Sealy

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Black Mamba is 5' 7", and weighs 115lbs. She has green eyes and black hair.

PERSONALITY: Black Mamba is confident and self-assured. If you feel like she's laughing at you, she probably is. Everything gets put into perspective when you can see everyone's fantasys and fears. She is quick witted and has a keen business sense.

POWERS: Black Mamba has the ability to generate darkforce energy and minor telepathic abilities, which allows her to generate peoples fantasies and nightmares. She doesn't fight with any weapons, she uses her abilities to distract opponents. The object or person who the darkforce creates is solid and can hold an opponent down. The only way to distroy the darkforce creature is to attack it. This can prove to be difficult if it is in the form of a loved one, or something that terrifies you. She can only create one fear or fantasy at a time. (example: If there is only one person with a fear of snakes, than it would only effect that one person, but if everyone in the attacking party is afraid of snakes, it will effect them all.)

HISTORY: Black Mamba grew up in Chicago, and worked for a while as a call girl, before turning to a life of crime. Then Roxxon Oil Company hired Black Mamba (along with Anaconda, Death Adder and Sidewinder) to retrieve the Serpent Crown. To help in this mission Roxxon's subdivision, the Brand Corporation placed a device in her brain, which gives her powers.
Sidewinder later asked Black Mamba to join the Serpent Society, where she became friends with Asp and Diamondback, and lover of Sidewinder.
Black Mamba later joined with Asp and Diamondback to form the mercenary group, B.A.D. Girls, Inc. But it fell apart when Diamonback was attacked by Snapdragon.

B.A.D. Girls Inc. reunited when Cable hired them to steal a computer hard drive form the Dominus Corporation. After battling with Deadpool for the technology, they determined that it had already been stolen by Shen Kuei (the Cat), and they confronted him in Hong Kong. Aiding Deadpool against an army of Makeshift and Rive clones, they completed their contract and the trio went their separate ways.

Which led Black Mamba to Quicksilver, where she was quickly convinced to help him raise up The Brotherhood.

'REAL' NAME: Nathaniel Essex

'SLAVE' NAME: Mr. Sinister

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Sinister

POWERS: metahuman strength, endurance, reflexes, and resistance to injury, telepathy, concussive plasma bolts, total control of his body at a cellular level, adapt his physical form to counteract mutant powers

HISTORY: Sinister is perhaps the greatest geneticist in the Marvel universe. He is capable of cloning, creating superhuman abilities and enhancing or controlling mutant abilities. His existence is unknown to the general public and he does his research in secret laboratories across the globe. He has employed the henchmen groups the Marauders and Nasty Boys.

Born in 19th century London, Sinister was one of the most brilliant scientists of his day. He entered a pact with the centuries-old mutant Apocalypse, who granted him immortality, among other powers.

However, Sinister has no allegiance to Apocalypse and, studying the bloodlines of the X-Men Scott Summers and Jean Grey, determined that their child would be a mutant powerful enough to destroy Apocalypse. When Grey was thought dead, Sinister created the clone Madelyne Pryor to sire the child who would become Cable. Sinister also has a connection to the X-Man Gambit.

(Just throwing him up to show who is playing him. When it's time for him to appear or if someone passes along a good Sl Sinister can be in then he'll show up on the thread.)

Spy and Screech, welcome to the Brotherhood! They're both really promising characters. Spy, I have to give you the obligatory warning - your timefreezing powers aren't going to be any more capped than you've made them. We're trusting you to use it responsibly. Dependency and vulnerability are both important aspects of a good character. (storywise, of course).

Supporting that notion, I'll be downplaying the super-strength aspects of Quicksilver.

I suppose a lot earlier would've been a good time to introduce my co-leader, Ankara. She'll have equal say in the goings-on around here, including the applications. (First time I've seen Mamba in all her biographical glory. Looks good, Ank.)

J.D., thanks for posting Sinister.

