OOC: Serial Killer Strikes Again ~ NEWS AT 11:00

That would work.. .I'm sure you would know what kind of questions a cop would ask in an vandalism investigation.

Not sure I would know the questions but will see if I can fake my way through it and then Wyld can get me straightened out

Yes... I don't mean to imply you've been behind bars. ;) :p

3 mth. advancement

Hello -

Those that are not ready to move into the 3mth slot need to finish by Tuesday night. Wednesday we'll move up our 3mth posts. I think with Babette going first, if that makes sense. . .perhaps she actually could make her date a few days before a 3 mth switch, so it has action for every one talking about the killer... and/or interacting with everyone. If you need to PM or discuss things with your character and another persons relationship and how "close" you've gotten with them then feel free to do so.

This would be a good time to bring in new writers, since we are "starting" fresh with a 3mth jump.

We have Babette, Sharing, Myself, Baron, Jus, Poohlive, Tseranc, Wyld - (Katamari - ?) As you can see we are short on the ladies, so if you know one that would like to write in here, dig them up and haul them over. :D

Posted early. I'll write up the coroner reports for these and the police scene. I'll send those to the "police" and you can decide what you are going to put in your posts after your three month jump. I'll post those here in the OOC. Do we have anyone willing to do the reporter?

I edited my last post, it only effects one writer. Angelica needed a "normal" looking life. . .thus giving her a boyfriend. ;) Careful Trevor. . .who knows what she'll do to you. ;) :p

Wyld excellent post, not only did I enjoy reading it, you provided a lot of details, catching things up to date.

We need a post from Wyld eventually calling Tseranc's character back to Plainsfield. . .unless that "call to the team" was for him too. You're decision there guys.

A three month post from poohlive and from Tseranc. Everyone else can continue interacting if you so desire. :)

:)

Ideas only .... no you don't have to use them.

Possible Ideas for the Crime Scene for Deb and Brian

What would the police see: This isn’t the Crime Scene report. Those can come later. This is just an idea of what I think can be taken from the post. You can use the suggestions or not, my feelings won’t be hurt. :)

No force entry. Two goblets of wine (Deb/Brian’s) DNA - Angelica would have taken hers.
Wine = if drugged will show up in lab reports later.
They’d see/smell/collect
Decomposing bodies. Ewwww
No vandalism. No struggles.
Upon entering the bedroom. . .Deb is tied to a chair. Body scrubbed raw from a scouring pad of some kind. (Could probably collect fibers at the scene)
Tied to the chair with wire... note no longer in the fetal position. Wire is still used though.
Deb’s throat sliced. So her blood would have pulsed and splattered out.
Brian was secured to the bed. . . wire. . .his blood drained into a bucket. Bucket and blood remain on the scene.
Brian would have vaginal fluids that would show up on the crime scene report
The irons were still used adding the word Pure under the name of mom and dad. That is how you know this is probably Daddy’s Girl and not someone new. . . The mom and dad would match the same design as the others.

Planted evidence. . . Hair samples from both Marc and Samantha. . .a small part of a fingernail, you can determine if it is female or male. A small sample of blood from Samantha you can decide where Angelica planted it.

Remember she messed up last time and has changed her methods. . . “Grown and matured”

Welcome to the thread. I can already tell you will provide an added spark

Poohlive an Tseranc, great posts :)

just wondering if I can come into to be a reporter

Alexi Michaels
Age: 35
Height: 5'9"
Hair: long blonde and kept in neat tied back fashion
Eyes: pale blue

After being assinged a new investigation Alexi must track down the suspects and officers involved in these serial killings, he's been an all-star invesitgator which is why he's be assigned such a story, but he's on his own as it is under such scrutiny by the FBI that the newspaper cannot back hi up until the story is printed

You are more than welcome to play a reporter. I'll give you some links to help you out, so you have a chance to get the "high-lights". There's no hurry for that first post of yours if you want to read through things first. The links will be the crime scene reports and the other reporters newspaper reports... things that you would probably have had access to as a reporter.

Greetings all, saw Red's request for writers and I'm feeling like a challenge. Finally got around to watching the first two seasons of The Shield and I really fancy writing a Homicide Detective. I understand we have a senior detective already, so I've got no problem writing his backup - detectives are usually assigned in pairs, right?

I've read Red's cheat sheet through, but not the whole thread yet. If we can work out a role for me in the thread I'll get totally caught up before posting my bio.

Welcome to the thread Steiner. :) A Homicide Detective sounds great.

I think, from what I've read, that Wyld's done a great job on this to date, and I don't want to steal his role. What I'm going to do is write up a more junior detective assigned to the case under his character.

Who knows what the boss is off up to? My guy will do his best to carry the investigation on until Wyld can come back and take over. We'll divvy up the work (And there's plenty of it - what with all the reporters and witnesses and what have you) if/when he comes back to us.

Sounds like a plan. Welcome and I hope you enjoy it. :) ~ Red

OOC: Character Profile - Detective Martin Hollander

Height: Five feet 11 inches
Weight: 165lb
Eyes: Navy Blue
Hair: Sandy Blonde

Dress Sense: Martin bought some great outfits in Detroit when he became a detective and has never bothered to update them. If you know what's in this year then he's obviously 3 years behind the curve. If you don't keep up on fashion he has unusually nice suits for a detective. One or two of them are looking a little worn by now, although he has one he keeps for special occaisions.

Casual Dress: When Off-duty Martin is normally working out or reading. He's not a barfly in general. Not that he gets a lot of off-duty time...

Martin (never Marty) graduated college and immediately enrolled in the Police Academy for his native Detroit. Law enforcement was something he'd always been interested in and, as a bright and driven young guy, he did well in Academy graduating near the top of his intake.

With his marks DPD had no qualms about taking him on as an officer and so his career began as one of two cops in a squad car working one of the average precincts in an attempt to protect and serve. Although department procedure requires college grads to put their time in on the streets initially, it also moves them up fast too, and Martin took his detective's exam after a year on the streets. He was ready for the move - patrol car enforcement was too reactive for his liking - he wanted to hunt down the smart bad guys, not scoop up the stupid or unlucky.

After a year in Robbery in Detroit he was bored again. He wanted a transfer to Homicide so bad he could almost taste it - when he heard there was an open slot in Chicago looking for a motivated young officer he applied at once. Only at the interview did the snag become apparent he didn't have homicide experience, so he wasn't going to get the Chicago job, but the Captain had a buddy who needed a homicide detective and wasn't so fussy about experience for the right candidate. The only snag was that it wasn't in Chicago per se, it was in the Plainview Police Department. Not exactly mainstream, but homicide was homicide - if he put in a couple of years at Plainview he could certainly transfer to Chicago when another slot opened up.

Martin took the chance.
