And milk doesn't even have use-by, but best-before. At least here. Even when the taste starts to slightly change, it's still good for making for example pancakes.

Meat for sure. My refrigerator is very cold, and meat is usually good for a couple of days after the sell-by date. I can tell by feel usually if it's not fresh enough.

My milk does have a use-by date!