So now that I know there's some degree of interest, I'd like to reveal my schemes for an introductory SL. Rather than the X-Men stereotypical deluge of new arrivals on the Brotherhood's doorstep, I'd like to actually take an active role in gathering the team, as I'd like to see most future missions be more proactive as well(we'll find trouble, rather than trouble finding us). So going in order of application, I'd like to see Quicksilver actually assemble the beginnings of the 'hood. To get you all involved, I'd like each of you to come up with the scenario in which they meet. Is it in the heat of battle? A rescue? Is it over a nice cup o' coffee? Whatever. Just remember, Quicksilver is looking for you as hard as you might be looking for him. Also, if it helps you travellers, the BH and most activities will be centered in the New York area, though trips around the world will be made if you're a good enough prospect.

Because other players may be involved, I'd like to keep these scenarios hush-hush. Either keep it to yourself completely until it's your time or PM me about it.

One more note: No biggie, but please omit/downplay the 'Evil' bit in the Brotherhood's title, unless referring to the very original team. The word was dropped from their name eons ago, and as Ankara will point out, they see themselves as heroes for mutantkind, not villians for mankind.

Real name: Wraith
Slave name: Olivia Mathews
Physical Description: 5’6, blue eyes, and black hair.
Powers:
She can teleport long distances when she is alone and up to three miles with one other person. The distances she can go get smaller depending upon how many other people she takes with her. She can teleport to places she hasn’t already been because she can sense where objects are so that she doesn’t teleport into them. She has very limited martial arts skills.
History:
When her powers started surfacing, she found that she would go to sleep in her own bed and wake up a few blocks away from home. For a while she started to believe that she was sleep walking until one night at the supper table while her parents were fighting, she teleported herself into her room. Her parents were staunchly anti-mutant and horrified to find out that their daughter was one of them. To keep other people from finding out they started to home school her and kept her out of public. After getting sick of listening to her parents’ anti-mutant rhetoric she managed to teleport herself out of the house and ran away from home. She headed towards New York and occasionally ran with small gangs of mutants doing petty crimes. With them she learned some martial arts, how to make bombs, and started to learn how to control her powers.


I don't usually put what my character's personality is because I won't know until they start interacting with other characters.

The Annihilator

'REAL' NAME: The Annihilator
'SLAVE' NAME: Tom Sanborn
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: half asian, half caucasian. Light skin, short jet black hair, green eyes. Slight build, wiry, very little fat on his frame, sculpted physique from constant exercise. Stands at 5'9".

Tom tends toward t-shirts or polo shirts with jeans or work slacks like Dickey's. He favors jackets, heavier in the winter, and a windbreaker or a jeans jacket in warmer weather.

Tom's back is almost always straight as a ramrod. He has an aloof alertness about him, like a lion on the Savannah, assessing every new thing that comes into his presence to see if its a threat.
PERSONALITY: Preternaturally calm. Constantly aware of his environment. More then willing to leave others alone, but has a short fuse when he feels he's been wronged.

POWERS: Tom is an energy being, similar to Klaw or Wonder Man, nuclear energy specifically the force that binds neutrons and protons together.

Tom can absorb, into himself, the binding nuclear forces of any substance he comes into contact with, effectively disintegrating anything he touches into free electrons and creating an electrical discharge. As Tom absorbs binding nuclear energy he stores it in the nuclear bonds in his own body simultaneously increasing his density which makes him heavier, stronger and more durable.

Tom can discharge nuclear energy and has learned to channel these discharges through his hands and release them as bolts of disintegration. These bolts overload nucleai they come in contact with causing them to lose cohesion, exploding protons, neutrons, electrons, and minute amounts of electromagnetic radiation. Unless there is critical mass in the area, say from weapons grade uranium, this will not result in a 'nuclear explosion.' Additionally, only low levels of radiation are emitted, little more then background levels. The chances of getting radiation poisoning by being in the area of his powers are almost nonexistant.

