Slept in today. Watching some football and switching to my favorite cooking shows on the public station. I have been known to actually try what they show every now and again! Counting down the hours till the Las Vegas Gran Prix! It’s been a fantastic year in Formula 1, so hope the race is a good one. Vegas put on a quite the show last year.

MZ has turned into AZ as I waaaay overslept this morning.

Had a nice day today.

My one sister visited my mom today and had a good visit. She’s still confused and a bit upset but had a good, productive visit.

In the meantime, my wife and I drove up to upstate New York to visit my sister who’s having a difficult time. We had a really nice visit and helped her get some work done on her attic that she’s refurbishing into a room. it’s pretty amazing, she’s pretty crafty. I gotta tell you.

She made a finished attic, instead of buying shiplap, she bought 3/4 plywood with a maple finish and ripped it into strips. It looks really good!!

We had a late lunch at Cohens, which is one of the best bakeries on the planet!

Back from a walk. The heel is still tender. It's fully supported, so I don't know.

Are you doing any exercises? Do you have orthotics? It's amazing how much better they can make your feet feel.

The diagnosis du jour is tendinitis. I go back to see her again the first week of next month. We'll see.

Inflammation of the Achilles tendon can cause heel pain.

I do miles by distance. Measured with the car.

So THAT'S how you do this! I can do get in the car and drive 12 miles. Or do you drive 6 miles out then 6 back? My kind of workout!

So back on the hill with the boys and finally winter has kicked in. Heavy frost and temp down to around 27 degrees F brrrr!

It was a great team of guns that kept us busy shooting amazing high birds. The boys did well and watching t Toby dive into the river and swim across for a bird he had seen fall was amazing. It’s moments like that which make the effort worthwhile.

As soon as the sun dipped the temperature dropped like a stone and it was numb fingers by 3.30….but good to be back!

Toby is a very good boy! I hope you rewarded him with some extra snuggles and treats!

A fucking genius who lived to a ripe old age. David is something like 14 feet tall and the proportions are amazing. How you look at a block of rock and see him standing there? He was in HS 20s when chiseling that/him.

I remember seeing The David for the first time! I was awestruck!
