The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

The only one that fits me is #3! 😆🤣

After this week's dishwasher episode??? We wouldn't have been doing it if the first one had lasted a lifetime.

My grandfather owned a 1924 Peerless auto when I was a kid/young person. It had grease fittings on damned near everything. Generator and water pumps shafts, rear wheel bearings - inner and outer per axle - it was pretty cool. The maintenance guide said to lube some stuff as often as 500 miles, others at 1000 miles, and the most was the rest of it at 2000 miles. So, if you maintained that car as directed, theoretically, in what's left of my mind, it should never have worn out.

I did look mine up; thanks for the suggestion!

The Oracle called Google said the answer is categorically NO on the E15 gas. I should be using "unleaded regular gasoline with at least 87 AKI octane" whatever that means.

I know what regular unleaded gas is and I always pump that. IDK how I would know if it was 87 AKI octaine. 🤷🏻‍♀️

By the Regular sign on it. All I have seen is 87 octane. It's in the fine(r) print somewhere.

Up. Coffee. TDK is in her favorite perch. Grooming. It's kinda funny/predictable. Got errands today. Meh, we'll see. The paint foreman is supposed to check in with us about the condo for next week. Could be tomorrow, too.

Rain in the forecast for Sunday, along with a cold front and cooler temps next week. It's awfully dry 'round these here parts.

I would totally do option 2! 🤭🤭

Last weekend, I had a friend visiting from Austin. Somehow, our weather swapped. We had a gorgeous weekend; Austin had torrential rain. 😱

We went to a craft show on Saturday then to a friend's for Easter dinner.

Then, the weather turned. We've been getting lots of rain. So much that my boat cover filled up with it and tore in several places. My helper and I took it off the other day. There was so much water, we had to slash the cover so the water could waterfall off the sides and the back of the boat.

I just took my girl outside and it's fucking SNOWING! Big, fat flakes coming down. Not DKA level of snow, but still unusual for our neck of the woods in mid April! I was just talking today about buying fuschia starts... 🙄

I'm still nearly 50 pages behind. Trying to catch up but thinking of bagging it and just starting here. I'll see if the old OCD and FOMO will let me! 😅😅
I would say cut your losses and start a day or two behind us. You’ll be pretty much caught out I think.

Or read a couple of @likes2watchU updates. They’ll get you up to speed quick!

Sounds like a great weekend with gorgeous weather. Friends + good weather = win column! (™️ L2)

But snow??? I was watching the weather news last night for the night before, and it looked like it was snowing up in the mountains in Washington.

Glad to have you back on the boards, Lil!!

Oh my some of these are good.

These have already been sent to some of my friends via text…

You are a bad influence!
I wasn't intending to get a brain transplant but then I changed my mind.

If a word in the dictionary was misspelled, how would we know?

What do you get if you cross alcohol with literature? Tequila mockingbird.

What in the actual hell is going on with the weather.... and shit to all the rain. That sucks

I watch a guy on YouTube that covers shipping. I came across him when I was trying to follow what was going on with the Key Bridgie (Frances Scott Key in Baltimore) collapse. The unfortunate part of what he reports is gas prices will continue to rise and since it is a global marked we may run into shortages here as we start to ship oil overseas. The good news is we don't have the capacity to fiil all the empty tankers that are headed this way.
We sell a lot of ocean marine insurance, so we have to keep our underwriters up to speed with the marine, aviation (etc many other markets).

It’s very interesting and a very interesting market.

We write a lot out of our New York office, but most of it is still written out of Lloyd’s of London.

These guys know the business inside and out. It’s really interesting.

My parents still have their hand mixer they got at their wedding. Works great

They most certainly don’t make anything to last. However, if you think about it, cars last a shit ton longer now than they used to.

Need to have a car last 100,000 miles back in the old days was a real feat. No cars routinely get a 200k (or more) miles on them.

But yes, in theory they should never give out!!

I posted this twice. Sal speaks to marine insurance and the rates.