When these bolts are fired Tom is releasing energy from nuclear bonds within his own body. Theoretically he could disincorporate himself if he released too much energy. Both Klaw and Wonder Man have reincorporated themselves from similar states. Theoretically he could absorb enough energy to reincorporate himself, if he could figure out how.

His body no longer has a human nervous system. Electrical energy passes through Tom without causing spasms or damage. He now disintegrates food in his stomach instead of digesting, and no longer has a need to respirate, his body now fully adapted to that of an energy being.

Energy cannot be created or destroyed. Ask Einstein, he'll tell you all about it. Technically, energy beings are immortal, but they can suffer fates similar to death. Disincorporation, or scatterring their ergs to the ends of the earth is one form of death. Wonder Man 'died' shortly after his creation, going into a deathlike state for years. Klaw has been contained in numerous devices over the years.

Due to his utter ignorance of his powers Tom is particularly vulnerable. Unaware of his true nature Tom will go into a deathlike state should he believe himself to drown. If a limb was severed he would not reform it because he doesn't realize he can. Should something pierce his usually thick hide he would react to it like a nornal person, unaware that he could just reform himself. Since it would take someone with Reed Richards or Hank Pym's background to diagnose Tom, he is likely to remain ignorant for years to come.

Tom keeps his energy level high, using his disintegration powers far more than his energy bolts. Consequently small arms fire bounces off him. A .50 calibre rifle round would bruise.
HISTORY: Tom is sixth generation Army, and was bucking to be the first officer by getting into West Point. From childhood through high school Tom never backed down from a fight, and won more then he lost. He didn't start 'em, but he sure finished 'em. All of high school was geared toward getting into academy. His father knew just what sports to go out for: boxing, wrestling and riflery, and Tom lettered in all three. If he wasn't spending so much time in detention for fighting and general surliness he would have made it into West Point. When he was rejected Tom enlisted, aced the ASVAP and put in for ranger school.

Basic didn't wipe out the insolent streak, nor did ranger sniper school. No, what turned Tom into a calmer, more prudent man was losing his closest friends in combat actions that officially never happened. He would have stayed for twenty, but near the end of his term Tom's power surfaced. It was simple enough, he was clearing some underbrush while getting into his sniping position and disintegrated a leaf that was in his hand. At the time he had more important things on his mind, but when they finished that mission he used some downtime to experiment and gained some skill with his disintegration powers.

When Tom's enlistment was up he got out and decided to put his powers to work for him. His first bank was in western Mass. He cased it for three days then disintegrated the back wall of the vault around midnight and walked out with $200,000. He left most of the money in the vault, and two bums wandered in and got caught. From there he moved up to bigger banks and now he's one of the most wanted men in New York, but he's in and out of banks so fast no one can catch him.

PERSONALITY: Joking, cynical and suprisingly optomistic, Knives is playful most of the time, but has displayed an aggressive side.
POWERS: Transitional biomorph, capable of morphing his hands and forearms into impervious clawed gauntlets. These metallic hands posses enhanced strength, razor sharp claws capable of cutting through almost anything, and cannot be destroyed by any means. He also posseses superhuman reflexes, and agility as well as peak human strength.
HISTORY: Knives has been on the run since his 16th birthday, when his power first manifested and he critically injured the young woman he was with at the time. Chased from town by an anti-mutant mob, he spent the next 3 years as a vagrant on the streets of New York.
It was during this time that Knives gained an appreciation for Darwin's Survival of the Fittest. His powers allowed him to survive because he was stronger. Mutants were stronger then humans, therefore more capable of survival, it was as simple as that.
It didn't take him long to realize the truth of the Brotherhood and so he has sought them out, to become a fighter for Homo Superior.
 
Ok, just so that everyone knows whats going on, I'm going to take over the brotherhood, while Gentli is away, Thank you for your patience, but I must ask that you wait a little longer, I'm working out a SL, and I will start the Brotherhood thread if not today, then tomarrow.
 
