Good morning all. Hope you are all sleeping soundly. Early Sundays in rural France is when the world is at its quietest. Most businesses closed yesterday lunchtime and many will not re-open until Tuesday morning. Right now there is not a single sound to be heard or a light to be seen for 20 miles. Bliss!

I did that with my conscious patients. With the intubated ones, I used a laryngoscope and Magill forceps to keep the tube from following the ETT.

To be honest inhale been having a break. The emotion and everything with my new grandchild and daughter left me feeling washed out. I had all the Remembrance stuff to come back to. I also had both covid and flu jags on Monday and dentist Tuesday. I decided not to go on the hill again until yesterday but rest. I also had two weeks paperwork to sort.

So here I am..I went on the hill yesterday…the dogs were a little wayward after the break but it happens. Today.

I haven’t bothered catching up I just don’t have time. Good to be back!

They are a culinary delicacy, originating in the 1990s in Scottish fish and chip shops. They are held up as a symbol of the perceived poor diet of the Scots by others (mostly the English)

It is just as it sounds, the chilled chocolate bar is dipped in batter and deep-fried until golden. I must confess to never having eaten one, so I cannot comment on the end result.

I went to a Karaoke Bar last night that didn’t play any 70s music. At first I was afraid, oh I was petrified.

Have any of you tried glide typing? I'm trying to get used to it as the auto suggest results are A LOT better. It's a lot faster, but really takes some getting used to.

Basically you put your finger on the first letter of the word then slide it to successive letters without picking your finger up. You draw squiggles on the keyboard, and it interprets those as button pushes.

Sounds like what we call "fair food" here. I think it's a law that all foods served or sold at any fairs must be deep fried! 😅😅😅
