The Hallowed Halls of Hell - OOC

I believe that once again RL has taken control over V's life and he will be unable to post further. I haven't heard anything from him nor seen him online, so this is an assumption of course. I will just move my character along in the story as if he is absent until Satan decides his fate ;)

Will figure out something, or hopefully V will return soon.

Well, I'm back :)

Thanks to all for your thoughts while I was in the throes of Katrina. I made it out unscathed and I'm very happy to be back in the world of air conditioning, running water, and electricity.

With my return to LA, Satan has returned to Hell. As you may have seen from my latest piece, He is doing some housecleaning. On the list of victims thus far is: Zarkula, Arrios, Xaemyl, and Annakiel. Vowrl has contacted me via PM. I'm still hoping for Curran to make a showing. If I haven't heard anything from Vandalheart next week, I'll put him on the list as well.

Thanks to all that have stuck with us. We've got some new blood coming soon. Hopefully we can reignite the fire under this great tale we call Hell.

Well, Henrich is at the ready for the plot to step forward again. *smirks*

Annalyra - Princess of the 1st Circle

Excellent! New blood is probably just what this thread needs. It'll be nice to get this one moving again.

Anyway... hope you get a chance to get back to the thread soon, Krond! Annalyra's not gonna be able to hold her breath for too much longer! ;)

And welcome back, Erusian! Hell's been a little cold without you!

New Blood? Actually, I'd rather be thought of as "fresh."

Aparently I have been bad enough to deserve a trip to Hell.

I'll be along later to offer up some particulars.

Thank you for the invite Erusian. I’ve been trying to rouse the rebel angels for a long time now,

Here’s the making of my character, the beginning. I’ll leave it up to the Great Lord to place him within the hierarchy where he wishes. Although I would prefer to start at the bottom so I can eat my way to the top.

Eb’lamina

Eb’lamina is not his true name, that was known only by his Lord and Master, but one given him by the Babylonian priests at the Eanna, the ‘house of Anu’, dedicated to the worship of Ishtar. For Eb’lamina was their word for ‘the fear that lives in the shadows or in the dark places’.

Eb’lamina had been long on the earth before the Babylonian, back to the time that creatures first began to fear the dark. It was that fear that gave Eb’lamina life, the sound of the twig snapping in the muted shadowed forest, or the gray mist that touched ones cheek. Each time the roar of the sabertooth was heard in the distance, or the growl of the cavebear, Eb’lamina gained life from fear and grew into the creature he was, feeding off the fear of living beings. After centuries he became sentient, having sense perception, consciousness, and self-awareness. Suddenly he found himself standing before the fallen angel Lucifer. At the time he knew not who he stood before, but when the dark lord laid his great maw upon his head, he was given the knowledge between good and evil.

“Serve me and I shall give you power.”
“Harvest for me and I shall give you glory.”
“Spread my will and I shall name you.”
“Do none of these and die now, the choice is yours.”

Given some knowledge of Heaven and Earth, a distinct ego of self and of the world, a slow grin spread across Eb’lamina’s black scaly face.

Saying the first words ever uttered by him, Eb’lamina knelt before Lucifer, “Yes master, I shall serve.”

And so it was that Eb’lamina came into the service of Satan.

Welcome to the fresh meat, new blood, latest tenants of Hellfire Park Estates!

And now the business at hand. As I see it, we have a problem. In the loss of Arrios and the looming absence of Vandalheart, we have lost our two main antagonists. A lot of our plot had those two wrapped up in it. Most of those remaining have formed alliances with those still remaining.

We're going to have to reach deep inside and tap into that little core of hate and ambition to re-ignite the fires of discord in Hell. Lucifer can stir the pot, but it's up to you lot to bring it to a boil.

Now with that in mind, at their requests, I'm going to place our two new inductees.

Eb'lamina will be joining Sin'dra in the Fourth Circle.

Lady Kit's character will stir things up in the First Circle.

Furthermore, I'm thinking of kicking Vowrl up a few levels to Fourth Circle. The jury is still out on Curran. We'll have to see if he shows up again.

Sura of the First Kingdom

Before the fall: Anahita, high-ranking female angel.

After the fall among the mortals: Sura, Goddess of Fertility & War; Bringer of Joy & Pain.