Just to be sure, you want us to meet you on deck, right? We're not going to do initial meetings?

I'm good either way, just want to be sure.
 
I'm not quite sure what Gentli had in mind, and I'm kinda flying by the seat of my pants, so I think it will just be better if everyone just meets me on the deck.
 
((ok it's been QUITE a while since I've done RP and it's never been in forum format so please bear with me))

Real Name: Surge
Slave Name: Allen Douglas

Physical Description: Surge's appearance is almost cliché. His hair is black. His clothes are black. Top that off with a trenchcoat and mirrored black sunglasses (guess the color) and you have an accurate portrait. His skin is deathly pale, due to his imprisonment in a lightless room for 10 years. Because of this he never removes his sunglasses and is almost always seen in long sleeved clothing. He carries a laptop in a small case as well as several USB keys at all times.

Personality: On the surface he is cool, calm, and controlled, but underneath he burns with a seething hatred for humanity. Though he does feel some level of brotherhood with his fellow mutants, his trust and his respect are hard earned.

Powers: Surge has the ability to draw electricity, light, heat, and/or telekinetic energy into his body, convert it into one of the others forms and fire it back out. The more energy taken in at once, the less time he is able to hold onto it (i.e. he has to let out the power from the third subway rail out IMMEDIATELY). Because his powers require an external trigger, he is extremely limited by his environment.

History: Allen Douglas' powers manifested at the young age of nine. His father, a high ranking NSA administrator, saw potential in these abilities and enrolled Allen in a top secret government training program for young mutants. Allen and the others were told it was a counter terrorism unit. All of the children recieved basic hand-to-hand and weapons training. Allen's specialized training involved advanced electronic/computer skills, hacking, and disguise (the main idea being he could go somewhere, hack into a system, use his powers to fry the computer, and disappear).

At the age of 16, Allen hacked into his program's own computers and discovered its true intent: A strike force against the mutant population should the need ever arise. Infuriated, Allen told his teammates, who refused to believe him. While trying to make his escape from the government facility he was captured and placed in a specialized underground cell: No light. No heat. No electricity. It was intended that he would stay there for the rest of his life.

Fueled by his rage, Allen slowly began storing up bits of his own body heat. After 10 years of imprisonment he'd gathered enough to blow the cell door off of its hinges. Once the guard came to drop off his food, he blew the door out and drained the man of all his body heat and electro-chemical energy. Two more guards died in a similar manner during his escape. Since then Surge has been laying low, hacking ATMs for money. Upon hearing of the Brotherhood of Mutants, Surge decided it might just be the means for his revenge upon the homo-sapiens.
 
Are we in the same universe as the x-men thread on this forum. I.e. Are we going to face off against them? Should I read up on their thread.

Jean Gray, Xavier, and Scott Summers were taken out in the x-men thread. They are in jail. It was decided that they should be taken out because Jean and Xavier are too powerful.

This thread is in the same universe as the X-men thread and we will be going against them. Feel free to read the thread but I don't believe that it is required. Because Ankara has said that they have a computer that lists the members of the X-men, feel free to check out what characters are involved.
 
Just to make things even more clear than Ithica has made them, We will be fighting the other thread. Also, that I won't send you to fight another one of your characters, at least not directly, for example, I wouldn't send Wraith to fight Storm. Also that alot of the information you'll be getting will be in PM's, atleast the major information that we don't want the other thread to know about. Because where would the surprise be if everyone knew what was going on?

Also, if there is a plan set out, follow it the way that you would follow it, just because some unforseen problem arises, don't change what you would do. For example, if you're making a break for the front door, and Storm shows up in the front entry, keep going how you planned it, (by the way, thanks alot Ithica :p ), It keeps things fair, and keeps you on your feet. We'll get started on a mission right away.
