The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Test done follow up in 2 weeks. He increased my protonix qnd did some biopsies. Ny guess was for h pylori ...

On a bad note. My parents got caught up in qn elaborate scam to the tune of 35000 dollars. They isolated them...impersonated a federal trade commission commissioner and told them a good story. I shut it down today........ long story cut short. I am taking over financial stuff and gonna help them with all the bs.......
Hi, really sorry to hear this. I had to do a lot of work to protect my parents some years ago. Their generation was just too trusting and it needed my (ultra) cynical outlook to help them. Programmed all their known numbers into their phone so they only answered it if a name came up on the display; set up a remote access to the PC so I could look at any remotely questionable emails etc. Set up strong password protection on anything and everything. Thankfully, they were never caught up in anything but you can't be too careful.
Good luck in sorting it out.

I am sorry to hear about the shameful scammers. My children had to take over their mother’s finances (my X) as she fell for scammers that took over her computer and got a thousand in gift cards. My kids were so upset. Damn those who prey on the old and with dementia (my X).

Urgh. I’m up. This tax bullshit is eating at me. Our farmland tax assessment was revoked.

100% clerical error on their part. But we can’t prove they received our forestry assessment form. It was hand fucking delivered to the tax assessor.

Now we have to appeal for THEIR fucking mistake. I’d like a “sorry” or even some acknowledgment that it was on them. I am sure we will not get one.
This type of incompetence really gets me pissed off. You were under control which is good. I would have ripped into them.

I was on an open boat on Lake Powell many years ago when a monster thunderstorm blew up. By the time we could get back close to the boat launch, lightning was all around. I dove off the boat and swam to a small dock where I could get out and run to the truck. My boyfriend had recently schooled me in backing the boat trailer but I hadn't performed well yet.

I backed that trailer up PERFECTLY, my boyfriend ran the boat up onto the trailer, I pulled it out of the water, he secured the boat, and drive us to our campsite. It took less than 5 minutes for the whole process. I was SO scared! ⛈️🚤⚡⚡
You did good and under pressure too.

Wow, sorry to hear this. My elderly parents get scam calls everyday, all day. They stopped answering the phone, so I set up Alexa and two way cameras so they can call us from them and be versa. People were almost getting mortgages on other states in my mom’s name, all sorts of crap.
We froze their credit which has stopped the big scams and we are slowly putting their money in trusts. No one can see what is in trusts and there are cotrustees that have to be gotten through so it’s less attractive and more work for scammers. It’s been a lot of work, but definitely worth it. Also we have alerts on any purchases over $3000 and anything out of the ordinary.
We are using Aura to get them off lists and monitor anything attempted in their name.
It’s hard enough for them dealing with being elderly without all these scammers.
Good ideas here. I have a trust for my son who is autistic.

Okay, that's it. I'm taking Mom to lunch today and it's about time we made this happen with/for her, too. She just can't keep her fingers off some kinds of triggers, and she's easily triggered.

Best of luck with yours. Keep a list of names so we;ll know who needs a visit . . . .
Wishing you the best with your mom. It’s tough to do it as they like their independence but we have to protect them from these devious people.