In the Kingdom of Hell: Sura, of the First Kingdom

Appearance: Human enhanced by the “Terrible Beauty” of the divine. The damned turn from her, weeping in pain as she passes, the beauty of her face a constant reminder of the heaven they will never know. She dresses in pale sheer robes, open in the back to accommodate large snow-white wings. Bare feet and unbound hair give her an innocent mien. Sura is the perfect vision of goodness, the perfect vessel of evil. Her true nature is revealed in her eyes, the mirror of her black soul; almond shaped, with an iris like broken shards of black crystal, surrounding a blood red pupil. She possesses a demon form (description TBD), but takes it only in combat or at the order of Lord Satan.

Characteristics: A fierce warrior when provoked to fight, capable of wielding many weapons. Prefers to use complex strategies to defeat her enemies and excels at creating intrigue to pit allies against one another to further her own schemes.

Her relationship with Lucifer has not always been cordial, but she does honor him as her Lord. Sura has been absent from Hell since the last civil war and returns now to claim her rightful place in the kingdom.

Habitat: Vadatajs, the estate of Lady Sura, sits in splendor at the edge of the Field of the Lost. The name means “leading to nowhere.” An imminently suitable title for an estate in Limbo, and a place often confused by the damned with some divine way station that lead out of Hell.

Beyond the Grecian styled complex lie the Bloodgutter Mountains their red hued rock a perfect frame for the jet-veined marble buildings. An entry courtyard is closed on three sides by Suras residence, the Quarters, a dour building that housed the slaves and “pets,” and the entertainment pavilion. The fourth side of the courtyard opens to a meadow that separates the estate from the razor glass of the Field of Lost Souls.

Dense vines of thorny black roses wrap around the columns that line the courtyard in a double row from the entrance to the steps to Suras residence. Tortured souls are suspended on each column beneath the dangerous blooms. Other gardens include similar botanical nightmares in keeping with the owners’ passion for using beauty to invoke terror.

shameless, sacrilegious superslut?

Pish tosh! It's all hearsay, I tell you. Just cause a gal wears a lot of makeup and wears killer outfits...

Rumors aside, I would have loved to have seen the look on that upstart Jehu's face the day he left the local mutts to clean up the mess made by his chariot. See, he caught a conscience and thought he ought to give me a proper burial, but when he got back to the scene all he found was some left over chunky bits. (What he didn't know was that I had just invented Alpo. ;) )

Better late than, well... never say never. Thanks for the invitation and I'll be along indirectly.

Since Arrios and Vandalheart play such crucial roles in the current politics of Hell, I've decided to take over their characters. They won't receive Soulstones, but they'll still retain their stats and they will still pose real obstacles to those around them. I feel that it cripples the storyline too much at this point to take them out of the pageant.

Also, I will need stats from our new arrivals: Eb'lamina, Sura, and Melanthe. Refer to the first post in the IC thread for details on what stats are and how they are used.

We're going to keep this thing alive. It's too good to wither on the vine.

Welcome aboard :)

It's going to be interesting plotting things now! lol ;) Will see if I can find someone to help with Arrios.

I believe that Jorja is still with us. She's just getting situated with her classes now that school has started.

I certainly hope that Jorja is still with us...

I was asked to come in and play Arrios. So... I guess, I am.

ok then

Yay! Glad to see this thread's getting off the ground again. It's turned into one of my favorites. Now let's start mixing things up down there in the hot country! :)

Well, back. My computer still isn't. Still using a borrowed one. Told you it'd be erratic.

So, catching up:

Good to hear the bossman came out of Katrina Okay.

Too bad about Zarkula, Xaemyl, and Annakiel. (And Satan: turning your old prefall buddy from back in the day into stone. That's just cold, man. ;) )

Here's hoping Vandal Heart solves whatever needs solving and returns.

Congrats to SweetP4U on the soulstone.

And a warm welcome to Grey Bread, Lady Kit, Poohlive, and Maid of Marvels.

And last but not least: Apologies to Pywakit. Sorry to leave you hanging. Hopefully I can be less erratic.

Thank you Mike :) Good to see you've returned and death has once more returned to hell.

Ditto on the welcomes, welcome to Hell :)

Hoping V returns soon too, but we know how RL gets at times.

Anyway see ya in the thread :)

Sp

Thank you for the welcomes. This is a great thread I'm glad that there are still folks trying to keep it going. I just hope I don't slip into the writers version of hell while I try to catch up.

An administrative bit...

Eb'lamina, I need your stats. Refer to the Introduction Post for guidance.

And a bit of help for Melanthe, I edited Vandal's last post to include a 'knock' of sorts. It occurred to me that standing silent outside the door wasn't helping the transition.
