another question

I wanted to post some pics via attachments, but every pic on my HD is too big, any advice for making my pics smaller, all at once, this could take forever. Also for taking new pics, is there an easy to way to make them a little smaller but still good size. I hate it when people post pics that are sooo small you cant' see them.
I've not fiddled with my dig cam or software much, I just want something simple.

I think the default size depends on your camera and software. Ours produces gigantic images, but I'd rather start with something large and resize it anyway. I've heard good things about Irfanview, a free program which will apparently resize multiple pics at once. Do a google search on "resize multiple images" and you'll come up with a long list. there is a thread here in "How To" where people will help you resize pics... and I am one of those people.... if you want me to help you with them I would be happy to.... just pm me and I will give you an em address to send them to....

SweetErika is right tho... there are several small simple programs out there.... but I do not know what they are because I use many different full blown proggies.....

Thanks for your offer of assistance, I don't feel like messing with this right now, but when I take new pics, I'll check out the programs and get them resized so I could maybe post here.

[url=""www.irfanview.com]IrfanView[/url] is indeed the answer to your problem. The batch resize options are in the File/Batch Converion/Advanced Options dialogue.

Just so you know what your target size is, the attachment limits are (or at least were before the conversion) 100KB, and 800x600. The latter is a bit confusing, because a 640x480 picture will attach just fine, but the same picture in a 480x640 orientation won't -- because it's more than 600 ppixels tall.

IrfanView, is a FREE program BTW and is a VERY versatile image management program for Windows based PCs.

So.........It's been two weeks where are the pics. I hope they are cumming soon.
